I told a YouTuber who made a video about the lake of Fire that he was taking verses out of context, and ever since he's been messaging me and I've been presenting the UR argument to him. Anyway, do you think this was a good response?

So are you saying that Christ died for the devil and his angels?

The devil and his angels don't need to be saved from anything. They're not in any danger.

The larger problem is if it is a bad responce and you have already presented it in your argument with this person, now what?


My advise,   look at why you want to challenge this person in the first place and make sure you know what you believe so that  the hope within you can be made manifest. 

I don't mean that to sound cold or harsh,  its just often we want to prove someone wrong and hell believers are not any less intelligent.  If someone like that is very skilled at biblical interpretation using the typical methods taught in Christianity they will eat your lunch if you do not both believe what your presenting and are solid in how you yourself have come to that conclusion.

I have studied 5 years since I started being able to gain information and perspective of the UR viewpoint and I pick my battles very carefully even still.   Not because I want to pick and choose who I might win with,  I really just want to share that Love and hope I have come to know.   So the battles I pick are never really meant to prove anyone wrong, it is to challenge their viewpoint with hope and the presentation of logic behind an all powerful Father who loves us more than we can imagine.

I would have told him that Colossians says this:

Col 1:20 and through Him to reconcile all to Him (making peace through the blood of His cross), through Him, whether those on the earth or those in the heavens."

Through the blood of Christ's cross all in the heavens and all on the earth are to be reconciled to God. That means that every being at enmity to God will be reconciled to Him. Satan and his minions are presently at enmity to God.

I would also tell him if he makes "all" to be less then absolute "all" in verse 20 then he will have to say the "all" of verse 16 do not mean "all" as well.

Satan needs reconciled. Satan will be. I would tell him that.
