Can anyone help interpret this dream? I thought it was just an ordinary dream at first because it was not that realistic. But then someone said that God dreams don't have to be realistic.

Had a dream where I was at a table with (some high school classmates?) and people. They were making fun of my beliefs, and I guess I was "preaching" to them?

It was dark in the background, but I think a light was shining down on the table. It might have been a party/club setting. I also think there was a white tablecloth.

I remember asking God to give me the words to speak, and I was giving verses, or at least talking about the Bible. I then said, after some pausing from thinking/waiting for what to say, I said "I am giving you verses to lay the foundation, because Christ is the foundation." A lot of the dream I don't remember or vaguely do, but it centered around this.

Also to note, the people were surrounding me at the table, and even someone on the right, but did not see their face, only the shoulder and hand
John 1
14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Psalms23;5You prepare me a table in the presence of mine enemies. You anoint my head with oil,my cup overflows.Surely goodness

and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Psalms 22;16Job 17;2  Surely mockers surround me,my eyesmust dwell on their hostility.Isaaih 60;2see,darknesscovers the earth

and thick darkness is over the nations, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you

Zechariah 3;1,2 The Lord said to Satan, the Lord rebuke Satan.  v9there are seven eyes on that one stone, and I will engrave

an inscription on it...and I will remove the sin of this land in a single day.In that day each of you will invite his neighbor to

sit under his vine and fig tree. :2c:

Seems to be pointing out to you the true utterances are from God, which is the witness/testimony about Christ.
Rev 19;10 " Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me;

' Do not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony about Jesus-
                      pay divine reverence to God;

for the declaration in a matter of fact or doctrine about Jesus [testimony] IS THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY."

We are all  surrounded by mankind who are not yet aware of the truth.
We are currently a single light showing in a dark place- the ages to come start the implementation of colossal changes amongst all who are presently like faceless entities. THEN they will become alive just like we are already alive in Christ.

Amen! Ross and Sheila! :cloud9:

What a kool dream! The waiting upon the Lord for the words.. the verses. -- Jesus being the foundation.. I am thinking you felt 'the power of it?' Felt the Lord's presence with you in the dream (?)

I too thought of the Psalm verse in that famous Psalm, how The Lord is our shepherd.. He sets a table before us.. (yes even in the presence of our 'enemies'.. scoffers (whom Jesus loves and we do too)..

I was just now reading about the Greek word logos :cloud9: in the description "reasoning expressed by words" and how Jesus was saying in John 8 (end of chapter) that He always does what His Father says.. the people were arguing with Him (about it) but He said if they knew the Father they would accept Jesus and His words because He came from the Father, and "it's the logos of the Father that Jesus keeps"..

(I had been wondering how would believers live, and believe, or what shape ones faith would have to be, if they had no bible, no access to a bible.. listen to the words of other humans? not my cup of tea.. UNTIL knowing the (NT) scripture really, really (really) well. But what focus for the faith without God's expressed words? It would be LOVE of course! Love - Love - Love.. It's the oil that needs to flow.. Love doesn't mean changing the idea of what's right and wrong.. But love convinces of good and evil far better than anything else!

What I got mostly from your dream was the warm Spirit of the Lord, and of waiting upon Him as the source of ones words / source of truth, and He is always "keeping Father's word" - The Father's "reasoning expressed in words".

A great dream! One that reminds me of one I had many, many years ago, early in my walk.. it was a night sky and there were stars in the shape of an arrow and the words/thought "many arrows to come".. Your dream to me, sounds like an arrow - of direction, that is. ..to always love.. always leaning upon.. waiting for His leading and words.

How fitting in our days of rampant untruth and confusion.. muddying of the waters! Even by many of His own! But the table in your dream.. the Light was shining upon it.

What a feast!  :Chinscratch: how's the verse go.. (I had to look it up)

-- "So he told them, "Every student of the Scriptures who becomes a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like someone who brings out treasures new and old from the storeroom. The storehouse of treasure! as Jesus said, knowing truth sets FREE. And He prayed "Thy Word is Truth".

QuoteI am thinking you felt 'the power of it?' Felt the Lord's presence with you in the dream (?)
Throughout the short amount of dreams I've gotten, Ive never actually felt His presence in them. I should note though, in the dream waiting for the words to speak, that part felt like in real life. Waiting for the correct words...

Although, I think I did feel mainly the heaviness of the presence last night? Started out with the "ticklish" goosebumps feeling. Probably the heaviest I've felt it so far.

Thanks for the help so far! And MG's explanation helped a lot.

Very interesting , there is no doubt that God is dealing with you and am so happy for you brother !!

it is awesome  to be  given the gifts of the Holy Spirit [Life and fill with His presence ] He promises to never leave us or forsake us ! a sure thing to  cling too ]   ..

Holy Spirit teach you in that hour what to say and how to say it  :dsunny:
  the WORDS OF LIFE

Luke 12

Confessing Christ
...11When you are brought before the synagogues, rulers, and authorities, do not worry about how to defend yourselves or what to say.

12For at that time the Holy Spirit will teach you what you should say."

13Someone in the crowd said to Him, "Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me."...

Exodus 4:12
Now go! I will help you as you speak, and I will teach you what to say."

Matthew 10:19
But when they hand you over, do not worry about how to respond or what to say. In that hour you will be given what to say.

Matthew 10:20
For it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

Luke 12:13
Someone in the crowd said to Him, "Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me."

Luke 21:15
For I will give you speech and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.

The way you treat ,  have done unto anyone  of these [MINE ] you have done unto  Me ....    the WORD OF GOD    judges us all  rightly dividing
in righteousness  the TRUTH /Standard .  :HeartThrob:

Matt   25

37 "Then the ·good [righteous] people will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and give you food, or thirsty and give you something to drink?

38 When did we see you ·alone and away from home [a stranger] and ·invite you into our house [welcome/receive you]? When did we see you ·without clothes [naked] and ·give you something to wear [clothe you]?

39 When did we see you sick or in prison and ·care for [come to] you?'

40 "Then the King will answer, 'I tell you the truth, anything you did for even the least of my ·people here [ brothers (and sisters)], you also did for me.'

I believe we all become instruments [of use  in servitude and purpose ]  of Gods judgments  in the earth  in one way or the other .

For or against the TRUTH   /standard a level of quality or attainment.
"their restaurant offers a high standard of service"
synonyms:   quality, level, grade, degree, worth, caliber, merit, excellence
"the standard of work is very good"
2.
an idea or thing used as a measure, norm, or model in comparative evaluations.

As you judge so shall you be judged by the standard of truth / JESUS CHRIST ........    :HeartThrob:

Jesus is the reward  !!

The reality of a presence which goes beyond words- a "gut" feeling. I.M.O true faith!
Paul said he heard "unspeakable words which he was not allowed to utter" [2 Cor 12;4].
This seems to be this way so we literally sense His presence and KNOW Christ in Me is ALL we need, so we can boast in Christ and have no confidence in the flesh.

I don't know what my ability to translate dreams actually is, but, I would say, I am not qualified, by teachings or by nature, to feel I could be useful in this arena. Sometimes I feel I know what my own dreams are saying to me, but, certainly, not always.

The Holy Spirit is very good at this, though. I would definitely suggest you ask Him about it.

Praying that you learn what God intends for you to know.

D.
7"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened....

Matthew 7:7 -8
