Clay is basically dust mixed with water.  The clay becomes a permanent "pot" in the kiln (fire).

Man was made from the dust, and he needed water to become clay. 

Gen 2:5  And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

Gen 2:6  But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

Gen 2:7  And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Rom 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor?

(I had to think, why can't this/His whirlwind, be man's splitting of God's atom? Didn't He use the agency of man in the O.T. judgments? (War, 2nd horseman of the apocalypse, is given a "long" or "great" sword.. Rev.6)

Revelation 13:13 He (thought to be an individual, but is an office?) performs great signs - modern miracles and wonders? - so that he even makes fire come down from heaven/the sky, on the earth in the sight of men.

Same event originally? -- 6:12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal (described in its totality, not just its "opening"?) and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. 13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. 14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. 15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, (remember bomb shelters? 16 and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”

These last verses do not say fire. But great wrath.. Greek as opposed to burning wrath of the Hebrew..

:dontknow: To me it seems like a lake of fire could be manmade.. results of man.. Making hell evaporate.. Especially if the not yet saved before their death, do not have inherent immortality, not yet having eternal life until they are born again.

The very air we breathe is fiery.. I consider it all a very deep lesson.. this "fire".. & all the verses in your other post, other thread..

Both how "all must be salted with fire" and "he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath." (Verse 10, context, "The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance.. --- I'm thinking rejoice because Jesus comes with it! (2 Thess.2:7-8?) "The tares gathered to Armageddon/to be burned (NOT of course 'forever'!) AND the wheat gathered to Him/in His barn, as the parable goes.. And so begins His long 2nd advent.

Amen.. "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye" - I was just now thinking about the phrase, "before the pots - put over fire, can even feel the heat" - that's how fast..

.."..allow the wheat and weeds to grow together until the harvest" (The bible is ALL about the grain?) "then I will say to the harvesters, gather first the weeds.. and the wheat gather together into the barn of me.. ..the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. 40 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. 41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, 42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"

As therefore is gathered the weeds and in fire is consumed thus it will be in the consummation of the age.

Can you see it? When do the tares undergo fire? It is assumed to be afterlife, but the verses say it is before the saints are gathered to Jesus at His appearing (epiphaneia/epiphany, w,great glory/w,the glory due).

Matthew 24 "The Son of man comes like lightning which can be seen from east to west" - In each one's being (Glory!) and also a literal global occurrence. Also when hell in all its forms, vanishes from our teachings, it will vanish from the psyches/hearts and minds of His children.. "Lovest thou Me? More than all this? Feed my lambs" he said to Peter 3 times..

1 Thess.4
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. Then - we know those burned go to the tombs/the grave, because, "All in the tombs" Jesus said, "will hear His voice and rise. Some in the resurrection to life" --- Rev.20 "the rest of the dead live not again until after the thousand years" -- "and some in the resurrection to judgment" - Jn.5:28. "For God knows how to preserve them for correction (to curtail,prune) on day of judgment" 2 Peter 2:9, their day of atonement like today is ours!
