Although I do personally believe we are living very near 'the end of time', I've never felt I could make
any claims of being certain about what the mark of the beast is or who the anti-Christ is or is not or exactly what is
going to happen in any particular time frame.   I feel that my personal time in this world is not going to be very long,
and I think the same could be said for many millions of people on the globe.  There is some very evil stuff going on
in this world that we dare not dwell on, for dwelling on it does no good.    But I find it rather incredible when I come
across a web site such as the following one in which whomever wrote these things proclaims it with such a sense
of certainty.   For me, this type of certainty of man's mind is a dangerous thing....

That site is enough to make a person vomit

Anybody who falls for what they say has not fallen far........ they were already pretty far down the road of perdition

Because????
I don't see much (none) verses they support their beast/mark claims with.
But does that mean they are wrong/fallen?
Do you have verses that prove they are fallen?
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

The point I AM TRYING to make is that if someone belives that the truth of the beast or some mark that is a symbol of it which is visiable to the human eye as some sort of implanted chip would be has anything to do with the truth chances are they will accept the type of teaching the attached link proposes.

6 is the number of man

666 is man body, spirit and soul

111 is body, spirit and soul of God and Jesus as one (you see the Father you see the Son) who works through the number 3 (days,  levels to the Noah's ark, sections of the tabernacle etc etc)

777 is Christ body spirit and soul

So do the math and you will see that what that site teaches is a big fat zero

6+6+6=18 not 666

As said in my previous post I see not proof (verses) shown that the teachings of the site are true or false.
If you don't agree with the site it doesn't automatically mean they are fallen/wrong.
You could just as well be wrong. Or both equally wrong/right. etc.

Ragged Anne said it well:

I would say their site is a (good) start to do some research of your own.
But not accept it with the same certainty as they write it on their site.
I have to say the majority of sites write things with certainty...

Livelystone

LOL.........  18 is the number symbolizing bondage..... remember the woman who was bent over to the earth for 18 years that was set free?........

Once again ........ 6 is the number of man

Man is a body 6....... a soul 6..........a spirit 6 ...... together all add up to 18 that is a man completely in bondage, body spirit and soul with nothing about God in any part of him.

Like I said ........ do the math !!!

I've stopped wasting time replying to those that avoid answering.
You accuse the creators of that site of being fallen. But refuse to backup your claims.
Any yes I did the math. More than you can even imagine because there are many many such 'formulas' that seem to be absolute proof. Problem is many of those absolute proofs contradict eachother.

Last post from me in a thread with so much arrogance. "Do the math"

Do the math meant just that  :sigh:

There are a number of books that deal with Bible numerology although one still needs to be baptized in the Holy Spirit of Christ Jesus to hear what the spirit has to say.

The books you can buy and the spirit is free as long as one is willing to give their life

willieH: Hi Anne... :hithere:

This type of site is typical of BABYLONIAN Christianity... it is part of the CONFUSION which is ordained to be.  It proposes a FEARFUL future for ALL (including Christians), instead of bringing the TRUE message of PEACE to ALL... being completely contrary to it... deflecting TRUTH in favor of CARNALITY (natural thinking)... taking SYMBOLIC words and giving them NATURAL meanings (such as a physical mark on the forehead)... instead of the SPIRITUAL symbolism that only those with EARS can HEAR...  :dontknow:

Here's a perspective for your consideration, Anne...

MARK of the BEAST:

The "Mark of the Beast" is the adverse WILL of MAN...  The WILL of MAN is that which is IN BONDAGE to itself.  Sitting in the TEMPLE of GOD, and deeming itself (and its "FREE WILL") as the one IN CHARGE of that TEMPLE...  Claiming that ALL MEN have "FREE WILL"... even those that are UNREGENERATE...  When the WORD plainly says that it is the KNOWLEDGE of the TRUTH (CHRIST) which MAKES one FREE --- John 8:32

How can a MAN with an UNREGENERATE heart, have a "WILL" which is considered, "FREE"?  The very proposal of this ridiculous idea is an oxymoron...   :mshock:  This is saying that a person which is PHYSICALLY (and mentally) ADDICTED to HEROIN, makes a "FREE WILL" choice to use it, EVERY TIME it is used.  Please!

This thinking is a prevalent characteristic of MOST in the Church which claims His Son's name, not just those in the "WORLD"... for it subtlely and subliminally, credits ITSELF for its "salvation" making the claim and TEACHING others that one "comes to and then, accepts" CHRIST of ones own "FREE WILL"...  When the Scripture plainly states MAN is UNABLE to do this -- John 6:44 & 65 -- John 14:6

Which also plainly states that "coming to CHRIST" is accomplished by GOD, and the REVELATION of one (JESUS), is done by the OTHER (YHVH)... and vice-versa!  :dontknow:

The "Mark of the BEAST" (as noted in Rev 13) is found to be located in the "forehead"... which is symbolic of the power which is "IN CHARGE" of one...  and in the "right hand" which is symbolic of the ACTIONS/WORDS which proceed from that one...

BUYING and SELLING:

That a man/woman is submitted to YHVH and His Son, OR is submitted to his/her "free will", ...is reflective of the POWER and WILL which is seen in the action/words of that person... (buying and selling)

JESUS noted in Rev 3:18 -- "I counsel [advise] thee to BUY OF ME, gold tried in FIRE"... ...Was He asking us to make a purchase?  No!  :mnah:  He was advising us to "buy into" or BELIEVE in His LIFE and in HIS WAY, and in HIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS...

It is often said that one who makes proposals is "SELLING" his proposal that it might be "BOUGHT"...  If one "BUYS" the proposal, it is thereby ADOPTED, and a new "way" is gained, of doing things...

Don't let this site or any others like it, trouble you too much Anne... these things are meant to be so!   :friendstu:

Be about the LOVE of your Father in Heaven which YOU KNOW to be OPPOSITE of these CONFUSING predictions...

I looked at the site briefly (that's all it deserves), and noted that they even propose CHRIST as possibly coming in 2015!  Please!   :shakepoint:

We must NEVER make such predictions.  Instead, be about NOW, for NOW is the accepted TIME... the APPEARANCE of CHRIST and the "end of time", is imminent, and is NOT to be FEARED, rather is to be ANTICIPATED with JOY!

Those making such proposals as those in Orthodox Christianity, are the proponents of FEAR and SORROW, not the messengers of the wonderful, GOSPEL of PEACE...

Maintain the confidence and LOVE of GOD in your observations of those making FEARFUL proposals, knowing that GOD LOVE contains no such thing -- 1 John 4:18 ...praying for them, that soon GOD shall make an end to all this confusion, bringing LIGHT to the DARKNESS they propose of HIM and of HIS WORD.   :cloud9:

Good to see you too brother !!!....... you are a man after God's own heart  :HeartThrob:

I did stop in there a few days ago and took a short look but posting and regrettably much fellowship does not come easy to me these days.

Chatted with an old friend the other day and he spoke to me of how the little book does become bitter...... we are outside the camp and I know that you know what I mean

Blessings to you Willie !!!

Thanks for weighing in on this.    I had not intended to start any fights.  I guess I just don't really know exactly what I believe concerning all these things about the beast and the false prophet, etc...  It is difficult to talk to anyone about anything without causing strife.   It's like we dare not choose a side or an opinion about anything - we are crucified with Christ and the world is crucified unto us all.    Which reminds me of that scripture about there being silence in heaven for half an hour (or some such)...

And other scriptures about the Lord stopping every mouth (and there are many mouths I would be glad for the Lord to shut up).  Perhaps mine is one that needs to be quiet as well.

Sigh....

I believe I remember reading that the number of the Anti-Christ was actually 616, but it was later changed in the latter copies of the New Testament/Revelation. I think I read about it in Lee Strobel's book The Case for the Real Jesus. But I'm not sure. Has anybody else heard about this?

616 is a minority witness of a few ancient texts.

There are two codes using bars, 0 through 9, that are used in the Universal Product Code.  The first code is used for the first set of identification numbers (if I remember) having to do with products source location.  The second code is used for the second set of identification numbers expressing what the product is.  These two sets of bars are introduced by the number 6 from the second 0 through 9 code, the same 6 is between the two sets and that 6 is used again to close the complete UPC.

While in the Book of Revelation allegorical applications of the language are more profitable for our spiritual development, no aspect of meaning should be discounted because of some rigid doctrinaire.  Though I believe Jesus prophecy in Matthew 24 and its parallels has been fulfilled, a world wide web (www) as Jesus said would come upon the entire earth (cp., Lk 21:35) has already ensnared us in our times.  As a world government the United Nations (the 4th beast of Daniel's visions) has yet to mature with ten horns, assuming that may refer to todays "powers," members with nuclear arms.  In the meantime, the development of this electronic net with various implantable transponders or personal electronically readable marks begins to make possible a world wide economic system such as John described.
