The Day of the LORD

There are some (few) who seem to believe this phrase means the apocalypse, called the wrath of God, is something God takes glee in. I think the phrase means He is God. I also think wrath is usually results and consequences. And calling the crisis day(s) of the final "end-aim" or that is, the results of all man's doings since the first pair bit into the visible option of straying.. since Cain rose up and slew his brother Abel, and to man's splitting of the atom and beyond.
     Calling it "the Day of the LORD" seems to me to be His saying He allowed it. For His own purposes. (For that reason, saying "I own it".)
     Thus in a manner of speaking, taking responsibility for it all.. Not that man isn't considered accountable. We have lots of scripture talking about reaping as we sow.. and after resurrection (an age of) reward or correction.
     "Correction" being from the Greek word, "kolazo" - translated by of course human translators - as punishment and even condemnation. But should read "correction".
     The Lord said, in His parable of the goats and sheep, "The King will answer, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for Me.' And they will go away into aionian (agelasting) kolazo/correction, but the righteous into aionian life." (Mt.25:45-46)
     This is the same as when He said "All in the tombs" (graves) "will hear His voice and will come forth, some in the resurrection of life, and some in the resurrection of judgment" (Jn.5:28-29). And as Peter wrote in 2 Peter 2:9, "God knows how to preserve the unjust for correction/kolazo on 'day' of judgment".
     Yhwh owns it! That would be ONE reason why "God is the savior of all" (1 Timothy 4:10). A logical conclusion - besides the many straight out verses - that 'eternal punishment' is very much an inaccurate perception and translation, that instead should read agelasting correction.
     And the wrath of God as apocalypse is entirely earthly. And is a big part of God's living and - Truth proving - documentary?
