Me again  :icon_flower:  :bgdance:  :HeartThrob:

I am not sure how much this topic has been discussed before (or if this is maybe the first time) but I would love to hear from all of you that feel the Devine H.S inside of you.

My question mainly is what it feels like and how you know/knew when you have received it.

As most of you know I am quite sure that I have hurt the devine member of trinity recently (as in my past  :sigh:) and I really want to know (as I am sure countless others would) when (or if) I receive 'The Power', what it feels like.

Let me also just add that I realise it is not something that is necessarily felt so i am not meaning to offend anyone or imply that if you dont feel anything that you dont have it.

I'm interested in the answers too!

But you where careles and used the word trinity. So that's what the fight topic will be about  :laughing7:
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

AJ

I agree - we shouldn't use the word 'trinity' .

My Glorious encounter with the Almighty One.
-----------------------------------------------
It was in the summer of '62', when I went forward at the end of a church service, as I
had 100's of times before.
I wasn't expecting anything great to happen, as it was just more out of habit to go
forward I guess.
But my, God opened the windows of heaven that night as never before or since.

I must of laid there on the floor for hours, soaking in His presence....
Speaking in an unknown tongue - just as happened at Act 2.
At first it seemed strange hearing myself speak something I totally couldn't understand.

I also felt so CLEAN and PURE, so totally unexplainable. Mere human words simply cannot
convey the feelings of warmth and acceptance in my entire being.

When I got up, the church was almost empty.
As I walk out I felt as if I wasn't even in my body, It seemed as if I was floating.
I knew my feet were on the ground and I could see I was walking, but it was as if
I couldn't feel myself walking, it was utterly glorious....

Even the talk that was going on around me seemed so unimportant and meaningless.

So.....if anyone doesn't understand, you'd have to experience it to know what I mean.
All I wanted to do was worship Jesus!!

The next morning, I had to go to work. As I walked out to the truck, I was shocked at what I saw.
The sky was bluer than I than I had ever seen it, the trees and the grass was a most
beautiful green.

Everything was different. It was as though I was looking at God's creation with totally different eyes.
It was as if I was viewing everything through pure pristine eyes.
I believe my mind was somehow in a state of utter purity.

I went to work, I was operating a small caterpillar and the track came off.
When the person in charge came over, as he looked at it, he began a long string of curses and swearing.

Those curse words of his penetrated me like poisonous arrows.
I had to turn away from him
and walk away. His words were so filthy and unclean to me, the only way I can explain is,
it was as if each word of his, was that he was throwing stinky manure all over me.

I clearly remember that while he was cursing, in my mind I was
screaming STOP! STOP! STOP!

Sadly, the glory fades away over time.

Oh how I yearn for that again..…. I know it'll happen when I see Him face to face and
I am so thankful that He had showed me just a tiny bit of His glory.

Allen.

Sorz guys - lets call it the "spiritual awakening" then.  :girlheart:

Dee Dee -  I should have replied about your concern from your first post.

Please don't be too concerned about hurting the Almighty One.
He can handle it.
He made us weak, frail and stubborn and He fully understands our carnal sin nature.  Besides, He's actually responsible for that too.

May I encourage you to continually seek His face - about receiving the baptism of the holy spirit.
Personally, it's the neatest and most awesome thing that I experience throughout the day.

The following is another example.

The voice said, "That Hour was not a waste".......
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had a fascinating encounter with the Holy Ghost on Saturday night, March 17, 2001.
My wife had called a local restaurant and placed an order of hamburgers to go, in which
I planned on running over to pick up.

When I went in to pick up the order, I mentioned to the waitress my name and that there
should be an order 'to go' for me. It was St. Patricks Day, and she was quite busy,
so she said she'd look for it.

While I was waiting, I was quietly singing and praying in the Spirit to myself.
There was also much activity going on between the restaurant and the bar,
so I was also watching many patrons shouting and dancing about.

After about 15 minutes, I got the attention of the waitress, and again mentioned
the order to go for me.
She assured me she'd look for it and left again.
Then after a half hour the same thing happen, and the waitress promised me
she would look for it.

I continued to observe the people, watching all the activity, all the yelling going on from those
watching the big screen T.V. in the bar.
During this whole time I was continually singing and praying in the Spirit.
I wasn't thinking about anything particularly spiritual, but was just happy in the Lord.

Then after 50 minutes of waiting, I finally got the attention of the waitress again.
The look she gave me, she realized she was in big trouble for leaving me there so long.

I saw that she hurried back to talk to the cook. I decided to follow her.
As I came near them, both the waitress and the cook and I made eye contact.
The cook quickly said that my order had somehow been lost, but now they had it and he
was starting the order right away. I said O.K. and went back to the lobby to wait again.

While I was in the lobby I noticed how strange it was that I wasn't irritated at all.
So I continued to pray and sing in the Spirit and watch all the activity going on.

Finally after an hour, I received my order, paid for it, thanked her and went out to the car.
As I got in the car I spoke out loud to myself about "what a wasted hour that I just had."

I no sooner than got those words out of my mouth, when I experienced something rush
through me, from my right side of me to the left. This startled me as I sat in my car.
It didn't feel like a wind, but something definitely went completely through me.
Immediately after experiencing that, I heard through my spirit some words of admonition.

What I heard was loud, clear and distinct, I heard, "THAT HOUR WAS NOT A WASTE."

WOW, a double whammy;
First - the feeling of something rushing through me,
then - a message that totally contradicted how I was looking at the previous hour.

I sat there a few moments trying to sort this all out.

I quickly came to realize, that my thinking on that previous hour was infinitely different than the way God viewed it.
I viewed that hour as a waste of time, but the Spirit was able to do things that I was totally ignorant about.

This experience has taught me an invaluable lesson about praying and singing in the Spirit (an unknown tongue) and with the understanding, and do this without ceasing as the Scriptures instruct us to.

Sarah

Thank you for sharing that Allen. Very encouraging and full of light!

Dee Dee, I encourage you to read the 'unpardonable sin' thread. Ask God to reveal to you the likelihood that you could commit a sin that could never be forgiven. He may have a sense of humor in his explaining it to you.

How likely is it that cows will spout wings and fly over the moon?
