i want to send a BIG thanks to the ones involved in setting up and keeping  this website available to view and discuss the wonders of our God and His Son. i have been visiting (reading) and keeping up with discussions on different threads for some time now. i joined tonight so that i may put my  :2c: into one of these discussions and then it's off to bed. i will shortly return here to give some details into how i came about to learn about the awesome Good News i never was introduced to in mainstream christiandom.

             Howdy again ya'll

Thanks to all the welcomes. i thought i would give a little insight to my journey to where i have landed on this road we call life.

i have 2 brothers and 2 sisters. The oldest (sister) died just recently and i am missing her beyond belief. A few months ago i went and spent the day with her and we yacked about a lot of different subjects and i revealed to her i no longer believed in eternal punishment (we were reared in a baptist, hell fire and brimstone, church).
To my surprise she admitted that she didn't "buy" into that line of thinking either. I told her that i never really did either after about three or four years of being active in the church, things just started to feel "wrong" but i did not have the capacity to add 2 plus 2 and come up with the correct answer.

i left out of the church when i was 19 (i am 56 now) and never went back, thinking that if there is a hell i was destined to go there. However deep inside i just "knew" there was an answer to my question of "How could an all powerfull God not be able to save His entire creation".
i fell in love with a wonderful woman that i have now been married to for 38 yrs, we have two children both girls, and they are now out on their own and have blessed us with grandchildren.
We pretty much lived a secular life but i always believed that their was a supreme being that created all this that we experience and that there was a purpose for all that happens. Little did i know what was in store for us.

About 4 or 5 yrs ago i was diagnosed with non hodgkins lymphoma and things have now all changed, while going through the chemo i would have one week of chemo and be off for three weeks and then another round, so on, so on. During one of my three weeks off i started utilizing this wonderful source of info, called the internet, and started "digging" for the truth. i now know a LOVING GOD that has a plan and is carrying it through for His glory. In my search, one of these websites i found was tentmaker.org and a few others is where God started revealing some of His truths. i know i haven't been shown all His truths, but i am being shown truth as He intended for it to be revealed to me, in His time. i have learned a lot and still have much to learn.
i read these threads here and at other websites and a LOT is just over my head, but i just keep in my mind that in due time the dark glass will start to clear if it be His will. For now i rejoice in the knowledge that has been granted me.
May the grace and love of God be with you all

                                        Henry
