Isn't it a good thing God knows what He's doing?  'Cause much of the time, we're a mess  :pitiful:...until He's done fixing us  :dsunny:.
The oldest known manuscripts agree with each other 99% of the time.  The scriptures, accurately translated, Spirit revealed - reliable.   Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.  Heb. 12:2

Ain't that the truth!

Nathan

I am currently in a very, VERY distressful situation concerning this very thing.  My message to the church has been that love should always be the first action we do, the first word we speak, regardless of how dirty we think the other person is.  We're not to become the judge of darkness in another, but we're to illuminate true light into them and let God deal with the darkness.

But unfortunately, this idealism has been taken to the other extreme where there is now a relationship (beyond a friendship) a very close member has taken up with not just an unbeliever, but a person who openly is after relationships of the unnatural sense . . .woman after woman, men after men . .if you know what I mean.

My response was harsh . . .there was no judgment, but there "was" an ultimatim given.  The reaction was bewilderment because the person felt that I have double standards.  I'm extremely grieved by all of this that's going on right now . . .

Perhaps this should be on the prayer thread . . .I was informed today is the national day of prayer . . .I would greatly appreciate it if your prayers included my situation.

Blessings.

:cloud9: I will pray Nathan. I have been placed in similar situations from the unconditional love message. Blessings...

The one's on the right/left of Christ are those who are crucified with him, NOT those doing the crucifying.

One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: "Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us!"
The other said: "We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve."

"We are crucified between two thieves; the mistakes of yesterday and the fear of tomorrow."

A friend sticks closer than a brother. And, is one who lays his life down!

I was referred to Paul Cohen by someone on here-and I'm chatting with him right now, and he's telling me to ditch all my non-Christian friends, which means I'd have to ditch all my friends  what should I do?

Even Jesus hung out with "sinners". Keep your friends, bro! The only time I would suggest "leaving" your friends if it begins to mess with ya (whether spiritually, physically, mentally). And even then, it might be you just need a temporary break.

Do everything he says or you're going to hell. Well, I guess that doesn't apply here. Do everything he says or else. And check with everyone here before sticking your foot into a snake pit :Sparkletooth:
