The truth is pretty glorious.
We were created for great things to come: part of that preparation requires experience so as to learn what to truly value, and how to respect/love each other fully.
The Jews and the gentiles are currently in disagreement.
Jesus broke down the wall that divides us so that we will work together for the voming ages.
The flesh- mankind does not grasp this because they would then diminish the sacrifice ofChrist, trying to take credit for His work.
The spirit knows that truth which sets us free for the role we have in our new state of being.

Preaching to the choir I know but:-

It appears such a failure to hang upon a cross and do nothing (despite The power of God). 
Why didn't He fight? 
He was: 'fighting' - just in a different way the world(ly) expected.  Indeed, furthermore:- The Messiah came and went without many realizing! 
The world still does not know Him nor see Him.  But we see Him!
He overcame evil, - The Blameless; dieing for the sins of the world - forgiving... Destroying evil.  Evil could not hold Him in it's power.  Death could not hold Him in it's power and death IS indeed evil, - the last enemy of God to be destroyed!

Oh the blessed hope indeed!  Not life nor death - NOTHING can separate us from His love!
