Hi. I was just shopping for some clothes with my family. At the store in the mall, I noticed a shirt with a Bible verse on it that reminded me of Universal Reconciliation. It was a white shirt with a pink butterfly in the middle and black text surrounding it with the verse

QuotePsalm 17:8 Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings

It shows how God is watching over every one of us and is willing to protect us all. If He loves us that much, then He will make sure all of us are saved through Jesus Christ.

Almost out of fate, as soon as I typed that verse down on my phone, I saw another Bible verse on clothing. It was a black shirt with white text in a cursive font with the following verse

QuotePsalm 106:3 Blessed are those who act justly, who always do what is right.
If those who act justly are blessed, imagine how much more blessed The Lord is, who acts justly in all things. Considering this, I believe God should have what God desires, that's what a blessing entails after all. And God's desire is to have everyone saved. Even though all of humanity are sinners, we have not done right under the Lord, the Lord himself has done right, He acts justly, and therefore deserves to bless himself so that his desire, to have everyone saved, is fulfilled.

Maybe I should change the title of this thread, since this post is not related to Clothing Stores, though it is a verse that has appeared in my daily life. I posted this on the Christian Forums, but I think it's good to show here too:

Hello everyone. Here?s an experience I had just today that I will share. I was on the transit bus today and I overhead a man reciting a Bible verse to another man from the back. The verse described how the Lord helped His people escape from their slavery in Egypt. He went on to describe the life of Jesus afterwards. He was talking loud enough that everyone on the back section of the bus could hear him. I believe he was reading something, as he kept going without stopping.

From a Universalistic perspective, the whole world is in slavery due to sin. And the whole world is the people of the Lord, as we are all created from Him. Therefore, everyone will be saved.

John 6:37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.
Isaiah 19:21-22 And the Lord will make himself known to the Egyptians, and the Egyptians will know the Lord in that day and worship with sacrifice and offering, and they will make vows to the Lord and perform them. And the Lord will strike Egypt, striking and healing, and they will return to the Lord, and he will listen to their pleas for mercy and heal them.

The Egyptians who had enslaved the Israelites and the Israelites enslaved by the Egyptians, all will be saved. God has promised to save everyone, He will never cast us out.

While I don?t know if that man was a Universalist or not, he was at least reciting the truth. And the verses he was reciting were talking about the love God has for all creation, taken straight from the Bible itself. So there?s nothing I could object to at that moment. Which is why I have featured that person in my post today, even when they?re a complete stranger to me.

Thank you for your reply Marie Glen! I think the verse you're thinking of us Romans 3:4, "Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written: ?So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.?

Which personally reminds me of these verses:

Numbers 23:19 God is not man, that He should lie, or a son of man, that He should change His mind. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not fulfill it?

Titus 1:2 ESV In hope of eternal life, which God, who never lies, promised before the ages began

Titus specifically gives me comfort in Universalism, as it shows that, even though there was a time where I was not aware of Universal Reconciliation, God's plan to save everyone was still true, and it always has been His truthful promise since the beginning! So, there was always that guarantee of Universal Salvation.

As well, I've renamed this thread to "Universalism in our Daily Lives" as a place to post about any sort of thing that general thing that anyone happens to come across just living day-to-day. A sort of grab bag topic.

One such example is something that just happened today. Recently, my family members have been getting a lot more spam calls from unknown callers like +1 (866) and other international numbers. The scammers aren?t that smart though, since most of the voicemails they leave are in Chinese, so I have no clue what they?re saying.  :dontknow:

One of my family members, a male, has been getting a bit frustrated over all these calls filling up his voicemail. He?s a Christian saved by Jesus Christ through faith alone, but still believes in ECT, so he?ll oftentimes say, quote, ?Gee you really hope that whoever sends these scam calls burns in Hell? with a bit of a vengeful tone and variations of that throughout the years.

I disagree with ?hoping? someone goes through ECT. While I agree with him that scammers are evil, at the same time, we?re all sinners. And God loves us all, even despite our evil.  :HeartThrob:

QuoteRomans 5:8 But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

I also think it?s the wrong idea to ?hope? that someone suffers in general. Our hope should be to try to reduce suffering as much as possible. It?s why I believe it?s important to not only tell someone the salvation gift of Jesus Christ, but also Universalism, because it helps eliminates any worry and anxiety for those who become saved afterwards. God?s ?hope? is the salvation of everyone. That is His plan that He set out since the beginning of Earth, like the Titus verse mentioned above, which gives me personally great comfort.

QuoteEphesians 1:10 As a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Him, things in heaven and things on earth.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your anxieties on him, because He cares for you.

In essence, I don?t understand the idea of ?hoping? someone goes through ECT. Even before when I used to believe in ECT, my hope was for God to save as much people as He can, which is why I would go evangelize and soulwin people, to tell them of the truth of the free gift of salvation that Jesus Christ offers them, because I was very afraid and anxious of people suffering through ECT. That might be part of the reason why the Lord revealed to me Christian Universalism, as I was trying to convert people at the detriment of my mental health and wellbeing. As well now, I feel I can tell people the complete truth. Which is why I?m incredibly grateful to God for showing me this truth and relieving my mind. Specifically, a lot of that gratefulness comes from this site, Tentmaker, in particular, where I first learned about Universal Reconciliation. It's a big part of my inspiration to make my own account on here and discuss with you all! So, thank you!  :friendstu:

In the past, before learning about Universal Reconciliation, people saying phrases that promote ECT would bring me intense anxiety, but now, I can trust fully in what the Lord?s plan was all along, to save everyone.

QuoteColossians 1:19-20: Through Christ "God was pleased ... to reconcile to Himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of His cross."

@Darryl I agree. It is God's hope that everyone will go to Heaven, and His Hope is always accomplished, thus it is true.

I've had another experience that reminder me of Universal Reconciliation, this time at the local library. My family members and I went to visit there today, this Saturday. Despite it being the weekend, it was mostly empty, except for a few other people at tables reading. We went up to the third floor and were going through a proper maze of bookshelves when, while walking by, I noticed a book which mentioned the grace of God. ?What a truthful phrase?, I thought to myself, and it is true.

Quote2 John 1:3 Grace, mercy and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

Ephesians 4:7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ?s gift

Many people have different definitions of grace, but what I define it as is ?the willingness to grant favors?. Despite all of us being sinners, God has granted us the opportunity to go back into His favour by believing with faith alone in His Son, Jesus Christ, who?s holy blood from the cross acts as cover for all of our sins.

Someone may give you a favor by helping clean out the garage in the summer, as some of my family helped me with. But no favor compares to this ultimate favor given by God!

QuotePsalms 5:12 Surely, LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

Psalms 30:5 For His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.

I noticed that book out of all the rest because the phrase mentioning ?the grace of God? happens to appear in one particular Bible verse that I like a lot.

QuoteTitus 2:11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,

So I was driving back after getting some groceries this afternoon when I noticed a sign on the side of the road which mentioned the faithfulness of God, which is true. I didn?t have time to read all of it, as I was mostly focused on paying attention to the road, but I did indeed notice it out of the corner of my eye.

(Of course, it's important to stay safe when driving, so don't try to read everything you see on the road!  )

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

The ending of this verse mentions how the Lord will provide a ?way out?. All of us fall into temptation, we are all sinners after all. Therefore, God will provide a way out for all of us. That is, universal salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ.

There was an elderly gentleman on the public transit today at the front of the bus. I noticed him speaking to himself out loud, saying something along the lines of Death death is not something to be afraid of Judgment Day Judgment Day. He had a long white beard, bigger than my hand and had light brown hair that was slowly greying. There wasnt anyone in particular he was talking to, so he must have been just thinking aloud.

First, I will address the part he mentioned about death. Death, or any sort of concept, is not something to fear. In fact, there is no need to even be in a state of fear when your faith is in the Lord.

QuoteQuote
Psalm 56:11
In God I have put my trust, I shall not be afraid.
What can man do to me
After all, it was through Jesus Christs death and resurrection that paid the wages of sin for all of humanity and that allows us all to be saved. Everyone will come to believe that truth, that Jesus Christ died for the sins of the whole world, so theres no need for anyone to be afraid when God is right there waiting for them with open arms to accept Him so He can give them comfort.

Quote
Psalm 27:1
A Psalm of David.
The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear
The Lord is the defense of my life;
Whom shall I dread
In terms of judgement specifically, mercy triumps over judgement. The Lords ultimate plan is to save everyone and His grace, His promise to bring everyone to Heaven through Jesus Christ, surpassess all judgement.

QuoteQuote
James 2:13 "Mercy triumphs over judgment"

Ive noticed some people think of Judgement Day with unnecessary worrying and anxiety. But, knowing Gods guarantee, that we will all be saved, wipes away all of those fears.

An excellent resource on Judgement Day is the following book from the Tentmaker site:
https://www.tentmaker.org/books/Judgment-Eby.html

Here is a segment I took from the book that captures the essense of Judgement Day very well in a Universal Reconciliation sense:
Quote
Quote

Through the cunning of the adversary, both the world and the popular church have been robbed of the blessed assurances of the time when God's RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENTS break forth in the earth. Most people know that the Bible tells of a "judgment day," but the average person, believer or unbeliever, regards it only with a certain sense of fear and dread. Because of this fear there is, to them, no more unwelcome tidings than that the Lord is coming to JUDGE THE EARTH. Many tremble inwardly at the thought of God's judgments, and in this mind put them far from them, preferring not to even hear the subject mentioned. They have absolutely no idea of the wonderful blessings in store for a sin-weary world under the glorious reign of the sons of God filled with all the nature, wisdom, glory and power of God!

Now we must examine this word 'judgment,' the Greek word, as used in the New Testament, is KRISIS, and with the letter 'K' changed to the letter 'C' it is brought directly over into our English language as CRISIS. All of the pressures and trials which produce these times of 'crisis' in our life are simply a working out of God's corrective measures, His judgments. The root from which KRISIS comes is KRINEIN meaning, 'to separate.' And so it is, a crisis is a critical period of time, a decisive moment, a turning point; hence, a separating, choosing, deciding, judging. The very purpose of judgment is to separate you from the old, that you might come into the new. To separate you from selfhood's rebellion, giving you a TURNING POINT, and heading you in the right direction, in the will of God.
Thanks to J. Preston Eby and Ray Prinzing for those wonderful writings. Its an excellent read and I highly recommend it to any Universalist curious about Judgement Day.

This Turning Point to salvation is faith alone in Jesus Christ. Once someone is saved, they are always saved. Everyone will believe in the truth, that Jesus Christ died for everyones sins, and they will all believe it, that is guaranteed.

Thus, I will draw attention to a Bible verse the authors mentioned in particular.
Quote
Quote
I Chron. 16:31-34
"Let the heavens be glad And let the earth rejoice; And let men say among the nations, the Lord reigneth! Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof; Let the fields rejoice, and all that are therein.

Then shall the trees of the wood (people of the earth) sing aloud at the presence of the Lord

Because He cometh to judge the Earth. O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good; For His mercy endureth forever!"

Some people look at Judgement Day with anxiety and worrying. But the truth is that Judgement Day represents a turning point in humanity. A day which represents Christ Jesus promise of universal salvation becoming fufilled.

Its unfortunate that so many of Gods blessings are perceived as negative by the general populace, when they really are wonderful! I hope, by writing this, there may be some people that come to realize the glory of God and the goodness that comes from Him and all His ways.

EDIT: Some of the possessive marks are showing up as question marks since I type these on Microsoft Word first before posting here (as sometimes the page can refresh and I lose all my typing work). So, I've edited this and pasted it into Microsoft Word, did Ctrl+H and removed all the questions marks, thus replacing them with nothing. So hopefully that clears things up!

I will praise the name of God with song Psalm 69:30

Song

Hi everyone. To preface, I am a Christian Universalist. Faith alone in Jesus Christ only saves you. God will save everyone; all people will go to Heaven.

1 John 2:2: "He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world."

Background Information
I was talking to a family member in the conversation below. They have seen Christianity before, but unfortunately only through the perspective of an extreme fundamentalist, another family member of mine, who would talk about and believes in ECT. She?s the type that?s turned away from even the mention of specific Bible verses, so I had to still reference them, but phrase them in my own way of speaking. I had tried to mention specific Bible verses to her, but she had doubts about it, so I had to take a different approach with this evangelism. (By the way, any Bible verses I do mention were not said in the conversation, but I added to this post as support for what I said to her).

Isaiah 44:6 Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: ?I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god.

Absurdism
So, I was talking to her while sharing a meal and she mentioned that she recently read a book titled ?The Outsider? by French Author Albert Camus that she was recommended by someone else. I didn?t recognize the book. However, she said that the author believed that everything in life was absurd and I instantly recognized the concept as Absurdism. Absurdism is wrong. Jesus Christ is the truth of this world, and He will save everyone through faith alone in Him!

1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,

Nihilism
I know it because I studied it long ago alongside Nihilism by Friedrich Nietzsche with his ?bermensch concept, which I mentioned in the conversation. Nihilism is wrong, which I explained with the reasoning along the lines of ?If you believe everything is meaningless, then why do good, since that too would be meaningless? Why did Nietzsche create the concept of the ?bermensch, the idea that humans should follow a subjective concept of good he made, if good shouldn?t exist be his logic? It completely contradicts itself. That is why I don?t believe in Nihilism?.

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.

Religious
She replied saying that she at least believes that there should be some religion that humans follow. This was a good start. I had stopped the belief of absurdism from spreading at least. She then said that ?People tend to believe in religion when they are struggling. There were many poor people in the past who would believe in an afterlife as relief from their suffering?. I agree with this from a Christian perspective, in the sense that, oftentimes it?s during intense periods of pain that people start to turn to God. That suffering is unfortunate, as I do not wish for people to go through unnecessary pain. I said ?If people are suffering and the belief of religion makes them good, then that is good.? She agreed with this. This helped pave the way that at least the concept of religion is good. I would need to take further steps to bring her to Christ.

Psalms 107:1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

Hinduism
I then had to mention her about the negatives of karma from the Hinduism belief to disprove it. ?The problem with karma is it says that bad things happen to bad people because they deserve it.? I talked about some people who were Hindu who would withhold treatment from people who were suffering because they believed that they deserved that suffering for some evil in their past life. ?I don?t care if that person was Gandhi or Hitler in their past life, if they?re suffering, I?m going to help them? I later said. Fortunately, she agreed with that statement, which is good since Hinduism is a false belief, it?s wrong.

Hebrew 9:27 Just as people are destined to die once

Catholicism
She talked about liking the Catholic Pope more than other Popes, calling him ?cooler?. I replied ?Yes, I?ve heard him mention that even those who are not Catholic can still be saved? and she said ?Yeah, that?s really good?. I addressed this to try and lead the conversation towards faith alone salvation. I don?t want her to think that you need specific work requirements, like the Catholic sacraments of baptism or doing good works to be saved. You can only be saved by faith alone in Jesus Christ. Some Catholics also worship Mary more than Jesus, which is wrong. God, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit is the only one who deserves our worship. He is the only and true source of good. There are some people that identify as ?Catholic?, or call themselves by any other denomination name and still believe in Christian Universalism. For me, the most important thing is that they believe in faith alone to be saved by Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:12-13 What I mean is that each one of you says, ?I follow Paul,? or ?I follow Apollos,? or ?I follow Cephas,? or ?I follow Christ.? Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

Other Denominations
?It?s strange that Catholics would say that only Catholics are saved. They won?t even include other Christians in that.? She then agreed with this statement. Later, she mentioned ?Scientists said the universe started with a big bang, but honestly, I can see that as God creating the universe?. Then I replied ?Yeah, like big explosion of light compared to the verse in Genesis mentioning ?Let there be light?, I see that as evidence as well.? I talked to her about the different denominations that exist, like Quakers, comparing them to the Quaker Oat brand, or Presbyterians, and talking about how the important thing is that they?re all Christian. I was then hoping to mention how everyone is saved by faith alone in Jesus Christ.

Genesis 1:3 And God said, ?Let there be light,? and there was light.

1 Corinthians 1:10 ESV I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment

Faith Alone and Universalism
I was so close to mentioning Faith alone and subsequently Universalism, but then she suddenly had to leave for work. At this point we had been talking for over an hour, and we had already finished our food. Don?t worry, we are still on good terms with each other, same as ever, and she was convinced by the things I mentioned. I can only hope that this conversation leads her in the right direction towards Christ. It feels bittersweet honestly. Even though there are a lot of supports of Christian Universalism that I have met online, I have never met a Christian Universalist physically face-to-face, of course other than myself. So, while the experience was a net good, I can?t help but feel a bit empty after it. I feel I was so close to revealing the truth to her. But I must trust in the Lord that she can be led to the truth eventually.

Psalm 145:17 "The Lord is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does.

Closing Thoughts
The expression ?Rome wasn?t built in a day? fits here, I think. As much as I wish I could have evangelized her in the moment, there wasn?t enough time. I at least dissuaded her from pure atheism, so it?s progress. Though, I am in no position to judge, since I too was an atheist, even a nihilist at one point before I was saved. It took me years to be saved by faith alone in Jesus Christ and then years after that to learn of Universal Salvation through Jesus Christ. So, I must be patient. That?s the reason I made this post. So, someone can maybe find this information useful. So, I hope it can helpful.

While working with another person in a group today, I overheard a woman from another group talking about her chronic pain, how it would lead to constant migraines. She mentioned she would go to a pain treatment center and said "...now I take that medication religiously."

This expression "religiously", of course, reminded me of the only true religion, Christianity, as in, worship of the one true God.

QuoteHosea 14:4
I will heal their apostasy,
I will love them freely,
For My anger has turned away from them.

?Return, O faithless sons,
I will heal your faithlessness.?
?Behold, we come to You;
For You are the Lord our God.

He sent His word and healed them,
And delivered them from their destructions.

We are all suffering from an illness, sin. But Jesus Christ died on the cross to wash away all of our sins. The cure? Faith alone in Jesus Christ. Everyone will receive this cure, everyone will confess that Jesus is Lord thus accepting Him as their Saviour.

QuotePsalm 30:2
O Lord my God,
I cried to You for help, and You healed me.
Then, in Heaven, we will all be granted glorified bodies. Perfect forms free of the suffering of sin. God knows how many strands of hair are on all our bodies. He individually created each strand of DNA in our genetic code. All illnesses and all diseases will be cured. And all people will be saved. Amen.

QuoteJeremiah 17:14
Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed;
Save me and I will be saved,
For You are my praise.

Song

?Is it possible to cover everything under the sun?? and then later ?under the sun? was used again. Yes, I was listening to someone and they used that expression twice within the hour. It reminded me of this verse.

QuoteEcclesiastes 1:9 That which has been is that which will be, And that which has been done is that which will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun.

Of course, this can be seen as talking about the suffering on Earth. How humanity can do nothing to save itself from sin, how the only way anyone can be saved is through faith alone in Jesus Christ.

That which has been is that which will be,

QuoteIsaiah 14:27 For the Lord of hosts has planned, and who can frustrate it? And as for His stretched-out hand, who can turn it back??

But as well, from a Universalist perspective, the beginning part mentions how the ending will be like the beginning. In the beginning, the whole world was in a state of bliss, paradise, free from sin. Our ending will be like that too, back in God?s loving grace and peace like in the Garden of Eden. This guarantees that all people will be saved. Nobody can stop God from saving the whole world. As it is His will, it shall be done. Nobody can frustrate His plan of Universal Salvation. The Lord of hosts hand stretches out across the whole world, nobody can turn it back.

And that which has been done is that which will be done.

QuoteGenesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.?

The middle section refers to how God has made a plan for all of humanity since the beginning. That is, He knew from the start that we would need a saviour to save us from our sin. Which is what the Genesis line mentions, how Jesus Christ will crush the head of the serpent, but He will injure His heel as in crucified on the cross. He died for the sins of the whole world. So, to fully crush the serpent?s head, the whole world therefore must be saved. The whole world will believe in faith alone in Jesus Christ for their salvation.

So there is nothing new under the sun.

Quote1 Peter 1:20 For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you

There is nothing new under the sun. Which is true about everything I say in regards to Universal Salvation. Everything that I have ever said, am saying right now and will say about everyone being saved by God has already been said multiple times by other people. And this is good and makes sense. Since God?s plan from the very beginning was to save everyone through faith alone in Jesus Christ. The Lord our God has existed since the beginning and will continue to exist onwards and will never cease to exist. Thus, everything His promise of Universal Salvation. In fact, the very first Universalist was God Himself. Jesus Christ was there since before the world?s foundations were set. It has always been The Lord?s desire to save everyone.

Even the best human surgeons try their best to save all of their patients, so how much more lengths will Our Lord, The God of Peace, go to in order to achieve absolute victory be eliminating all suffering in the world? Human doctors may fail to cure all diseases in a patient, yet they still try to help the best of their abilities despite their human shortcomings? Henceforth, by how much greater heights will Our Lord, the God of Love, climb to in order to save everyone? Especially considering that He is indeed Almighty.

1 Corinthians 13:8 Love never fails.

I thank you all for reading this, my friends, as I typed this entire post in a shopping store on a bench on my phone without any Internet access.

For me, these words come naturally because they are the truth, as is written in the Bible, the original Hebrew and Greek scriptures. It comes naturally because the Holy Spirit guides me to know what words to say, as I believed in Christ and thus was saved and permanently wrapped by the Holy Ghost.

As is written in the book of Corinthians "As all in Adam Die, so also in Christ shall all be made alivd." and "Christ shall be all in all"

Eventually, these words will come naturally to all people, as the Lord promised sinde the foundation of the world. (Gentesis 1:1). Everyone will be let into the gates of the city of Heaven, New Jerusalem. All people in all nations in all families will be healed by the leaves of the tree in that city. Amen.

The last line of the last book of the Bible, Revelations of the New Testament, ends with a blessing from the Lord of Hosts, Christ Jesus, the saviour of all. Thus, let us end this post with a prayer too, my friends. The LORD of Lords, King of Kings, Jesus Christ blesses everybody reading this and those not reading this with salvation all the same, as all will come to beleive in Christ Jesus with faith alone and therefore all will be saved. Amen. :)
