Dear Curly...

Please know that there are MANY differing viewpoints here and we have many disagreements.  (MANY.)
We are all at different points on on our own paths, but I would say it's safe to say that Most (not all, but most) here agree on one thing: God's love covers all. and not ONE will be lost.

Make yourself at home, share what you will and don't let anyone keep you from sharing.
Just share away...

A piece of peace back peacemaker.

About the peace logo.
Draw a cross.
Draw a circle around it.
Turn it upside down. Looks a bit satanic already.
Now break down the 'arms' of the cross.
=> power of Christ broken

Cross of Nero - Or Peace sign. Another sign that mocks the cross of  Jesus. Also know as "The Dead Man Rune". It appears on the tombstones of some of Hitler's SS troops.

Satanists (adversaries) of Christ are not the brightest in humanity, but you would think they would check to see if a symbol already had a meaning – before adopting it as their own. They think, if they invert a symbol it makes it evil, or if they spell something backwards – that's cool (no offense meant to any, truly). The fact is that this symbol of the peace sign has been known as Peter's Cross for nearly two thousand years. It is written, and believed that Peter was crucified upside down.

Many also assume that the cross is a Christian symbol. But its origins date back, long before the birth of Christ. It can be dated back to ancient Babylon and the worship of the sun gods; Mithra and Tammuz. In fact the cross was not used by Christians, until the fourth century, after Emperor Constantine had a vision of the cross in front of the sun.

Perhaps, this should be on another thread called "Paganism."

WhiteWings, I was wondering about that, but never spent the time to look it up.  Or if I looked it up, forgot about it 'cause I do remember looking up the symbolisms read into Stars of David, Stars of Solomon, and one or two other things.  I was either interested in octagrams at the time or something else similar that I can't remember the name of right now, and wanted to know "okay, if I get one of those, is life about to get really weird?"  Can't remember what my conclusions were about it at the time.  Just got busy and forgot about it.  It was a couple of years ago, and I had a whole lot going on at the time.  Probably took a better safe than sorry stance, but genuinely don't remember.

I've seen a lot of situations needing an exorcism where somebody couldn't get free until they got rid of armor rings or some other type of jewelry, usually in the amulet department.  Little statues and figurines can be pretty weird sometimes too, when the person that owns it doesn't think or believe anything even remotely related to whatever, and isn't looking to be connected to any kind of darkness in that department, but then their lives get cuffed on that.  Ever notice that the atmosphere in many museums is identical to that of a cemetary?  And you won't find anyone anywhere on any continent or any other planet with a greater appreciation for the arts than myself.  But sometimes, I just have to step away from it for fresh air, 'cause I wind up feeling like I need a very thorough bath, or whatever.  Or just need quiet time away from all of the synesthetic noise.

Anyway, hi, Curly, if the thread's hijacked, whoops! LOL!  Yes, Welcome to Tentmaker.  We've had two or three threads in Welcome Central become a bit long winded before with exploring something that came up even briefly.

When you've exhausted what's possible, then whatever remains, no matter how improbable, is liable to be at least a portion of the guilty culprit.  I know I just butchered Holmes with that sentence, but to me this subject brings up an interesting thought with how bound the ET crowd is and whether or not there's anything in particular, beyond the bad translations, that are keeping them in that ET wilderness rather than seeing Christ entering fuller and fuller into His office as the head of every man.  A lot of Universalists have been weepy in the past about Bibles being oppressive to them.  Beyond the obvious of probably needing something cast out of them along those lines, I'm wondering whether particular publishing houses if not the actual translations might be sending something along with certain Bibles.

Crosses are actually Old Testament.  All over the Old Testament.  Perhaps the most used Old Testament symbol.  I hadn't thought of it, beyond what I've seen of that in the Scriptures and sermons I've heard from others, but I'm going to google to see if any books have been written that bring all of those references into one book.  Not the specific line by line prophesies like Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53, but the subtle stuff in Israel's worship and all of the typology found of it in the Old Testament.  I've heard so many messages finding the Cross in just about every chapter of the Old Testament, that it's only now occuring to me that someone somewhere's gotta have a book on this.

:cloud9: Yep, I've seen the same kind of things revolving around those articles. I actually knew one woman who burned a $10,000 fur coat that was left to her by her sister, because when she put it on, she ended up possessed. Seems her sis was into some Satan worshiping and that principality is what attached itself to the coat. She found the Lord real quick after that, but not before sliding across the floor back and forth on her belly like a snake with no bones, WITHOUT the use of her arms and legs.

This, and a thousand other incidents I could name, are why no one will ever convince me demons are not real, but only in the "imagination." Your imagination can't raise you up off the floor a foot, make your body move like a snake, or throw stuff across the room.  Blessings...

The cross was a sign of birth of the sun. Planet alignment. Starsign bull killed by the archer or something like that.

Star of David looks similar to the free manson star. The triangles overlap diffrently.
Remove the horizontal lines and you get the free manson symbol. I think the two symbols are called prototracks in English...?

The problem with Christianity using occult symbols or the other way around are who was first? Coincidence? Just crept in thoughout history?

"He is not here, but He has risen. Remember, how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified (not by a figurine, or the fur coats of superstition, as idolatry comes in many forms), and the third day rise again.

So, tell me, are we to worship the cross or the living Savior?

QuoteSo, tell me, are we to worship the cross or the living Savior?

Bit of a trick question.
Surely we must not worship a cross itself because that are just a few pieces of wood.
I think the worship (of the cross) is about what it symbolizes.
Depending on the religion it symbolizes different things.
- Sun worship
- Satanism
- The works of Jesus
