So happy to find this site, and it is my first introduction to these ideas...my early Christian experiences seem to parallel in many ways the early experiences of Mr. Amirault...right now I am just reading and reading while I care for my dying mother...

:sigh: Blessings to you in this difficult part of your walk. I walked thru the same thing, taking my mother into my home the last 2 years of her life. I hope you have others that can help you some, because the weight of all of it, is just too much. May you be blessed in your time here, and may the Lord strengthen you. Don't be afraid to ask for prayer. There are many here that are prayer warriors.  :HeartThrob:

Hi Debbie

:welcome: to the forum.  I feel for U but what else can loving children do?

Buried my dad 2 years ago after a thankfully short Alzheimer's spell.  My mom is 84 but still very active.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, it makes me smile!!

These teachings are a phase in the healing that our merciful, loving Father has begun in me.  What a miracle, and "just in time"...I can't believe that other people have been in the same despair/mental illness rut I was in for yrs. after exposure to many denominational wanderings...Where WERE the Universalists for 12 years??

The Almighty God is upholding me in these last few days of my mom's life...and helping me to not feel guilty for my failed attempts for years to "get her" to want Jesus Christ as her Savior and God as a close companion...

Hi Debbie,
Rest assured, God created and loves your Mom as much as He does everyone else. Most don't 'get it' in this lifetime. That is by design and not something to be fretted over.

QuoteWhere WERE the Universalists for 12 years??

Well, many of us were in "churches" until God revealed his all encompassing love for all mankind. The thing about universalism is that the majority of us started in mainline religious institutions. Then, when we just couldn't stay there anymore we left. Most of us leave alone because others don't believe in UR or they are too tied to all the trappings of religion. There aren't that many of us, although we are growing. You won't find most of us in the yellow pages or the church section of your local newspaper. I hope you find fellowship here with like minded people.
