hey BT

depends what we believe the DEVIL and his messangers are?

For mine <the DEVIL means adversary....and the messengers of it.

I see it all tied to our Flesh...,our mind set....so thats what sybolically perishes...

What do you think about this verse?

[23:02:02] ... 41 Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

Let's not focus on the word "eternal" and focus on the preparation for the Devil...

Will the Devil be saved?
Will people who will go into that fire be saved?

SORRY bt...i MODIFIED YOUR POST by error...., thinking I was quoting it.

However, I didn't understand your idea. What if the Devil is a physical being and he won't be saved? Does that mean that people will suffer eternally?

thats my point..depends on what we perceive the Devil to be?

some think He iS an entity, and he too will be purifed...but irrespective.. it will ONLY be for an age....

plenty of thread on tent which discuss aion just hang around some

I don't know, really. I know there's a movie by sozo2 on Youtube, he claims that Lucifer is a hoax. Hardcore fundamentalists think that the Devil is a physical being, an entity, as you say... Origen believed in this. Am I right?

I believe that the New Testament says more about this than most people realize.  It says that Jesus has been made the head of all principality and power.  So, no eternal duality between angels of light and angels of darkness.  We're advised to be careful in our treatment of strangers because some have unwittingly entertained (i.e. ministered to) angels.  The angels of God, according to Jesus, ever behold the Face of the Father.  That's where they get their wisdom.  Yet, there's some principalities and powers in the heavenlies that we're assured are learning lessons from the Church in Ephesians 3.  Colossians 1:15-20 says that He's made peace and reconciliation by the Blood of His Cross for even principalities and powers in the heavenlies.  Matthew 25's judgment is the equivalent of the 1Corinthians 5 fire, the Lake of Fire, and the Tartarus judgment of Peter's epistle because it's a judgment of works.  And Matthew 25 indicates that man and angels are judged together.  So, that answers the question for those thinking that the Book of Revelation is very silent about demons going into the Lake of Fire if there be such creatures.  To me, the Bible's been indicating recently that if the serpent in the garden was Satan, or whatever, then it fell at the same time as man did and there wasn't this pre-fall world where another fall took place as in the Milton epic.  "As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive."
