My name is Oscar Ray  I live near Olympia Washington....  I have read Gary's writings for a few years from time to time... I like to read Nathan who posts on another board and he mentioned this board so I thought I'd check it out.
I am 77 yrs old... been through everything from A 2 Z... still like to read others likes and dislikes

THE SEED IS IN THE FRUIT
I was eating a banana this morning and thought while I ate it... This banana I'm eating is the seed of a banana tree.
Then I thought about the apples, pears, peaches and other fruit, and then I thought... "Perhaps God's seed must be in The Fruit of the Spirit mention in a scripture I had remembered... Now lets see.. what are the fruits of the Spirit... love---joy---peace---patients---empathy---giving and forgiving--- This list can go on forever... but God is in the things we do for others, and for Him.

What a neat way to look at it. I always thought of 'the fruit of the spirit' as just being a one-stop destination of our growth, but the point of "fruit" is reproduction.

Hey . . .a familiar sound resonating again!  Great word there . . . who'd a thought that eating a banana would spark a revelation of such magnitude!  I wonder if the apes we supposedly came from, evolved into us because they got revelation from their bananas too!! :laughing7: :laughing7:

So, if we produce the fruit, we are planting seeds in others that will then come to fruition?  And, planting seeds in ourselves with our own words?

I love this "seed in the fruit" picture you put out here . . .there's much more to this beneath the surface once you start thinking about it.  Take it to the garden with Adam and Eve and see how this illuminates the fruit there as well.
