IN HIM I LIVE, MOVE, EXIST...WHAT DOES THAT MEAN 2U?

Especially since God has shown me UR, this scripture has become life to me.  For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own have said, For we are also his offspring. Acts 17:28..  For years I've stressed grace, and believed it; however, at the same time, struggling to "live up to the calling".  I still do that, not yet having fully learned to totally exist in Him..."looking to Him, the author and finisher of my salvation".  However, more and more since UR He has brought it alive and functional within me that to forgive, pray, worship, any of those things He asks of me is only accomplished through His power and ability as I just look to Him and "allow" it to happen through and in me.  Sometimes I don't even feel I can pray or confess a sin without His just doing it through me/for me...realizing more and more I can accomplish nothing within myself.  I've read Martin Zender and others state that even the ability to believe on Him is a gift from God...not "just" the grace we're trusting in being from Him, but even that ability to trust in the first place is from Him.

Anyway, this verse really means a lot to me emotionally, spiritually, and just in my everyday walk with the Lord.  What does it mean to you?  How does it come alive in your life?  Has there been a change in this scripture's life in you since beginning your walk in Him in the revelation of UR?   God's blessing, James.

Hi James!

I love the verse you mentioned. To me, it indicates that Christians don't have the ownership rights on God. That is, Jesus is truly God and Lord of all.
The worst thing is when He does not reveal Himself to someone (as has been the case with most of the nation of Israel). Just look at the violence they have been suffering and causing since they told Pilate: "Let His (Jesus') blood be upon us, and upon our children."

Our God is the Prince of Peace and the King of it, too. Without Him, we truly are in the dark.
But knowing Him is knowing peace. Like you said, He even gives us our faith and good works to do for Him! Hallelujah!
(And when we suffer, we just give the glory to Him and continue focusing on Him. He will not let us be ashamed.)

This verse literally means, that ALL THINGS are INSIDE of GOD... NOTHING is outside Him... ALL things GOOD or EVIL...

Hard thing for Orthodoxy to swallow... for they percieve that HOLINESS cannot even abide the presence of EVIL... and that it IS outside of GOD...

That ALL is INSIDE of Him, to me means that He PURPOSES ALL THINGS to glorify Him by their presence and occurence, to include EVIL... for EVIL is that which IDENTIFIES GOOD for what it actually IS...

This verse is part of the chapter for which my wife and I named our musical  outreach... We call it the "MARS HILL Project"... (Acts 17:22 / KJV)  PAUL was on the Mars Hill preaching CHRIST to men which percieved GOD unreachable, and far off... and in this speech to them, he noted the above verse you note...
