Anyone here have any idea what this verse means?

Revelation 22:19 - And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life* and out of the Holy City, and from the things which are written in this book.

*Some MSS have Tree of Life

I've been pondering this verse for awhile now and still got nothing.  Any thoughts?

Nothing could be simpler: without the Book of Revelation, we can't have the New Earth and the things contained in the pages of that Book.  Nobody receives anything from God whatsoever without believing it and saying it with Him (Romans 10:10).  You've got to go back to the Hebrew concept of words and how the same word in Hebrew for "word" is the same word for "thing."  Many, many, many more verses could be produced on this:

Send one of you, and let him fetch your brother, and ye shall be kept in prison, that your spirits may be proved, whether there be any truth in you: or else by the life of Pharaoh surely ye are spies. (Genesis 42:16)

And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them: (Deuteronomy 17:19)

46And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the Spirits which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the Spirits of this Teaching.
47For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.
48And the LORD spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying, (Deuteronomy 32:46-48)

The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;  (Deuteronomy 18:15)

I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my Spirits in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.  (Deuteronomy 18:18)

Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. (Amos 3:7)

38He was in the assembly in the desert, with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers; and he received living Spirits to pass on to us. (Acts 7:38)

20My son, attend to my Spirits; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
23Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
24Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
25Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
26Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
27Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil. (Proverbs 4:20-27)

It is the Word that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the spirits that I speak unto you, they are Word, and they are life (i.e. to all of your flesh, see preceeding). (John 6:63)

Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the Spirits of eternal life. (John 6:68)

Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the Spirits of this life. (Acts 5:20)

1Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
2By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his Spirits.
3For this is the love of God, that we keep his Spirits: and his Spirits are not grievous.
4For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
6This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Word that beareth witness, because the Word is truth.
7For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
9If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
10He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
11And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
13These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (1John 5:1-13)

That's weird.  Must have been typing too fast 'cause I forgot to give the Proverbs 4:20-27 address on where that passage is at that I was quoting from the Bible.

The Concordant Literal has it:

Rev 22:19 And if ever anyone should be eliminating from the words of the scroll of this prophecy, God shall be eliminating his part from the log of life, and out of the holy city, that is written in this scroll."

The person guilty of the above will not have access to the log or tree of life nor be allowed into the holy city. Since the leaves are for healing and the fruit is to allow one to live the duration of that eon/age, the one not having access will die earlier than others.
Just because God says He will save all mankind
does not necessarily mean He won't.
