Lets not forget our friends

Even though sometimes things can get heated in forums, with debate and such and sometimes that heat causes members to get banned and maybe hard feelings could remain,  lets not forget they are still our brothers and sisters.

I'll be real specific in this case, but if other past members come to mind then take action with those as well.

I do not mean to sound judgemental,  but Craig is feeling a bit of separation anxiety and I am not calling for Craigs ban to be lifted,  I am calling upon those who at any time extended a hand of friendship while he was here to contact him and say hi.  Just something to let him know that an expression of friendship meant something.

It is easy to stay within the places that make us feel comfortable and forget others who need encouragement that are out of sight to our daily routines.

Again, this is not a mean spirited note, just a reminder to be a friend to someone who needs it right now.

Real pitty he's gone :sigh:
I always found his posts clear, to-the-point and informative

Matthew 18:21-22  Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Crew it wasn't me that wrote the above  :laughing7:
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

Craig reminded me of my stepson, you had to know him to love him. He could make you want to wring his neck, but hug him at the same time. I have no ill feelings about Craig, even though we butted heads sometimes. As far as I was concerned, I loved him as a brother in Christ, just didn't agree with him all the time and I am sure that went both ways. But hey, thats to be expected, right?  :happy3:  Hey Craig, hope you are doing good :hithere:

Such decisions were made...One could ask..does the owner, Admin and the Mods ALWAYS get it RIGHT....? go figure, for mine no..but at the Time , it seemed purposeful...

Thats of course anyone else here at Tent  who had these jobs would also Get it right 100% of the time

Hi WW.  Indeed, as Taf said, rules apply to all.  IMO, forgiveness doesn't necessarily equate to "go right ahead and just keep doing what you're doing, no matter what".  I believe we (especially me included) need to look inward and learn from our experiences.  But I agree, forgiveness does mean being kind, loving, and not "make a person pay" out of spite, and giving him love would be a good thing.

Maybe everyone else is great at forgiveness and it comes easy as pie...God has had to help me a lot at it, and I still can't do it without Him enabling me  :sigh:.  There...there's my confession for the day.
---------------
One more little note about moderating WW...I think you've been a mod before.  I don't know about the site you were on, but here, when it's all said and done, maybe 70-80% of what goes on here with problems ends up being handled "behind closed doors";  often with multiple opportunities given, pleas made for changes in behavior, often Gary even directly gets involved, etc.  Some things can go on for months, attempting to get folks to where their behavior is beneficial and appropriate out on the boards.  In general, no names applied, if over and over and over again a person is either unable to, or unwilling to become a family member we can all sit down and have our dinner with without food flying and people getting injured by the silverware, then they will probably end up being asked to partake of their spaghetti someplace else.  :dontknow:

Maybe someday when I've been a mod for years, I'll be able to just say "we have legitimate reasons"...then I won't bore you so much with my explanations  :mblush:.

Sorry Paul, I know this wasn't the intent of your thread.  Everyone that's of a mind say "hey" to Craig as Paul asks .

God's blessing, James.

Hi James,

No problem,  I understand where your coming from.  That's why I wanted everyone to make sure this wasn't a judgmental type post, just a reminder to maybe help a friend through some difficulty.

I have my own areas of unforgiveness, forum heat is just one of those I don't harbor things for very long.  Other people it's not as easy,   :dontknow:

Good deal.  I do notice that you handle the tit-for-tat in a controlled manner..better than me.  Sometimes I write something like 10 times as I settle down from  :talkangry:  or  :btantrum:.  Thanks.

I don't come here enough to know why Craig was banned.  But I can speak from experience as one who has been banned from the former Tentmaker as well as from a couple of poetry boards that it is a painful experience to be cast aside and locked out of a group.  Most especially because often in those cases it was a matter of intolerance of someone's firmly expressed opinion.  I have no idea what Craig did (as I said, I'm not here enough), but unless he was attacking others, it seems wrong to exclude people.  I certainly did not come close to attacking any person the times that I was banned.   Jesus was treated as an outcast.

I don't post this to stir up trouble, but just a s person who knows how awful it feels to be rejected by an entire group of people.  It brings some people to a very negative mental state - a feeling of desolation.  I would not want to bring someone to that place.  But I also would not want to put up with arrogance or outrageous behavior either and I don't know what the offending party did to get banned.

Sigh...

Not a mod, but I will share that if you're accurate in your explanation of your situation, then it's safe for me to say, Craig's situation was different.

NO worries Anne,

Gee Your banning were before my Days at Tent sis..must have been a few yrs BACK. :dontknow:

Over the seasons theres been many a change ,  no more Heated Food Fights being one ,certain Topics which seem to always enrage some folk  ,etc ..

Yes, along the way there has been a few casualties, your  never going to please all folk all of the time , but the boards run more smoothly for it, its certainly decreased the work Load the otherside of the board , because I assure one would spend more time there over issues and posters then one would like on this side. :icon_flower:

Its Garys Board and he directs the course ,Unfortunately It was Garys decision alone to remove Craig., as sad as it is for anyone else who may have consistently breached the guidelines for posting, who may also not be for a season amoung us.

Unfortunately, without getting into details, that's precisely what Craig was doing.  He was getting burned out on the boards scene.  He was jobless for a few months and that didn't help.  Got an email from him about a week ago that he's basically in the same situation again -- unless anything's changed in about the last 3 or 4 days 'cause I haven't been checking email.  Have been really thin on time and have only been making sure that things were going smoothly with the forums.  Anyway, I don't know specifics, but he said it was related to the economy and his job having to downsize.  Here's his website if anybody wants to stay in touch and has had little info to go on besides his profile at the forum.  Not sure at this moment if his web link is still on his profile, but just in case it isn't, or anybody that doesn't feel like they have the greatest computer skills in the world that might be unsure of finding that information on this forum if it were still posted on his profile, Craig's website link with contact info is:
