So i have these dreams but idk what to think about them............

For some time now i been having dreams ,once i had a dream that was a future event in my life(didn't know at the time until it happened)but it kinda seemed weird ,not only that ,i also had a dream Obama pulled popular vote over Hilary when at the time i thought Hilary was gonna win ,but at other times i have dreams of people i haven't talked to in a while and when i wake up and go on with the day they all of a sudden appear or communicate with me out of nowhere in some type of form that very day............its like if i have a dream of someone i know without thinking of them before i goto sleep i know in some way shape or form they will communicate or possibly see me that very day after i wake up ,my grandfather told me how he had visions/dreams in his sleep about the future so much that it overwhelmed him and he prayed God stop showing him the future........i told my mother about these things and she tells me she thought i could see things ever since i was young ,well idk cuz when i ask God to show me a dream i don't get any at all ,but when im not asking they just happen.........weird does anyone know about this?????im not a mature believer so i do not know too much about these things.........

yup...my wife and i have the same thing.She would meet the people i had just dreamed about.Usually we were able to speak into thier lives.
Lately we have been getting odd dreams..which i beleive is the spiritual atmosphere around us as of late.
Sometimes if we are in a certain setting(church,work or whatever)we will get dreams that give us more insight into whats going on.
If you wake up after a dream ....write down what you remember,then when you wake up later, pray and ask God to give you understanding...God has given us valuable insight even for our business.

For years, when I was only exercising my faith for the Words I'd speak in the upcoming year and throughout that very year, I'd often wind up dreaming my conversations in advance and I'd always know where Jesus was standing in the dream, although obviously when it would play out in real life, He'd be invisible.  There are a lot of different layers on God's work through dreams.

word..... ,Imma try to right down what i see in these dreams from now on ,like i been having some really disturbing dreams whenever i try and get closer to God ,for example dreams with demons ,and the setting of the dreams are usually in the setting where i fell asleep ,one dream was so vivid i thought i was fully awake ,but i was kinda half sleep and i saw a shadowy figure at the door ,and at that point i became paralyzed and could say anything ,it was like my mouth was moving but no sound came out ,only when i said "Jesus" was when i could hear a sound and as i said Jesus more ,it got louder and louder until the demons power over me broke and i was free out of the paralyzed state ,these dreams are still scary but they are not as scary as they used to be since i know how to fight it off.......but has any of you experienced this???????i want to live for God full time but theres a weak area in my life that keeps me in the gutter.smh it makes me so discouraged that i get tired of asking for forgiveness ,because it seems i will fall to that very thing again.....

:cloud9: Yes, I experienced the same things when I first came to the Lord. That is a demon trying to oppress you. It may be tied in with whatever you area you are falling in, or it may be from something you have already gotten free from, but that is trying to come back.

Don't give it any place in your life or in your home. If you or anyone under your roof has EVER participated in anything pertaining to the occult (ouija boards, Dungeons and Dragons, Tarot, fortunetellers, ect.), repent before the Lord, and clear your house of anything that pertains to it. These things don't come in uninvited; you have to open a door.

I would take that as Him allowing you to see what is trying to rule over you. Those things are not fun, and can get really ugly really fast. You must do everything in your power to press in to Him and break it's hold over you.

This is part of what I did; I anointed all the doors and windows with olive oil in the name of the Lord, and declared that nothing could enter my home that was not like the Lord Jesus Christ. I know for a fact, mixed with faith, it works. Stay in the Word, particularly encouraging yourself with scriptures regarding His promises for protection and faith. Blessings.....

It is not always because YOU opened a door, it is because
God is delivering them before you to smite!  It is a sign
from God that it is NOW alright for YOU to work with HIM
in doing this.

Idk what it is but there were times i could've been dead ,there were also times i avoided dangerous situations that my friends weren't so blessed to avoid ,i always had this feeling that God was watching over me even tho i never really lived for him like that ,i had people who i thought would be by my side leave me when the "storm" hit but were gone when i tried to turn to them ,been hurt by people in th churches basically grew up with out my father ,when he was there.....he wasn't "There" he would choose his wife over his own kids ,alot of nonsense ,i learned alot from these situations ,i think they are blessings in disguise i hope God will Rise me up above all this ,because people got me down for the count.lol there have been times i was about to lose faith ,a time where i stopped believing in the christian God but for some reason i came back ,cuz i just know he is real ,there is just too much things that he kept me from and showed me to think he is not real ,

I bit confused as to why Cardinal claims it's a demon. I didn't see Wolverine complaining about his dreams, simply that he had them. I think prophetic/future dreams are cool.  :bigGrin:

 :cloud9: I was replying to Wolverine's second post, and I replied that way because the Spirit of God does not paralyze you with the only way to get "free", being to call on the name of Jesus. But talk to anyone who has ever been oppressed, and that is a common "dream".

As RLV pointed out, sometimes we are "meeting" things while on the way up. And sometimes, we are meeting them, because we ourselves arranged that meeting beforehand, unknowingly. And sometimes we are dealing with things that came about as a result of past generations.

And as I pointed out, most of the time, but not always, this oppression comes about as a result of the person has who has knowingly or unknowingly violated the warnings against astrology, necromancy, fortunetellers, ect. Not that hard for the unsuspecting to do anymore, as a lot of things for both adults and children are packaged and promoted under the guise of "games", now. Blessings.....
