Jesus knew the thoughts of men's hearts.  It is also written that, "Now we have the mind of Christ."  I experienced this several times, knowing exactly what someone was thinking.  One one occasion, as in the Lord I put my hands on someone I immediately was inside of them.  Another time, in a meeting, the Spirit of God came upon me and I knew exactly what the attitudes, intents and thoughts in everyones heart was.  The condition of the people reminds me of the openness of a screen porch.  From outside you can see what's inside.  Sometimes I used it to speak with a greater intensity to someone.

The other fork of the road I'm taking to come to a joining of what I'm saying was numerous times the Spirit spoke to me, sometimes it was in dreams or visions.  I got words like, "I did not say, 'Seek ye first the kingdom of God and righteousness.'  I said, 'Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.'"  Having been raised strictly to never drink alcoholic beverages, I realized Jesus' first miracle actually was to change water into real wine. So, one time, while showering, I was rejoicing over my new found good conscience in Christ without condemnation to enjoy a beer.  Praising God for the freedom He'd put in my life, the word came to me, "Freedom for what?"  Immediately I realized I wasn't rejoicing how I could walk on the water like Jesus, or fly through the air like Elijah, or freedom to be the prophet or miracle worker, the healer I know we can come to be in Christ.

I'm sharing this to make it easier to understand my desire for the Lord to talk to me and that I would function more prophetically.  I wanted to hear the word of the Lord.  I got into positioning my consciousness a certain way, straining to listen.  I continued with much intensity seeking to listen in the heavenlies.  I began to hear voices.  Words came into my awareness.  How much was of my own mind and how much became some kind of spirit or spirits taking advantage of the target I'd painted on myself in the psychical realm I'm not sure.  It was easier to get into than it was to stop.  I fell into this twice in the early days of my walk with the Lord.  It isn't the easiest to get free from.  This was an occult practice, a work of the flesh in a soulical way.  It was not spiritual.  I'm telling you about it to spare you the needless suffering.  Wait on God, seek His face.  Don't try to coerce Him to speak with you.  It is inevitable that He will, in His own way and in His own time.  Rest in His love.  To be drawn to God means He has already called you by name.  You'll awaken to it in due time.

"I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please." (Song 2:7, 3:5, 8:4, KJV)

This repeated charge is  also repeatedly preceded by, "His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me."  This described intimacy is the place to wait.

This hasn't stopped for me for 3 years.  Well, 3 years and about 2 weeks.  Several times this year I've entertained thoughts of having myself committed because I kept thinking "WHO STAYS THERE??" with regards to this kind of knowledge that flows out of love, passion, excitement, humility, and thankfulness that just won't quit flowing like a river.  It's unquestionably peaceful when it's flowing, but by myself, or particularly if I allow myself to become too tired, then the heaviness nearly squeezes me to death.  Yet, I wake up the following morning with a jump and a praise and am ready to do absolutely anything for the Lord and the Scriptures keep getting CLEARER AND CLEARER AND CLEARER AND CLEARER AND CLEARER.

This is where having a good spiritual father came in handy for me 'cause I got into this in the mid to late 80s with trying to MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN, and then I embraced the Lordship of Jesus January 1, 1990 at midnight in a Dwight Thompson meeting.  And then after that, the Holy Spirit lead me to really latch on to the only man that I'd ever consistently heard teach a triumphant message of an overcomers life in Christ.  Someone else instead of Dwight that someone recently associated me with on these boards.  I liked what at the time I thought was near infinite depth in him, and later I started finding myself surpassing him which was a bit unnerving, but anyway.

Several times he'd bring up this kind of thing of trying to force yourself into hearing something, and he had some really choice Words from the Lord that I needed to hear about not going there UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, but simply letting the Written Word be your first priority and final authority; the source of all you need and of all you consult, and as you continued in the Word you'd be Christ's disciple indeed, and you'd know the truth and the truth would make you as free as Christ Jesus, Who likewise continued in the Word of His Father and that's why He Himself was free, according to John 8.  And as God wanted to use these gifts in your life, then they'd begin to manifest, as long as you stayed in the Word, maintained a Spirit-filled life, shunned sin, and were deeply and forever committed to being where you were supposed to be so that when God would want to do these things through you, then He'd get all of the glory for it.

But I was taught early and repeatedly to put the pressure on the Written Word and not on gifts, to put the dependency on the Written Word and not on gifts, to put the emphasis on the Written Word and not on gifts, to put the emphasis on hearing and being a doer of the Written Word and not on being a hearer and doer of any word that you couldn't verify with the promises and principles of the Written Word of God.  If it was something where God was coming to get you for something, was there ever an incident in the Written Word where someone else had the same type of placement in that type of situation by the Lord, by one of His prophets, or in some other way clearly marked in the Written Word as His direction or inspired by those inspired by Him?  Feelings of worthiness/unworthiness has zero to do with it, because His Written Word, His Blood, and His life in His resurrected form, as revealed through His Written Word, are your righteousness.  What matters is His purpose, His call to and through the Scriptures, and all things pertaining to the Holy Spirit that you can validate by the Scriptures.

Several times during the 90s when I'd get off into various Charismatic streams in the Church that would try to force something, I'd inevitably turn on the television afterwards and my dear ol' spiritual dad would be right there with the finger pointed right into the television with a big ol' YOU BETTER NOT TRY TO GET OFF INTO VOICES!  YOU BETTER STICK WITH THIS BIBLE!! that had to be directed right at me without the least little question 'cause his eyes would be just glaring the way a lot of folks imagine John the Baptist to have been.  All wild eyed.  And then finally, after the 90s, my mind was finally renewed to the point to where I wouldn't get into the foolishness that I tried to get into in the 80s under any circumstances whatsoever.  Everything would be Word activated and Word sanctified in my life, if it was going to happen at all.

Yet all through the 90s the emphasis kept being on Ephesians 4 about believing God for the fullness of the manifestations of the anointing; not only ministers finally functioning in their callings at full proficiency, but the Body beginning to finally minister to itself in love and growing up into Him in all things.  The Written Word is still first priority and final authority in my life and so is absolutely all that He's wanted from me that I can find in His Written Word.  As I lay on my bed meditating in the Scriptures before I go to sleep, as I read them throughout the day as I MAKE opportunity, and as I'm meditating in the Word from moments before my eyes open in the morning to a few minutes after I wake up and realize it's about time to get up 'cause of whatever.  Or as I'm in the shower or doing other things and just thinking through the Word, perhaps praying in other tongues, thanking, and interpreting, I'm genuinely having the sense that what's been on me is only going to grow, but not only that, but that perhaps millions of others will enter into much fuller demensions of the anointing that God has for their lives within the next 10 years, and many thousands before the end of this decade that we're in right now.

I genuinely think that I just tapped in a little early to what's going to generally be available, at least to those totally sold out to being in ministry with the Lord, probably within the next few years.  I hate to place any significance to the 2012 nonsense that everybody's trying to get all spooky about with their carnal minds and extrabiblical nonsense.  But, I'd be surprised if by then the next generation of ministers weren't in full gear in the way that the late 40s produced the healing ministries that lead all of the big tent revivals in the 50s, and in the way that the late 60s/early 70s saw the launching of the ministries that are regarded as the big boys right now by the media.  Other ministries have come along before then and since then, but there never has been the level of the paradigm shift associated with them that came through the healing evangelists and then later through the Word crowd.

I genuinely believe that the next big whatever is genuinely starting to happen within these months that we're in, and that perhaps the next 2 to 5 years are going to launch onto the big screen (figuratively or literally) the next really major paradigm shift in the Body of Christ that's going to lead to perhaps UR, but at least Postmillenialism, being as generally accepted within 15 to 25 years within the Body as most of the Body will generally conclude these days that God in Sovereign grace may have done something special with some of the Pentecostal pioneers and some of the healing evangelists at one time.  In other words, I genuinely believe that we're stepping into that next big phase of Ephesians chapters 3 through 5 with a plethora of ministries and congregations that'll be as different in 10 years as the Azusa Street Revival was to the 1890s in this country with obviously rare exceptions predating it.

I think we're not even at the door, but in the door frame between that next room and the one we're trying to leave 'cause I don't believe it's even a closed door any more.  Many are forcefully pressing into it as the Kingdom's been in the midst of the violence of the naysayers and doomsday-sayers who've been trying to close the door on what God's beginning so that others can't press into it, as Jesus had to unfortunately indict many of the Pharisees that He was talking to along those lines.  Those that have been in the fires of the Written Word are about to come out as purest gold, but those that have been in fires other than those of the Written Word are going to look, but not be able to enter in until later because they didn't recognize the day of their Visitation, [in whatever form it's taking leading into this new epoch,] and weren't prepared to take up the same Cross that Jesus took, which was the Scriptures, so that all things Written in them from the beginning would be fulfilled.

I was reviewing a prophecy earlier this morning that was evidently given forth on April the 4th of this year.  It was the first time that I'd seen it, and with the exception of the Revelation 12 imagery spoken in that prophecy, it hit absolutely every highlight of what I've been sharing for days on the Book of Revelation board.  So, I've just been weeping the last three or more hours that we're really there with the Gospel proclamation pounding every nation into subjection, relieving the yokes off of all of the slaves, and meeting every need that's been in God's Creation from the beginning of time.  Like with Washington crossing the Delaware, the rulers of the darkness of this world are never going to know what hit them in the coming months/years as the next few things that Christ Jesus does happen in very rapid succession, new territory and new resources are taken by the Body, and even the most hardened academic, economic, entertainment, political, and religious skeptics are genuinely given something to reconsider.

Thank you, reFORMer, for having shared what you shared.  I needed to hear the testimony of at least one person that I knew (i.e. no television hype, publisher's hype, or whatever) that had experienced some of the things at least a time or two that have just been on ongoing part of my last 3 years.  All the while the conviction's been growing that this never going to go away, but in some form or another is going to consistently be a part of my life from now on in some degree or demension, even if to keep me walking by faith and pressing in to the Written Word, the Lord winds up varying some things or in some way shaking them up a bit for me to make sure I'm still awake and paying attention to Him.  I genuinely don't believe that those physical limitations that you've talked about, both in this post of yours and in previous posts, are going to be much of a factor for very much longer for at least those called to operate some form of dispensation of the Gospel to the world on a regular basis.

Nothing but ALL GRACE from here on out!!

:cloud9: Praise God, reFormer and Martin.....I too, have tasted some of what you're talking about. I hope we get to stay there or go on into a glorified body. In the last 6 years I've had moments of 1 to 3 weeks each, where I think I had a taste of the mind of Christ in an anointing.

The first began after I asked Him to show me if there was any truth to the idea of a mother aspect within the realm of God. He replied with a dream/vision that night, and for 3 weeks after I was waking just "knowing", like it had been dropped into my spirit, what scripture I was to look up the words in. When I did it would be rejoicing on my part, because those words just "happened" to have the content of what He had had me studying in response to my question.

With the addition of, revelation seemed to be operating full force, because if I heard any scripture, such as on the Christian radio during that time, it was instantly "translated" into spiritual understanding. This lasted about 3 weeks.

Another time He told me to fly somewhere to celebrate the feast of Tabernacles. The whole week was like that again.

Then a little over 2 years ago, I was at work, working 24/7, seven days on job, and He decided to begin pouring out again. I slept, I kid you not, only 7 hours that whole week. I went over 2 days without sleeping in once instance that week. This was not from insomnia, this was because the anointing had dropped on me and I was being quickened so much my body didn't require sleep.

Once, during this time, I just accepted a thought that I was feeling tired, and the Lord told me to rebuke that thought saying, "Your carnal mind is telling your body it's tired. Rebuke it!" I had never had the revelation before that it's OUR MIND that tells the body it's tired. I rebuked it and I was back walking in the anointing, where their IS no fatigue, again.

Once, during this time, I heard the radio playing a contemporary Christian song, and the singer said the line, "I want you to live thru me, Lord." And to my surprise, He retorted with, "That's a lie. I want you to DIE (to self) so I can live."

My co-workers in the home, thank God, were Christians and understood the term anointing, but they were still getting concerned over my lack of sleep, LOL.

This lasted 3 weeks also, and every spare minute I was in prayer with someone on the phone and revelation flowed and I have only had one other time of communion with God like this. I did not want it to ever end. Hopefully, one day that taste will be a reality and WON'T end. Blessings....

What a great report Card!  I've heard it's our pineal gland . . .the third eye in the center of our brain that tells our bodies when to sleep, when to eat . . .all of that . .so I see what you're saying . . .it is our mind that sends those signals . . . Great word.

Thank you Nathan, that sounds like a good explaination.
I do believe there must be a cleansing the tears haven't stopped yet.

All you've ever done is criticize me, to me and to others.

I would like to know why you think this...?
I have questioned your views, yes. Are we not allowed to question each other's views here..?

And when have I criticized you to others.?
Can you point out specific instances of when I've done this?
I do not think I am the type of person to do that, but I would like to know if I have done this so that I may apologize.

I do hope you answer my questions.
