hello

I met Jesus a year ago during a prayer. What I learned, he has the power to change the heart. He is of absolute sweetness and goodness. His light  illuminates me and showed me my sinful nature. It's a blessing of God.He wanted me to diminish my esteem of me which was judged too high according to him. He planted a seed in me and it's up to me to take care of it.I abandoned the idea that psychology was the solution to my problems. I am more aware of my spiritual state. But, I have doubts of existence of God. It's like that I can not help it.Despise that,I still pray every day because there is no doubt that something has happened in me that is quite positive. There are so many sects and I can't find someone who have met Christ this way, it's an unforgettable experience that happened in another dimension.it's an experience that goes beyond understanding.

:cloud9: I've met Him, and so has my friend, and so did my daughter. When these negative thoughts come at you, rebuke them in His name by His blood covenant, out loud. Speak some scripture back to it. Eventually it will grow tired of trying and leave. Resist the devil and he will flee. Blessings....

Hi Cardinal

As I read you, I realized that I am afraid of losing my control by totally believing in God. In the past, I followed demons without knowing it.I suffered from schizophrenia.I was under a control of a demon. but there was a healing process when the Lord opened my eyes. I think the demon is still in me and he doen't totally leave out. I think that the schizophrenia have come from a sexual trauma suffered in my childhood.. what should I do. Pray for me

Gal 2;20 " I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who lives, but Christ who lives in me,
and this life I live in the body I live by faith of the Son of God,
Who loved me and gave His life for me."

No demon can change this fact.
They will accuse you of failing in faith- but our strength is Christ's faith, not ours, so we will NEVER fail.
The helmet of salvation is to know with full assurance we are saved by Christ.
The shield of faith is Jesus faith. He has done everything for us.
NOTHING can keep us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Many religions twist the truth and rely on personal effort/works.
True Christianity is all about what Jesus did for us to set us free from the law of sin and death.
I used to follow the spiritual warfare stuff- much is out of context.
Jesus has full authority which no spirit can over power. So relying on Him is the ONLY answer to our problems of life.

One title of satan is the accuser. He will throw accusations left right and centre about how you have failed, or done this wrong thing.
Jesus nailed all those sins and mistakes we have made in our life BEFORE the world began.

Look what kind of love the Father has GIVEN us, that we are allowed to be called the children of God, and such we are.

I.M.O He is working in you and will remove all fear and doubt absolutely.
This is an on-going process as we grow in grace and knowledge.

Col 2;3 " In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."

Col 2;13-15 " And although you were dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh,
GOD MADE YOU ALIVE WITH CHRIST.
HE FORGAVE US ALL OUR TRANSGRESSIONS/SINS,
HAVING CANCELLED THE CERTIFICATE OF DEBT with all it's legal demands against us, which was hostile to us.
HE HAS TAKEN IT AWAY BY NAILING IT TO THE CROSS.
HE STRIPPED THE PRINCIPALITIES OF THEIR AUTHORITY
and disgraced them in public by triumphing over them in Christ."

I.M.O as we grow we learn to forgive others for their mistakes, just like Jesus has forgiven us for ours.
In nasty abuse situations this is hard to do since there are so many scars on our soul.
Jesus says to the pharisees " let him who is without sin cast the first stone."
They all walked away. We too, are to walk away.
For me, knowing they will be corrected in their time means they will not get away with their sins like they think they have. This fact then can set us free from the need to accuse them- satan will do that anyway, just like he tries to do so to us in our life.
The inner power of the soul is huge- but Christ is greater and He will not leave us or forsake us.

Talk to our Father as our one and only Father, all because Jesus has given us that position.
He works in us, as His children, as we grow little by little- all the while we are in His universe so He has ALL things in the plan.

It's an experience that goes beyond understanding.

I attended church for many years. Got into spiritual warfare. Went to prayer groups who were praying against heavenly authorities so as to "Claim our city for Christ."

I was out at midnight walking around in my church praying and clearing away all the legal rights for any spirit to access the church.
I cannot describe how this moment just became meaningless/futile. A major change to my whole inner being.
Just like a wake up call.
That was 17 years ago.
Since that time I have been freed from all the hypocrisy in the religions/doctrines that are in church life.
I only know that difference because the truth has been brought to life outside the camp [ Heb 13;13].
We become no longer of this age. Just like we leave our home when we grow up in the physical, we leave this world as we become spiritual and we see things from a totally different perspective.

I.M.O this is the start of a major change for you. God loves you. Christ Loves you. This is all part of a major plan for the salvation of all mankind, each one of us at our own appointed time, just like a major family coming to the truth and are born at their own time.

"All things work together for good, for those who love the Lord, and are called to His purpose."

God has the power to take anything and use it for our ultimate good. No matter how terrible a situation is, there is no pit so deep that God's love cannot find it. My approximation of Corey Ten Boom's quote. The safest place for anyone to be, is in the heart of God's will for us.

My favorite Bible quote: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight. The greatest control we can have over our life, is when we give it to God. Hard to do, many times, but it is, in my eyes, the only good choice we have.

By the way, yesterday was my 3rd Anniversary of accepting Universal Salvation!

What has changed in my life? Well, I always believed in God; have always known Jesus. Over the years, I have grown, I believe, in my faith, but most of all, in my trust of God. Through my trials, I always had faith, and really was never mad at God. I have gone through rough waters, but, I feel it only brought me closer to God. Now, at 63, I can look back and see His hand, throughout my life. I can also see times that I did not listen to Him, one time in particular, and how it effected my life, in a negative way. But, I know, despite that, He was still there.

I look back and see that God put pivotal people in my life to support and guide me. Not the ones you might expect.....but, then, isn't that just like God....His ways are certainly not ours.

I am grateful....not enough at times, that He got me this far. I believe there are great things still to come here, and even greater in Heaven. I am hoping He sends me as a 'missionary' on a planet with aliens one day, after my life here, to evangelize. Anyone want to join me?  :ghaha:

In the meantime.....I try to let go, let Him lead, and do a lot of good along the way.

My role model, as a child, was my principal, at my grammar school. She was an Ursuline nun and taught us all SERVIUM....service to God; service to others. She has passed now, but we were in touch on and off, from I was in grammar school. I saw her only about a month before her journey home to Heaven. I hope I live that motto well.

You know a lot of folks gave me a hard time in believing in   Christian Universal salvation of all.

I looked at some old emails  even  my sister whom has  since mortally died in 2012  , was not convinced of Universal  salvation  and no one can believe this unless the Father gives it to you though the Son  in my own opinion
I have great opposition  and it was difficult for me for a while to believe it  .  Till the Lord come in the Spirit of truth  ,to make it known in my heart also ..
Many have believed for a while and than left this very forum over the years .

Many seen God as a God of conditions , I will not love you unless you do this and that and  all the  things
that are impossible for a human being to meet .

I believe a born again of the Spirit of Truth is a new creature in Christ and is given  a new heart to understand  the LOVE OF GOD   that does keep the law of liberty  alive in us  or we would give up when listening to others , and groups  of folks with good intentions  but are missing out on the freedom in Christ   to do THE DESIRE OF GODS OWN HEART .

The Spirit is willing but the flesh is  weak  , so when we find  our flesh failing  the test Christ is our strength  , and the more you learn to lean on Him the better off you  will find you can stand in the truth  , even if others are giving you a hard time in your faith,

I say this  because JESUS   come in the flesh and that was all  mankind saw   .
He come with a  new covenant  and standard that broke the traditional   law of sin nature  and exposed its  fatal flaws

which  to me has always been  a prideful spirit  that  thinks it is doing a service for God  but is actually  scattering  everyone to his own place .

I do believe that is when JESUS DOES COME TO US IN THE SPIRIT OF LIFE   to set us straight and on a path that we can begin to follow Him that leads to all truth   and  if we can keep from the cares of this life   from distracting us  , with its demands and  upkeep , we can  begin  to know the peace   that Jesus gives us and comfort that can only come from Him

I always think of Jesus saying indirectly   DON'T GIVE UP,  DONT QUIT , DON'T  STOP TRYING , Those   whom endure till the end  shall be saved .
I WONDERED  TILL THE END OF WHAT LORD ?

I realized it is   the end of the world having that much power over my  life ! it is going into His place of rest   in the shadow of His wings  , when I get to the place   where God has made a quiet refuge  and shut out all the noise .

I sit in His silence and gather  those peaceful thoughts  IN HIS PRESENCE  and all those silly doubts fade away   .so  Helped me was  reading Psalm 46   today .
Let the LORD build His  place in our hearts to  dwell  and let go of the struggles  and pain and binding us up  with other peoples sorrows and fight  , by getting a grip on your own . so you can truly be of help in the hour of need  when others  ask of you . why are you believing in GOD so much ?
Jesus is the reward  !!

During my first prayers whith God I said "" I'll be honest with you, I don't believe you exist".Suddenly, I started crying and every time I prayed I cried. It was indescribable. For a while, my heart hardened because of the things of the world. He has tried to free me from the world by making me go through tests so that I understand what is important for God. But,now, I don't have the same favor  as when I prayed to Christ.
As I read to you, I believe that I no longer have to focus on my doubts but rather trust that Christ is at work in me. I am sure of one thing, it 's that my heart has more opened.

I.M.O this is to change HOW you pray.
I used to go to church and prayed for all sorts of stuff as they do in the church.
No longer attending has changed the "method/style/way" of praying.
No repetition. No trying to impress..
Jesus points this out when saying don't pray like the pharisees do to boast, rather pray like the tax collector.
Now I see this as a loving, in-depth conversation with our Father.
When spending time with my dad we would just do stuff, without having to chat at the time. The presence and influence still there even though not talking.
In the spirit we are continually in prayer/presence with God. How we communicate has changed as He is in us and reads/guides our thoughts and desires.
Your encounter has started you into an awesome growth which cannot be described adequately.
The doubts will be removed as you grow. His love never fails.

God bless you Raouda! What a wonderful testimony about the Lord's power to communicate to us, and to change us. And of how He loves us all!

How has my own meeting with Him changed my life? (By changing me.)

I was not a church goer, but found God in the mountains. "gsmile" I then tried just a little church, but studying on my own, they seemed not as focused on love as on letting folks know they are sinners, a work not theirs but the work of God's Spirit.

So I left the churches - oh more than 40 years ago, and have studied on my own (the bible of course) ever since, shying away from all the "teachings" and doctrines.

I actually felt a little 'guilty' about that until coming online and after a while seeing how others have had to struggle to escape those doctrines!

Mostly, instead of loving others, I used to compete with others and I think I feared others. But the Lord set me free to love! I had a very rough upbringing/childhood, a first memory is my mom holding my head under water and heard dad say, that's enough hon, Tho he too had his own abuses! Yes not what a loving dad should do to his daughter.. so I was a confused and very hurt person. But so thankfully was saved and reconciled to God at age 24. I needed Him in a big way and drank deeply of His Spirit and of His Word/scripture.

I remained separated from the churches and doctrines. I heard of them of course, but I bought the big Strong's books in which we can look up the original words used when the verses were first written.. To let the words make up my own mind as to what the scripture says. Now I use mostly biblehub.com

I had some rather severe struggles when our children came along, which I guess is normal with early life family abuses, when in again family situation, these things come forth out of the heart and psyche. In answer to prayer, the Lord gave me a schedule to follow - I was sitting in the yard under some plum trees laced with grape vines and seemed like His Spirit said for healing I should "keep Sabbath" 3 times a day, during all four seasons. After this I especially considered myself a spiritual 'hermit' and feel like I live in my own "inner monastery" ( https://inner-monastery.blogspot.com/ -
https://inner-monastery.blogspot.com/p/daily.html - my reading schedule, focused "mostly" on the New Testament about His covenant ratified by Jesus, gospels blended into 2 six month readings, letters in the order believed written - I wanted to "enter the story" :gsmile:

Later I prayed and prayed to understand bible prophecy and thus the world we live in ( https://bibleprophecy4today.blogspot.com/ ) and that changed my life too.

Mostly, that I was able to be happily married and raised two strong, healthy, independent children, I consider to be a miracle, as before Jesus, I was highly dysfunctional, I believe instead I would have been an addict of one sort or another and likely have perished/died by now. So literally from death, to Life.

Then about 20 or so years ago, our son asked me 2 biblical questions, which I was not satisfied with my answers so I prayed earnestly for better answers / understanding. And WoW! the answers came back like bam! bam! bam! knocked my socks off and my socks are still knocked off. Another change - deep abiding peace and joy, more than even previously. His questions were "why was the tree of knowing good & evil in the garden?" (Because when He endowed thinking ability to angel and man a whole new world/tree of possibilities came about..) And "isn't it great we get to be an ant farm".. short answer, that's the deal, we're not an ant farm! And I learned our Father is life itself, and "is perfect" so imperfect is the opposite of life :faint: and He being life lives through all the horrible things people do.. the "bams!" ended with a question (to me) - "why did He wait so-very-long and only create the universe and man & woman, not only after the first bound-to-occur rebel thought occurred, but after it had fully matured into outright revolt and trickery?" (Long time because when there was 'only' the Father, the Son, the Spirit/Presence of God and the angels, there wasn't that much to go astray about! oh the patience of our loving Father!

Well sorry to include all that.. I just can't help myself most of the time!

Mostly - what change? Everything! He made me sane and healthy, motivated and able to love.. which love seems to ever increase.

P.S. - IMO means - in my opinion (which is a good thing to say rather than it is so and so what the scripture says, and claiming to be an authority about something.. except a direct quote would be iho? in His opinion :laughing7: ) tho I've only read a bit of the thread, I noticed that question. I want to agree with posts about the accuser. I think of the "large covering shield of faith" how the adversary&co"s accusations, fears, threats, other babblings, are like darts. Which when our shield of faith / TRUST is intact, those darts hit it and fall powerlessly broken to the ground  I think I read that somewhere.. pretty sure actually. And it seems logical to me. (Logic/logos - truth is logic! imo :)

I find the more I do for the Lord the more threats and accusations.. Like Cardinal I tell them to go away in the name of Jesus.. be quiet and be gone in the name of Jesus.. often only in my head.. afterall, that's their battleground? But I know verbal is more quickly effective. And I quote a verse.. like, Jesus is Lord.. God is love, no weapon formed against me will prosper, no calamity will come nigh my tent.. no pestilence near my home (tho I may have those last two a bit vice versa.. that's Psalm 91 - it's best of course to read the verses if we want to quote them with conviction/faith.. Psalm 23 and 91 - some day I'm going to read both aloud daily.

Healing from early life trauma.. we share that sister.. Trust Him.. He does heal.. like in Psalms "he turned my mourning into dancing" - literally. I have three grandaughters, 20, 10 and soon one year old. Helping with the childcare, danced joyfully with the first two as infants and was thinking just yesterday - now that I am needed for more childcare, my daughter returning to work part time - that I have to also dance with her. So I better tell hubby to play music more often as I am older now than I was then! ..still dancing though..

We can trust him!! We don't lose our self.. He has the blueprint of our highest and best self! What we lose is what holds us back. We can weep in His arms - "beneath are the everlasting arms.." And that weeping of trauma out of the heart, heals us.. later most of our weeping is for others.. and the world. And that's why I believe there will be lots of weeping upon Judgment 'Day' the long day of completing the work of Jesus' drawing "all" to Himself (Jn 12:32).

I figure it was only a sort of lucky shake of the heavenly dice, that I was chosen to be given the gift of faith during this brief lifetime (because the scripture says it wasn't because we are any better or worse than others - I figure for this truth proving drama / experience He needs more than one type of character! Otherwise I think we would "all" come to belief now during this lifetime. But their day of repentance and reconciliation will simply be during "the judgment" / "correction" (age of) ..their Day Of Atonement..

The formula (prescription) our daily bread (scripture) and wine (the wine of prayer and His Spirit who guides and teaches.. best heard/perceived in the (peace of) quietness. All this is imo of what the scripture says. :gsmile:

Also love this verse;

2 Cor 3;18 " And we all,
                   with unveiled faces,
seeing a clear and correct image in a mirror the glory of the Lord,
are being transformed into the same image
FROM one degree of glory TO another,
even as from the Lord, who is Spirit."

From our current state of being into the complete change to be like Jesus in every regard when resurrected, and having the start of that now in the physical as much as we can hold - literally bursting at the seams so that Christ is radiating from us and we cannot take credit for His grace and works.

I met Jesus a year ago during a prayer. What I learned, he has the power to change the heart. He is of absolute sweetness and goodness. His light  illuminates me and showed me my sinful nature. It's a blessing of God.

:cloud9: Hi again......sexual trauma definitely opens a door to many things sometimes, including schizophrenia. Keep pouring the Word in you, and if you have not done so already, ask Him to baptize you in His Holy Spirit, for this is where your strength lies. Eventually, as you sup (means to consume) with Him, He will sup with you so much so that you will not even be able to pinpoint the day you were truly not the same person He started with, but it will happen in every aspect of your life and person. The more of Him you take in, the less room for anything else.  Blessings to you!  :girlheart:

Today, God make me understand not to judge others not to throw the stone because we all sinned.
A year ago, when I asked why I was not cured of my trauma and I also asked of enlightenment, the reaction of Jesus was unexpected. He did not heal me from my trauma but he kindly asked  me to be more humble and especially he opened my heart.
Every day God brings me to repentance. And it's thanks to repentance that I feel better in my head.

Mostly - what changed? Everything! He made me sane and healthy, motivated and able to love.. which love seems to ever increase.

:dsunny:
His love never fails.
Also love this verse;

Amen! He is "the seed" and, it's His work.. quite amazing.. :cloud9:

"And the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty; and we all, with unvailed face, the glory of the Lord beholding in a mirror, to the same image are being transformed, from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." (YL)

I used to cry in despair and angry because of the trauma but now I have cried because of the repentance of the heart.
At first I went to church for three months. Something embaressed me , the idea of the eternal hell was bothering a lot. Morever their prayers to head me from my trauma hurt me more than good. They told me that it was normal to feel bad because of Satan.
The real prayer was to ask him that I repent with my heart. . Because every time I prayed for healing from my trauma his presence was far away and I felt bad.  Hé made me understand I prayed badly. What God wanted more than anything is I have turned to repentance with the heart.
I wish my testimony would help.
