Romans 8:29
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

22But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

23To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

24And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

--Hebrews 12

I wonder about the future........ does "islands removed from their places" speak of voices that are alone in the sea of many waters being moved into a place when God wants them to be for His use?  :dontknow:

:cloud9: The only thing He's ever given me on that, was that islands speak of the smallest bit of earth (carnal foundation) we stand on, and then even those are removed as He calls us to walk on the water (walk in the Spirit).

However I do believe that a lake is "a body" that consists of many individual drops of water and that the LOF is a body of "drops" with each drop being  a manifested son.

:cloud9: I can see this too. It's interesting to me that the Hebrew word for lake means, "haven", like a port in a storm or even a womb of the morning could be called a haven.

But what of the woman (church) at the well?

She has been coming there during the time of man being in charge of the water (6th hour) and consequently she has never been given the good water having been married to the five fold ministry (5 husbands) who could not draw good water but this last time Jesus is there waiting for her to give her good water

Is this "Jesus at the well" a many membered body teaching the truth to a church who has yet to hear it or is it a picture of us when we were called out to hear what the spirit says? I suppose it could be both but for sure it points to the fact that the five fold ministry has not brought forth fruits of the kingdom and neither will the church under their leadership.

:cloud9: I think it's both. We're like a microcosm of what He's doing, they're like a macrocosm; for a season. Good post.

Blessings Doug

Exodus 19:6
And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

We are called a holy people, a peculiar people, set apart, a kingdom of priests.

Priests are those who live on the word of God, who stand in the gap between man and God, who make intercession for others, who offer communion.

But, God's priests form the kingdom itself.  The kingdom of priests is the kingdom of God.

Titus 2:14
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

:cloud9: Yea, Molly's (sort of) back! Good point there, Moll. Never saw that like that before. Blessings....

Bless you all, yall "do" understand me, don't you? ha

Yes, Card, 7 x 1000 equals 7, 000.  Seven Shepards.???
John GoodNews answered me with a lot of scripture on
those.

Doug, about the woman who sat at the well, did you ever
read the article written by Snowman on that subject.
It was quickened in me that Jesus "sat" on that well, thus
capping it off.  He did drink of it, but He also told her
there was LIVING water.  I have some writings on that
myself when God made that so real to me.

Hi Red

Let us just say that concerning snowman and his wife that we do not agree and that I am quite confident that any interpretation of his regarding the woman at the well will be different from mine.......... nuf said

On the other hand the woman on a corporate level is the body and in this instance is being prepared by the Lord to be for the Lord. None of her five prior husbands could bring forth the male child because of not having the seed from above and is why Jesus has no place to rest His head.  Jesus who has the seed (His Word is Spirit and spirit is seed) is not her husband and must leave......... but as He said He will come again and hopefully at the time she will be prepared and not be one of the foolish virgins.

Blessings

16Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.

17The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:

18For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

--John 4

23But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

--John 4
