No problem, I'm just curious.  Surly he is not that busy, or am I wrong?   It would be nice to hear from Gary  more.   :happy3:

I suspect the mods are censoring his material.

I can't really speak for Gary, but this is a little of what I know, and a little of what I think I know.  Gary is a s/w direct person, and perhaps sometimes doesn't "suffer fools gladly" :laughing7:.  He's a nice man, but many times just prefers to get to the point.  He has told me that basically, discussion boards are not his thing...I'd say, not his preferred or best way of communicating his understandings of God's truths.  He likes to teach, educate, so the way I believe he prefers to go about things is to do his teaching as he does on the main site and elsewhere, and then have others that he trusts will stay pretty true to his vision and are more comfortable in the DB format, to sort of represent him here.  He is in communication with Martin from time to time, Martin passes that along as needed, and Gary is also open to hearing feedback/concerns, etc., from the mods, which is mostly done through Martin...respecting lines of communication and all that .  He then makes suggestions as to how he would prefer things be handled, how to stick to the TM mission, etc.   My  :2c:. Maybe that helps a little.   God's blessing, James.

Yes,  that makes a lot of sense.  Gary has done a lot and is doing a lot to help people to know Christ better.

.  A lot of people come through and read what we all have to say.  It's a great ministry, and we're all a part of it!

I must be overlooking that...
I've downloaded all the books on TM and check reguaraly for new stuff. Nothing....!? :sigh:
Maybe Gary can have his own read only section on the forum where he posts new articles on regular bases?

The only way to the Gary is trough the Martin  :laughing7:

Gary's got about a dozen books that he's wanting to see published in 2009 and that's not including the Bible translation that he's working on.  I believe that he's pretty much fully recovered from the hip replacement surgery that he'd had about 3 months ago or so, but that obviously messed with his being able to do some things around the house and in other ways.  So, since he's been able to get around pretty well, I can imagine that he's been playing catch up on a whole bunch of stuff that he was virtually crippled from being able to do previously.  I believe that more videos are on the drawing board and Rick Spencer had told everyone on his mailing list that when he visited Gary that Gary had been working on a new series of articles on eschatology.

One of the times I've had Gary on the phone, he seemed a little embarassed that I knew about his new series on eschatology already 'cause they weren't finished.  I'm not sure what he's doing about an income, so that's possibly some of his time.  I'm hoping it's starting to come pretty faithfully through the paypal links and checks in the mail, but I'm not certain of that, having heard neither anything from the Lord or from Gary about that.  And Gary's somewhat regularly in touch with -- for lack of a better way of putting it -- some of the leading voices in the UR message/movement/whatever.  And on top of all of that, if his email load is anything like mine -- God help him! :laughing7:

On the top of the list of the top busiest men, first you've got Christ Jesus, then myself, then Gary Amirault, then Barack Obama, then President Bush, then... :icon_jokercolor:

Shhh... Don't give away all of the secrets of what I'll personally be doing in 2009 elsewhere.  If it weren't for the fact that Gary's got really long books, video, and audio on the site, then the forum really is all he'd need, and as you said a locked forum that would be read only for everything else.  Or one for various authors, one for his stuff, and one for new stuff.  But it wouldn't allow him to have everything arranged in categories like he's got it set up right now.  That's the only down side.  But a forum format can allow you to have a much more impressive look to the site with all of the templates that are already available.  It's the way I've decided to go with my main web site.

My grandmother's name was Rees (Rhys), so I've got a fair bit o' Welsh blood in me myself.

About the books on the main TM site.
I once tried to buy a few to support TM instead of Amazon.
"sorry to inform you we don't ship to your country"

About the forum...
I think it's much to hidden. I was Googling a bit for hell and found the e-book section. Great stuff let that be said; but only by accident I found the tiny forum link at the bottom of his page.
I think Gary could do better by mentioning forum, book section, YouTube and bookshop more clearly in everything he publishes. I don't know the correct expression for it in English but the one that clossed is "It's bigger than the sum of its parts."
