Your DNA info would fill the Grand Canyon

That’s what I read.. I didn’t fact check it in any way.. It’s in a ‘creationist’ text book. And actually it said the information from the genetic strand of one cell.. and every cell has it.. Would fill the Grand Canyon.

But, if we had the physical material of all the dna of all people who have ever lived, it would be the size of an aspirin.

I read that a few weeks ago. Then last night I was reading on the Internet (that can be dangerous! :laughing7: ) how in Adam all the dna for all of us was in Adam - this is a site which says they are geneticists, which I’m inclined to think they are. They say they are writing not too technical to keep it understandable. :ty:

And in Eden when Adam disobeyed, the human dna “reset”. But God, they say, has the original (whether as blueprint.. I don’t remember or they didn’t say (?) That the original blueprint was to be nonfading. The title of this article was “the dna gospel”. :doh: :laughing7:

On another page of the site, they talked about the two creation accounts in Genesis. I’ve always thought the 2nd account is an insert, just giving more info, but these guys say it’s written there in the text, how there was no plant or herb, or water to water the earth, nor man to til it (account 2).

So their theory is that the first account is like God drawing up the plans. The blueprint, then the second account is Him “activating” the things..this is why the order is changed in account 2, from the order in account 1.

Previously I’ve thought the difference in order is because the 2nd is the order inside the Eden garden. You know, like first the whole creation account. And then the creating the garden account.

Anyway I thought that to be very interesting. I will put the link in this comment, but :doh: I don’t have it on my phone right now.

P.S. - I forgot my whole point! The God so able as all this and all we see.. to imagine He is not capable / able to “rescue” all seems very ridiculous.. Not that “rescue” implies He didn’t engineer all things exactly as He has.. (in order to bring about the best?) As it is also, surely? Impossible for Him, which the Bible tells us “is perfect” to make a mistake, misplace anything, or have anything take Him by surprise.. Logically, not possible.

I just had to come back and add this, I read another website a few days ago, who was writing about the Hebrew calendar, that originally God's calendar - the revolution of the Earth around the sun was exactly 360 days, so 12 exact 30 days months.. But the flood knocked us off by those degrees.. however many it would take(?) ..And each month began with the smallest sliver of the new moon, with the quarters marking exact weeks. :HeartThrob: :sigh:
   :dontknow: I thought it was interesting. And oh boy would i prefer that calendar! (Nerd that I am)
