Failure vs. Success

One question I always want to ask proponents of ET is "What do you think Jesus' purpose was?  Did He come to save the world or give the world an opportunity to save itself?"  If the former is true as well ET, then Jesus is a failure and if the latter is true as well as ET, then He isn't truly the Savior.  The only explanation:  Jesus came to save the world and He succeeded!
