Gen 1:3 "Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light day, and the darkness He called night

1 John 1:5 "This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 7but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin."

Gen 3:8They heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.

Acts 2:25 "For David says of Him, 'I SAW THE LORD ALWAYS IN MY PRESENCE; FOR HE IS AT MY RIGHT HAND, SO THAT I WILL NOT BE SHAKEN. 26'THEREFORE MY HEART WAS GLAD AND MY TONGUE EXULTED; MOREOVER MY FLESH ALSO WILL LIVE IN HOPE; 27BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT ABANDON MY SOUL TO HADES, NOR ALLOW YOUR HOLY ONE TO UNDERGO DECAY. 28'YOU HAVE MADE KNOWN TO ME THE WAYS OF LIFE; YOU WILL MAKE ME FULL OF GLADNESS WITH YOUR PRESENCE.'

Colossians 1:12 "giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light. 13 For He rescued us from the authority of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,"

Revelation 21:23 "And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.
24 The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it. 25In the daytime (for there will be no night there) its gates will never be closed;"

Darkness is referring to man being separated from the presence of God, being blinded from truth and lost, without the ability to regain their position...even though man tries.

The Light refers to many aspects of God, even God Himself. All draw a picture for us to understand His goodness, His character and the way He moves concerning His beloved children.

Man hid from the presence of the Lord, being lost God put into action a promise that would ultimately see man restored, brought back into His presence and once again fellowship with Him.

Hi Dallas

The Light refers to many aspects of God, even God Himself. All draw a picture for us to understand His goodness, His character and the way He moves concerning His beloved children.

mm, Christ is the LIGHT of the world, and according to scripture making the body WHOLE is being Full of LIGHT.

This entwines very much to what Whillie H mentions in the 1000yr thrread.

Mat 6:22 ¶ The light of the "body" is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single ( WHOLE), thy whole body shall be" full of light."

Mat 6:23  But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great [is] that darkness!

Mat 6:24 ¶ No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon( riches).
Christ is the LIght OF THE world.
Christ is always the context for mine of the scripture we read.
To SEE MEANS to UNDERSTAND
er 5:21 Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not D.
WHEN WE READ THIS...., is it when men make creeds and doctrines and others do not agree , ?
Luk 10:23 And he turned him unto [his] disciples, and said privately, Blessed [are] the eyes which see the things that ye see:
or it Not being able to Understand That its Christ who is being taked about.
Isa 35:4  Say to them [that are] of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come [with] vengeance, [even] God [with] a recompence; he will come and save you.

Isa 35:5  Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

Isa 35:6  Then shall the lame [man] leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
Mat 6:22 ¶ The light of the "body" is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single ( WHOLE), thy whole body shall be" full of light."
Understanding that the LIGHT of the eye which makes the BODY WHOLE, is again Knowing WHO HE IS.., THE LIGHT OF KNOWLEDGE
we are GIVEN MANY NEW PARTS in the NEW C..more than a NEW HEART and MIND...EYES , EARS, MOUTHS , ETC...

Reminds me of a story in which a civilization was born in darkness, they learned to navigate by sound and by touch. One day something happens in which nobody has ever experienced, they all see a single star in the sky above them. It is so wonderful this little speck of light, that people continue to look up not realizing that what they are doing is seeing for the first time, even though all they can see is this speck of light. Everyone is drawn to the light, and in time they begin to build towards the light. The closer they get to the light, the more they see... ...including shadows.   Of course, never knowing what a shadow was, they invent ideas about shadows, and what they are and where they came from. The closer they get to the light, the less and less powerful the shadow is until they realize that a shadow is just what happens when light is obstructed and not more. As they get closer and closer they finally arrive to the source of the light, a cave with light entering.

This is when we find out that they were a group of people who lived in a caved in cave system closed off from the surface living off moss, insects and animals and drinking underground stream water for generations. They were built to recognize the light, but did not know what it was, and when the light appears everyone was drawn to it and the light revealed everything to them, setting them free.

Hey Craig,

I really liked the parallels, it was very interesting.
