The Number of the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ

With all the talk about the mark of the beast and the number of his name, most people are familiar with 666, but they know little or nothing about the mark of Christ or the number of His name (3168 in Greek and 792 in Hebrew). Here is a blog posted by Pete Kelly that will help to answer that. It can be found on:

http://www.homewithgod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=175

The Bible tells us that "in the begining was the Word, and the Word was God." Later John writes that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We're also told that "all things were made by Him." It is a true statement, then, that our Lord Jesus Christ is the Creator of all things! So why would we be surprised if we found that God used math?

He invented it, didn't He? Of course He did!

The Holy Bible was written in Hebrew and Greek . . . the Old Testament in Hebrew and the New Testament in Greek. These two alphabets have both "alpha" and "numeric" values. For example. . . In Hebrew "aleph = 1", "beth = 2", "gimel = 3" and so on. Likewise in Greek "alpha = 1", "beta = 2", "gamma = 3" and so on. It is interesting to note that the title "Lord Jesus Christ" has a numeric value of 3168 in Greek, and 792 in Hebrew, and it is evident that these two numbers are found to repeat all through the creation.

For example...the mean diameter of the Earth is 7920 miles....792 is Lord Jesus Christ in Hebrew. If we place the Earth in a box that it would fit in precisely, we'd have a box with 4 sides that each were 7920 miles wide.......7920 x 4 = 31,680.....3168 is Lord Jesus Christ in Greek.

Look at a map of Israel...you will find that the location of Bethlehem is at latitude 31.68 degrees east......3168 is Lord Jesus Christ in Greek. The distance from Bethlehem where Jesus was born, to Jerusalem where he was crucified and resurrect is 6 miles.....6 miles is equal to 31,680 feet.......3168 is Lord Jesus Christ in Greek.

The thickness of Earth's atmosphere where the mixture ratio remains most constant is 60 miles....60 miles is equal to 316,800 feet.......3168 again!

Astronomers have determined that our Sun is merely one of over a billion other stars that make up the Milkyway Galaxy. They've determined that our Sun resides out near the edge of one of the spiral arms of the galaxy, and they've determined that our galaxy is spinning, which is common amongst galaxies. They determined that it takes our Sun 220, 000,000 years to ride around with our galaxy for one galactic rotation. One complete rotation is equal to 360 degrees......220,000,000 x 360 = 7,920,000,000,000.....792 is Lord Jesus Christ in Hebrew!

This relates to the speed that our Sun is actually traveling through outer space as it rides around with our galaxy during a galactic rotation, which is 600,000 m.p.h. Amazingly.....600,000 m.p.h. is equal to 3,168,000,000 feet per hour.....3168 again!

The distance from the Earth to the Sun is 93,000,000 miles. The Sun provides "light" for us on Earth. Jesus said, "I am the light of the world". Jesus also refered to the speed of light in the Bible! Did you know that? He sure did! Matthew 24:27 For as lightening cometh out of the east and shineth unto the west, so shall the coming of the son of man be. Notice that he said "shineth unto the west"....Jesus is implying that "light" has "motion"....which wasn't discovered until about 80 years ago or so. Needless to say...we now know that the speed of light is 186,000 miles per second....okay...remember the distance from the Earth to the Sun?......93,000,000 miles?......Okay.....93,000,000 miles coverted to inches is 5,892,500,000,000 inches.....that number divided by 186,000 is 31,680......3168 again!

Am I boring you guys yet? There is much more....but I'll stop with one more....the following example is the distance from each planet in our solar system to the Sun, only the zeros have been removed to save space....and a zero is merely an empty place holder any way....okay....here we go.....Mercury = 36, Venus = 67, Earth = 93, Mars = 142, Jupiter = 483, Saturn = 886, Uranus = 1782, Neptune = 2793, Pluto = 3672. When you add all these numbers the total is 9954......a circle with circumference of 9954 has a diameter of 3168!!!! Praise our Lord Jesus Christ!!!!!

I hope you've found these examples to be exciting and revealing. What an AWESOME GOD we serve!!!! Peace to you and yours, and may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ remain with you always!

Taken Slightly Out of Context :icon_flower:

Meaning Comparing Natural with Natural w , oppossed to using the Natural to explain the Spiritual , then to  compare spiritual with Spiritual,

Rom 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them.

Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

which Brings us Back to HIS language, Of  Colours, earthquakes, lightening, Thunder, Earth , Heavens, trees , animals, metals, ect

EX

1Cr 3:12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

1Cr 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

It just doesnt start and end with Numbers  :icon_flower:, Which kinda leads us Right back to the Book of Revelation, as that Too, is a Book of Symbols.

Better?

Perhaps you should say you don't see the links between spiritual and natural....

Biblical numerology is a fascinating subject.  It's another version of God's language to man.  And as Taf quoted Romans 1:20 is really the platform from which these things are understood. God uses the articles in the natural realm to represent spiritual truths.  There are a couple extremely common numbers that you'll see thrown around a lot in any given church. . . .the number 7 is God's favorite number . . .they say.   And 666 is an evil sign as it's the mark of the antichrist that everyone will have tatooed either on their wrist or their forehead.

It's a subject that I can't stay away from . .kind of like Revelation and Genesis  .two of my most favorite books to talk about.  Even people I work with who have no interest in a relationship with God for various reasons, will get all mysterious when something pops up with the number 666 on it.  The church has created such a stigma with this that it's considered practically heretical if you see this number to mean anything other than, the mark of the "beast".  Which the church is confident in identifying as the antichrist.

Which I personally don't disagree with either . . .it's just "my" view of the antichrist is much different than the church's view.  For me, the antichrist is between my ears.  666 is merely the number of man.

Revelation 13:18
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

I do enjoy stuff like this though.  And I also have heard the number for Christ is 888 which is to mean "new beginnings."

Well Nat, as Days are a Part HIS Creation, you would imagine They Too had a Meaning

Having once literally Kept the Feasts of the Lord mentioned in Lev 23,...The Last Day is The eighth day which actually Is the First day Of New Beginnings,

Jhn 7:37 In the last day, that great [day] of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

Neh 8:18 Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day [was] a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.

Declared at The beginning :icon_flower:

Gen 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day

hmmm . . .even though a day has three divisions, morning, mid-day, and afternoon . . . and the night has three in the dusk, night and dawn . . .only an evening and a morning are all that's noted to make a day .  . a resting of the sun, and a resurrection . . . I guess you could then say "that" is what Christ is made up of . . . Rest (Sabbath) and Resurrection. (Life)

I more inclined to see The complete " DAY" Consisting of Night( evening, Sunset) and Day( Morning SunRise)

, with sooo many connections

the Passover Lamb ( night) but Not allowed through the Door Until Morning,?

two lambs for atonemment, evening and Morning?...all speaks to me Of Two Covenants ,Both Bearing Witness to the ONE DAY.( 24hrs)

love some feed back on This Martin

Surely this is WRONG, there are 24 hrs in a Day, But Christ Seperates the NIGHT from the DAY

again Parabolic.

Jhn 11:9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world

it sounds interesting, but which hebrew name of Jesus was used? Yeshua, Yehoshua?
