Redkora

The current one is a feminine version of the first Internet username I ever had: Redkor. As for weaver2003, weaver sounded cool at the time and 2003 is the year I graduated from high school.

willieH

willieH: Hi Red... :hithere:

When I was a kid, my mom called me "willieH"...

I was a kid then, and even though I'm 62, ...I'm still a "kid" of YHVH...  :shakepoint:

hopeful

I asked God what my user name should be and Hopeful is what popped into my mind!

I thought, yes, I'm hopeful for all!

Transponder

I used the name Transponder to my US pal Cosmic Chris as I lived 'across the pond'. I signed on to AN using that name and on subsequent boards.

Redlettervoice

Name of a publication I used to send out. Red letters of the Bible.

And my pet peeve is people who use twenty eleven. Help an ole woman out here, will you, so we can
KNOW them that labour among us.

Using several alias gives opportunity for deception.

SeekerSA

Mat 7:7  Ask and it shall be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you.

That's basically where mine comes from.  The SA was added as seeker seems a popular name and the SA denotes my country, South Africa.

I seek truth and only the truth, it is a persistent journey of seeking and knocking.

shibboleth

My real name is Debra and when I tried to use it, or other similar names such as Deb, Debs, Debbie, Debby, they were already taken. I thought and thought about a name that I was sure had never been used. Then I remembered the word Shibboleth and figured it probably hadn't ben used yet....and it hadn't been used!!! So, it's been my name ever since and it is the only name I have ever had on forums. BTW, the story of Shibboleth is in Jd.12:6. It's really quite interesting and the only time Shib. is used in the entire Bible.

Michele

Cool thread!

I'd say for mine - I had my UR epiphany given through the story of the broken, stained, fire formed and  repaired glass......made beautiful by the light.

Gizmo

Okay...

I got the idea of using my cat's name from Mooch, who used to post here [I think].  He posted on Biblemaster and Gospel for Today too.  He and I have been friends for quite a few years now and he introduced me to UR.

My cat's name is Gizmo, and she was named after the Gremlin [yes, from the movie] because she looks like that little critter.

I also like my name cuz I like to be a bit of a gremlin...characterized by harmless mischievousness.

Giz

Sazzy

Hiya!

There is no great story behind my username lol. I chose it from one of the random nicknames that people have called me all my life. My real name is Sarah and sometimes I just get bored in using my real name

Kept

When I got my first computer and joined a chat room I felt strongly to use the name Kept from the verses in 1Pt about being kept by the power of God.

Its been my name for I think going on 10 years now. Ive used others for short spurts of time but this has been my mainstay.

God_Chaser_007

Hi all, what a cool thread. When I first got saved I read a book titled "God Chasers". It was about people who are so keen and eager to go after Him. It spoke of people who are not happy to just see where He has been but what to be where He IS. I added the 007 (taken from Bond) I thought, yeah I am on a mission to always be where He is.  :bgdance:

When I used to work with mentaly handicaped people in Germany, my german name was to difficult for them and some of them started to pronounce it as 'Floyd'. After a while my work colleages and friends started to call me by the same name and it became my nickname which I use very often when conversing with english speaking folks now. So that's my story.
It is much more possible for the sun to give out darkness than for God to do or be, or give out anything but Blessing and Goodness.- William Law

Man can certainly flee from God... but he cannot escape him. He can certainly hate God and be hateful to God, but he cannot change into its opposite the eternal love of God which triumphs even in his hate. --Karl Barth

Tony N

My username "Tony N" is interesting. "Tony" stands for "Of inestimable worth, beyond praise" and "N" stands for my last name.

I truly hope my name (or rather, my life) does portray God as being one of inestimable worth and beyond praise.
Just because God says He will save all mankind
does not necessarily mean He won't.

hope

It's my maiden name...so it's sort of a heritage thing for me...when I use it I think of both spiritual and natural heritage... :girlheart:

Sarah

Sarah is my name...I used to be hidden...and now am happy to be me.  :bgdance:

All Made Alive

AllMadeAlive.com is the name of the website I am currently developing.
(It is taken from the verse 1 Corinthians 15:22.)

Once the website is ready to be launched I will be sure to let everyone know.

Redkora

Wow! It's so interesting to get a snapshot of a person from learning about their username.
