"... in order that now, unto the principalities and the authorities in the heavenlies [even the angelic entities] might be made known through means of the assembly [the ekklesia], the manifold wisdom of God, according to a plan of the ages which he made in the anointed Jesus our Lord.” -- Ephesians 3:10–11 (Rotherham Version)

I'm thinking knowledge of the ages could openly reveal God's UR in it's full glory! :dsunny:

Wow! Look at this..

From the first link -

There is an “age to come” (aion in Greek, in Matthew 12:32; Mark 10:30; Luke 18:30; Ephesians 1:21; Hebrews 6:5; and Revelation 20:2–7) that prophetic commentators commonly refer to as the Millennium.

This age begins at the return of Christ Jesus to earth, it lasts for 1,000 years,

and ends with the replacing of the present heaven and earth with a new heaven and earth.

The apostle Peter considered the flood to be such a transition between ages.
Certainly a major change such as a new creation would mark the end of one age and the beginning of another. The “age of the ages” marked by that new heaven and earth also witnesses the coming down from heaven of the City of God called New Jerusalem in the Book of Revelation.

Duration of the “Great White Throne” Judgment

Aha! :banana:  :thumbsup: 'Day' of Judgment is between the millennium and the "all in all" event when the Father "makes all things new" - Rev.21

Last year I came across a book in Dr. Martin’s library that proposed the “great white throne” judgment would last for 1,000 years.

:banana: but i think its duration is 500 years due to the pattern of the Fall Holy Days - Lev.23)

I thought this was a remarkable concept that had great implications. I was soon reminded that Dr. Martin proposed the same thing in his book The Essentials of New Testament Doctrine in chapter 16 “The Resurrections from the Dead,” pp. 244–246. 14 As the apostle Peter wrote (with precision I might add):

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Looking for and hastening unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness.”

Surely these are TWO events?! :dontknow: seems that way to me.. especially considering other verses and prophecy.

2 Peter 3:10–13

This “day of the Lord” that Peter referred to will be a time of judgment.

I believe starts w/ Jesus' return during (fiery) Armageddon when the works of Earth are brought to ruin (fiery\thermo-nuclear LOF?) -- 1st mention of lof

These events have no relation to the Second Coming of Christ. These events occur 1,000 years after that event, immediately after the rebellion at the end of the Millennial age when Satan is loosed (Revelation 20:7–10) at the time of the dissolution of that age, and the time of the creation of the new heaven and new earth.

The Saints Reign with Christ 1,000 Years

And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. (so) This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in (this) the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Satanic Rebellion Crushed
7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. 9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came (rained? as in liquid? lof?) down from God out of heaven and devoured them. 10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are (an institution/beast and a theory/fp). And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. --- 2nd mention of lof

The Great White Throne Judgment
11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God,

and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life.

And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.

13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire.This is the second death. 15 And anyone not (by then??) found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire." 3rd mention of lof ---when the elements burn with a furious heat and there is a new heavens and a new earth?

Fall Holy Days:

Trumpets (of Rev. & last/7th Trump when Jesus returns) -- 10 days/1000yrs Later:

'Day' of Atonement :banana: collective 'day' ("the judgment" - DOA for the initially doa/rise not (yet) saved/"still (initially) in their sins") - Lev.23:26-32 & Numbers 29:7-11 -- ‘On the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a (national/collective) holy convocation. You shall afflict your souls; (repentance? weeping, gnashing of teeth of some?) you shall do no work.(not of works!) 8 You shall present a burnt offering to the Lord as a sweet aroma :Chinscratch: incense? like in Rev.? spiritual burnt offering - praise as tongue/flame of lof?

p.s./edit, ...the "Last Great Day" of the feast.. 8th day of Tabernacles, or I guess the first day after the 7 days Tabernacle week... so..? IF, Tabernacles represents/is the type and shadow of Revelation chapter 21 - the "all in all"event, does that make Revelation chapter 22 the "Last Great Day"?

“In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, ‘If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believes on me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.’ Jn.7:37-38

Rev.22:1 - "And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb."

Important to note? Revelation 22 has outside of the vision narrative weaved in, and logically(?) does not mean there will be any "still in their sins" and "outside the city" and kingdom, and thus are in outer darkness..

That "due time" will be the "great white throne" judgment 17 when tens of billions — perhaps as many as 40 billions — of people will know Christ as their God, their Mediator, their Savior, and their Ransom for sin — just as you know Him today. Get ready, be prepared, and study, study, study (2 Timothy 2:15). Though death is an enemy (1 Corinthians 15:26), "even so in Christ shall all be made alive" (1 Corinthians 15:22).

You will witness and participate in every event of "the ages of the ages":

(1) Christ's Second Coming;

(2) the Millennium and its glory;

(3) the dissolving of the old creation;

(4) the creation of the new heaven and earth;

(5) the descent of New Jerusalem; the "great white throne" judgment; and

(6) the final reconciliation of all to God the Father.

Even then, as I have written before, that only will be the beginning ...

"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him."  1 Corinthians 2:9

Wigram’s Concordance will give you every reference and show you whether it is singular or plural, you can begin to make some sense of what the apostles Paul, John, Peter, and even Christ Himself were trying to say about this “plan of the ages.”

“To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever [panta tous aiones, to “all the ages,” plural]. Jude 25

“The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he has put all things under his feet. But when he says all things are put under him, it is manifest that he [the son] is excepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.” 1 Corinthians 15:26–28

“For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive” (1 Corinthians 15:22).
