Why do you believe and are convinced of Universal Reconciliation?

Another thread has made me realize how interesting it is to hear other's top reasons for believing UR. ..Sure to be a lot of overlap.. God's Word.. Logic.. Love..

This commentary today reminded me of this.

[Commentary - the verse, "My time is not yet come".—Comp. Note on John 2:4. Here, as there, He regards the events of life as marked out by divinely-ordered seasons.

...somehow this is one of my own top reasons for being convinced of UR. Things like "have the people sit in groups of fifty or a hundred.." To say nothing about the very orderly universe.. so perfectly balanced its vastness 'hangs on nothing' (Xcept His Spirit of course!) I think hangs on nothing is a verse.. but I'm not sure.

My top reason is what I was shown early in my walk, that when it came to salvation, there were only three possibilities, those three being:

NONE - SOME - ALL

1. that nobody will be saved
2. that some will be saved, and some won't be saved
3. that all would be saved

Since I believe that God exists and that He does save, that eliminated the first possibility, leaving only two possibilities.

Since there are none righteous, the only just thing to do was either condemn all or save all and since the first possibility was already eliminated that only left the third to be true.

1. God creates out of Himself. No aspect of His  great Person is lost.

2. He does miracles. The feeding of 5000 ++ ends with gathering up the fragments that remain "that nothing be lost". Our God loses NOTHING!

3. The most powerful word  for all in koine is not  #3956 pas, but the all of polýs. Our God is the Source, the Guide, and the Goal of the all.  Yes, my friends THE ALL.

What always brings me to the point of no doubt is this line from 1 Corinthians 13:8:

"Love never fails."

I especially love that! "Love never fails"! :thumbsup: I never really noticed that until I read it in your posts.

:thumbsup: Amen! ..I think of it that God can only be perfect (or He too would fade? For some reason I have a certainty that that is true.. imperfect cannot endure.)

And of course the scripture says He "is perfect". And Perfect makes no mistake(s) and can lose nothing. To lose even one thing, would be to be imperfect.

( ..And I think He is life (itself), the breath and spark of life. All life. Apart from Him - no life or living. What i consider to be the summary of this lesson we are all "in heaven and earth" learning of good from evil, life from death. Imperfection being the opposite of life.. but better than not having thinking ability!  Sorry to ramble.. It seems obvious to me that He is creating, 1, His own family, and 2, an age to age, un-breakable paradise/perfection. Unbreakable, enduring, because all will fully understand what He is teaching and imprinting upon the heart and psyche of "all".

I guess what I mean, is how He builds upon the truth we believe.. as long as it's true! And if true, easily(?) confirmed in the scripture.
