I came to this forum to learn more about the concept of UR. But since I have my life has become much more confusing. I mean im 14 and im putting all this on my shoulders. Ive read many topics but many things I read seem to become so confusing to me that I leave the topic with even more questions than I had before...

This forum litterally is like a battlezone. A war. And hearing both sides just gets me caught in the gunfire, so to say. I leave confused, and my studies on UR advance no further than they were before... Its actually confusing me so much im starting to think, "If Hell is fake, what if theres no Heaven or God either..." Im looking for proof for Heaven or God the same way I found proof for no Hell. I dont know if there is any though...

So, atleast for now, im going to become less active on the major UR topics and focus my studies on pages that tell me straight up what I want to know, without all the argument and anger. Dont get me wrong, im not leaving... I may just be less active on topics that either arent mine or engage in a major "battle of religion."

And in time I will begin engaging in these topics once more once I have studied more, both on the concept of UR and the scriptures. Youll still see me around and ill talk in PMs if you like but I wont be as active... keep me in your prayers, I hope to be a valuable member to the UR community soon.

God Bless ~ Arthur

The best thing I learned from this forum, is that it is a forum where people discuss their thoughts, and it is not surprising you will not learn anything from that. It is my opinion and recommendation that you read websites by those who believe in universal reconciliation and be a student of the word to check and balance what they say with personal study.

So do not be distressed, God is not one of confusion, so when you pray and ask for revelation, remember He will give it to you. If you ask for bread, He will not give you a scorpion.

I know this is not a detailed answer, and I can go into large teachings of where and why things are the way they are; but, it might just put you into more confusion since others will come and tell you something seemingly opposite and show you how where and why things are the way they are. So, I am not asking you to lean on your own understanding, just remember that forums are good places to discuss your thoughts and get perspectives on what you studied and then take that back to your personal study to find out if it is true or another view which may have been missed. Slowly but surely, it will begin to cement in your mind the right paths that God is guiding you in.

Take care friend, and I know how it feels to be young and studious on the Word, I have known the Lord since 4 years of age and I too have studied all my life to know the Truth of God and His creation.

God bless,
Craig

Hi Angel,

Just thank God that at the age of 14 God has given you a desire to know him, he has called you out. Most people your age are in to all sorts of other things. It is a blessing to meet someone as young as you that has a desire to understand the truth. Just remember, this desire and everything else comes from God.

Thank you, and of course it does.  Ive felt like ive been called out for a while now and I have been trying to discover the plan God has for my life... and it somewhere along the lines lead me here, to Universalism.

I echo what Craig stated and esp. the part of God is not the author of confusion.  I will add to that the yoke of Jesus is easy and light and NOT burdensome.

Mainstream does NOT have answers to all your questions as 99% of their beliefs are encapsulated in an article of faith and at best is a cherry picked statement based upon and relies heavily on the fact that many folk do not bother to study the bible or press in to discover the REAL truth.  If you approached 10 people from a church and quizzed them on the AoF or SoF, you will likely get a 100% hit rate of "I really don't know" when you offer contradictions to the said AoF.

I was reading my old church's one a few days ago and it is self contradictory yet folk sign off on it w/o really understanding what it really means.  I guess the old adage of "listen and learn from the pastor" carries a lot of weight with many folk and contradicts Jesus' own words where He stated there is but one Teacher, the HS.

Blessings

as an "old hand" who has gone through the whole cycle, the only real thing I can say to you is to discover your God given talents...and use them to serve yourself, your family and your fellow man...

heaven and hell...or not...afterlife and all that stuff is all mythology...for no-one realy knows...we are ALL just guessing...

if you bear good fruits on earth...you would be fulfilling your destiny

my 1 cent anyway

Rather than participate in discussions or even observe them, maybe you would better serve your desire to know UR, by reading of the many writings available on the subject.

There are many sites which have info concerning UR... and Tentmaker is certainly of the best... Read some of the articles contain here, they will surely help you:

Hello AoT.  First of all, we care about you, and God cares about you and loves you sooo much more than we ever could.

You said "Its actually confusing me so much im starting to think, "If Hell is fake, what if theres no Heaven or God either..." Im looking for proof for Heaven or God the same way I found proof for no Hell."  Let me say this to you, simply...the truth about hell is found IN SCRIPTURE (when it's accurately translated, properly understood, and Spirit revealed)

....just the same way, the truth about God and His Son and our Savior, Jesus, is found IN SCRIPTURE...it's right there, in God's words, both of them....Yes, there are translational issues that God is bringing to light and showing us more clearly what He has to say, but trust God's Word(s)...He has His hand on His words to us and the Truth is there...there are many proofs of scripture's authenticity, but just believe that God inspired His words to us, has protected the truths that He wants us to know, when He wants us to know it, and as Psalm 119:89 says, his logos is forever settled to the ages.

God's hand is on you.  Relax, enjoy His presence, bask in His grace that will keep you...rejoice that everything you can't handle, He can and will.  God's blessing, James.
