Mary K Baxter disturbs me.

And the number of people who believe her sick story...  :sigh:

DeeDee

All I'm ganna say about people that have these "hell revelations" is that they should be made to undergo interrogation and serveral polygraph tests before they allow them to be published and go public. The poor people who they mentally muck up, shame man it is awful.

I agree. Someone on Youtube asked me "so you think she made this stuff up?" and I said "I'm a writer! I make stuff up all the time! It's my living!"  :laughing7:

I'm inclined to believe these folks possibly had a horrible demonic spiritual experience inspired by what they were taught and believed and opened themselves up to. They very well may believe what they are saying.

Doc

Even from a "Near-Death experience" perspective, (those who've studied the phenomenon in enough cases to correlate) her story holds no credibility. Sensationalism at its worst. Visions don't typically 'qualify' as NDE's, but sometimes they do.

Interestingly, most people who have experiences where they've actually physically died and come back to life, come back believing something more or less like UR, regardless of what they believed before.

Btw, a polygraph test would only work if she was truly just making it up. If she actually had a vision (regardless of whether the source was actually demonic) and actually believes it, polygraph wouldn't catch it. Still, that would at least remove the people making up sensational stories.

But I actually did die for 23 minutes and wake up in a land of rainbow colored 3 legged goats offering me platters of cheese, honey, and tall wheat grass drinks.  The sky really was yellow, there really were two red suns, and Elvis Presley was really there singing medlies that he'd put together from combining Westside Story with Barney The Dinosaur's Greatest Hits!  The air outside really did smell like baking cornbread, and there really were seraphim flying in the sky singing "Kumbaya."  I swear on my great great great great great great great grandkid's grave!  I was really there!!!!!!!

:idea2: I could use the money.  But the only channels that would let me on with a story like that would be the History Channel, the Cartoon Network, M-TV, the Discovery Channel, the Food Network, the Comedy Channel (a big maybe), Mad-TV, and Saturday Night Live.

I guess you'll have to settle for YouTube like everyone else.

I personally think Hell is forcing people to watch reruns of "The Teletubbies" and listening to "It's a Small World after All."

How funny you said that because yesterday when I was googling to find the passage where is says something like "cry over birth and rejoice over death" I came upon a statement someone made: "The reason babies cry when they are born is because they know they're being born into a world where Chuck Norris is".

I have no clue....

So are you a fellow vegan?
Since within 6 weeks of having seen UR.  The Lord took me to Hosea 2:18 and to several passages proving that that covenant started this decade.  That's how I bumped into thousands of UR folks in the North Texas area.  I was a special interest group leader for the Vegetarian Society of Dallas and later founded the now defunct North Texas Vegan Society.  Especially with the North Texas Vegan Society we were having meetings with hundreds of folks wherever we had the meetings in Fort Worth, Dallas, Grapevine, Arlington, Denton, HEB, and in other places.  And I said what I wanted about the Hosea 2:18 covenant and UR and there was great interest in it.  Funding issues started to come up and then a fire took out what we were doing at our little office that we had over on the Southside of Fort Worth.  But we were starting to develop a big mailing list.  The website doesn't exist any more, but we were at veganexplosives.net at the time.  Though I haven't sent anything out in about a year, I've still got over 8,000 email addresses specifically related to that former work.

I'll probably send them something by the end of the year.  But I've been so busy with so many other things, including something I'm getting from the Lord on the book of Revelation that I haven't had time to look at those Scriptures afresh.  They come up almost everytime I receive communion, but beyond that I haven't refreshed myself on the subject in quite a while.  One of my hesitancies to send out anything is that the longer that I'm taking to send anything, the greater the likelihood of a bunch of defunct email addresses and having to have those emails come back as undeliverable.  And then by myself, trying to edit out the bad email addresses from my email list.  I genuinely don't know if I can finish everything else I've got to do this year, before the end of the year, and still have time to mess with that.

Now I remember a site where you had a pro-animal thing going. With me it was seeing how in the kingdom there is no death or killing (or pain) and the animals themselves will be at peace with one another. They have no choice at this point in time but since we do and we want to model the kingdom my rationale is why not start now?

martincisneros

I could never see it while my understanding of Christianity was survival of the fittest.  I would repeatedly throw it in the face of my vegetarian mother when I was a kid that if many of the people that I've ever cared about are going to burn forever, then don't talk to me about this!  Thomas Talbott starts one of the chapters of his book, The Inescapable Love of God, with a quote from someone that says something to the effect of when you change things at the top, everything else beneathe has to change as well.

i have read her stuff once, it reminded me at a videogame, "Requiem - Avenging Angel" from about 1999?, hell in this game looked similar like she described it, i absolutely dont believe that stuff like this is thrustworthy. maybe she got it from this game?

QuoteI was just pointing out to DD that even hellfire believers don't believe that book. (I think its the most famous in its kind)

her stuff was posted in a german hell-teaching forum aswell, it troubled even the people there, so the thread was deleted

taste like chicken!!!
Genesis
1-4 God blessed Noah and his sons: He said, "Prosper! Reproduce! Fill the Earth! Every living creature—birds, animals, fish—will fall under your spell and be afraid of you. You're responsible for them. All living creatures are yours for food; just as I gave you the plants, now I give you everything else. Except for meat with its lifeblood still in it—don't eat that.

Acts 10
9-13The next day as the three travelers were approaching the town, Peter went out on the balcony to pray. It was about noon. Peter got hungry and started thinking about lunch. While lunch was being prepared, he fell into a trance. He saw the skies open up. Something that looked like a huge blanket lowered by ropes at its four corners settled on the ground. Every kind of animal and reptile and bird you could think of was on it. Then a voice came: "Go to it, Peter—kill and eat."  14Peter said, "Oh, no, Lord. I've never so much as tasted food that was not kosher."  15The voice came a second time: "If God says it's okay, it's okay."  16This happened three times, and then the blanket was pulled back up into the skies.

As for me and my house . . .WE LIKE MEAT!!

DeeDee
