I guess right of the bat my views for a very long time are. There is no literal hell, for me what's the point. After death for believers a heavenly resurrection into the house of God. The universe was created to give Jesus brothers and sister in expanding the Royal family of God. Angel's not included. This is the very reason for our existence, and why are we here. After my research into this stuff, these are my conclusion.

I am curious to know if anyone in this forum have come to the same sought of thoughts on these subjects matters. Of  course I understand this is not the last word on any given topic.

That is probably the best answer to the question. I would also say to learn good and evil, to learn how to love, to appreciate everything, etc.

Why are we here?

I believe first and foremost, to give Glory to our God. We are also here to share the love that God has given us. To return God's love and to love our fellow humans. We are here to grow in our faith, through various experiences, reading the Bible, participating in fellowship, observing nature, and God's creation. We are each here for specific reasons, ordained by God. We are here to be transformed into who God created us to be....a reflection of His son; of the uniqueness and worthiness of our being created in God's image and likeness.

Ephesians 2:10

Ephesians 2:4-7

I do believe that we will have to give an account to God of how we have conducted ourselves and that our transformation will be completed, on the day that Jesus calls all the Kingdom of God together, at the end of times. I do not know all the details....we will be purified, and the good work that God started in us, will then be completed. We might even continue to learn more, I suppose, but we will no longer be broken or subject to the evil, sinfulness, and temptations of this world, but then, of the glory of Heaven.

Philippians 1:6

6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

   :thumbsup: Amen! Some very good conclusions!

I sometimes think God is, in a small sense, replicating Himself! (Small sense, because not only will He always be God & Most High, the Son will "always be preeminent".) "Brothers and Sisters for Jesus".. and God creating His own family and also, an un-breakable paradise perfection. (Imo) Un-breakable because first thing, is the 'programming' of us all and "all in heaven and earth" (Eph 1:10 & Col 1:20) by our learning to fully understand good from evil, which I think is also life from death/nonlife. I believe we are learning that apart from Him, no life nor living. So pointless/cannot be done/don't go there.

I believe, seeing as God is life - who/what else could be? "In the beginning God.." And, He "is perfect" - so I have to think when He endowed thinking ability (to angel & man) a whole new world (or tree) of possibilities came about. Because (surely?) with thinking ability comes the ability to make choices. (Highly limited thank goodness & as to the faith "God chooses" who and when for all.)

So what happens once one chooses anything in thought, word or deed, that differs w/ what He chooses? They become imperfect, the opposite of Life! So the redemption was "built in from the foundation/beginning"..

Welcome, Larry!  Indeed there is no literal "Hell," for that word cannot be found in the Hebrew or Greek languages.  It comes from the languages of then-pagan north Europe, and specifically, from the name of the Norse goddess of the underworld:  Hel.
