i know it might be not the right place to post, but sometimes i doubt if Islam could be the true religion, i know it condradicts the bible too much, but as beeing a strict monotheist, Islam sometimes seems to be to more logic for me, Hebrew and Arabic language seem to be quite similar, Isaac and Ismael were brothers, i think Judaism and Islam have more in common than Judaism and Christianity. I have allmost become muslim and have still some doubts, for me its hard to believe that God has a son in the way christian believes it.

do u pray to Jesus? is it allowed - i´m not sure, i dont want to do blasphemy against Yahweh, i dont want to give up monotheism and i´m afraid of doing so when praying to Jesus. what makes you all so sure, that christianity is the right religion? do you believe in the trinity?

i read once an interesting jewish comment about Genesis 9,27

God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

Japhet is Greece say the Jews, it was about the septuagint, if its allowed to translate the Thora into Greek, than something came into my mind, if Japhet is Greece, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem, the Jews?, might this be a hint that one day, holy scriptures would be written in Greek language?

are here maybe some fomer Muslims who became Christian universalists? i´ve read about Sadhu Sundar Singh, he was a Sikh, which is a kind of muslim sect i believe, so i quess he was a strict monotheist as well and become a christ, maybe you can unterstand my doubts and have some help for me.

There is no true religion, there is only truth. Christianity, Islam, and Judeism all come from the same source. We are all brothers. The major difference is that Christians believe that Jesus was the promised Messiah spoken about in the Old Testament.

Christians don't considder Jesus to have been a seperate God. We believe He was the embodiment of God Himself in human form. We are monotheist as well. As far as I am concerned we all serve the same God whether you call Him Yahweh, or Allah, or God. He is the only God. We pray to Jesus and use His name interchangably with God's. They are the same person and the distinction is more like a man can be a brother, a son, and a father all at the same time. This is what we call the trinity. He is one God playing three rolls.

I think you should follow the drawing of the spirit. If you are drawn to Christianity, then explore it. If you are drawn to Islam, explore that as well. It never hurts to be educated about something. It will all be revealed in time.

i don´t know, i favour modern Judaism a bit, you could call Islam an antichristian religion, so you might call Judaism, even when the NT teaches universalism in my eyes, i dont want to have a wrong belief and i think the unbelievers will have no part in the ages to come, maybe i´m a kind of arian christ, as the Jehova Witnesses are. its difficult for me.

But what about Old Testament prophecies regarding Christ?    Is Jesus the Christ?  After considering the record of his life in the Gospels I think its pretty clear that Jesus was and is Christ who was suppose to come.   And New Testament Gospel writings are VERY reliable.  I understand that there are a ton of  ancient New Testament manuscripts which are all very very similar proving  them to be an accurate record of the actual writings of the Apostles.  Contrary to an Islamic assertion that our New Testament is corrupt and not the same as the original writings!

Hey sven,

I am 45 years old and have searched for answers all my life. I can tell you, that in the depth of my soul, I know Jesus the Christ, to be the only path to God. Islam and Judiasm, do not accept Jesus as messiah, and therefore they cannot lead to the true living God. Only through Jesus, can you find God. I believe that all men will eventually meet Jesus and worship him as lord, every knee shall bow and confess Jesus as lord.

It took me a long time to understand the truth, but if you continue to ask God for guidance, he will show you the truth, which is only through his Christ. Continue your studies in the scriptures, thats what lead me to Jesus, through the holy spirit.
