Hi there all,
I pray that you are all keeping well.
I have a question that is quite deep i think. According to genesis our creators were the annunaki.  The Sumerian cuneiform of where the creation story and the flood story came from call the annunaki, 'those who from heaven came down'!  The evidence is very compelling, especially if you read Zecharia Sitchens' work.
My question is, if the annuaki are our gods and Yahweh is one of them, then who does Jesus and St Paul tell us to pray to?
All this blows my mind and faith.
Help, any thoughts please.

1 Tim 2;5 " For there is one God, and ONE mediator between God and people;
                a person, Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, the witness at the proper time."

Matt 23;10 " But you are not to be called teacher, because Christ is your teacher."

There are indeed many heavenly beings, but we are only to come to the One Father because of our secure position due to what Christ did for us.
The annuaki are a spiritual being, were alive before us, Christ came to earth to be below them, like us, for a while, to then be raised above them- we will also be above them like Jesus. So the annukai are not our God.

Look what kind of love the father has given us, that we are allowed to be called the children of God; and such we are!
Why go to someone else when we can come to our true Father?

Amen, they were 'the gods' of the nations and the bible says the sacrifices the nations made to them were to demons.. those rebel angels.. Once light, became dark entities.. They ruled cities and the cities went to war with each other.. (Seems like they were old.. God having waited a long time, not only for the 1st rebel thought but the utter (abys-mal) maturity of it, before creating the universe & man and woman?)

The way the deceiver tells the story the great dragon gods created and sent the serpent gods to enlighten man.. Yahweh was supposedly a mean outlaw god who imprisoned mankind, in Adam and Eve, under his mean and hateful domination.. "when really" the serpent gods said, "be free.. eat the fruit and you too will be like gods and surely it won't cause you to die..."

:Chinscratch: I guess satan&co were successful in getting the 'mean image of God' into the culture, even His culture..

Of course like with legends of the flood (and faint memories of Eve, "the mother of all"?) the handed down memories became embellished. But the account of Moses was "God breathed" as Paul said.. So the Sumerian legends are very interesting in that we can still spy some faint shadows of the actual history.

Like all lands have a flood legend..

The idea of dragon gods, creating serpent gods.. still of course, even if it were true, would not answer the question of origins of the universe and all this life.. :HeartThrob:
:Peace2:

P.S. I've read this is the organized 'satanic' version of Eden..

Can someone please give me actual verses in Genesis, that says this?

I have been reading the Bible, almost since I learned to read, and this is new to me.

Thanks.

The oldest known manuscripts agree with each other 99% of the time.  The scriptures, accurately translated, Spirit revealed - reliable.   Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.  Heb. 12:2

Great question D.  I found marie's post so enlightening because I know so little of this.  I THINK this has to do with the Samaritans' account, which much is a mish-mash of mythology, error, tiny bits of truth, and lies (IMO).  And there are some references in the OT that can be tied into some of this/reference against if one has dug into it and been given understanding.  That's not me.  I just know OTOH some people claim the Genesis account is just a take-off from the Samaritan myths, and try to use that to claim the Bible is false.  So spreading light onto that darkness is a good thing IMO.   :thumbsup:

I know Lazarus had mentioned before that some book and other things made mention on how the Genesis account, up to the Tower of Babel, had been found in many other older cultural accounts. Specifically in the early Chinese history. Would this somewhat be an example of it?
John 1
14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Hebrews 1;6-8 " And when He again introduces the first-born Son into the habitable earth, He says;
                                ' Let ALL God's messengers worship Him!'
                        Even as to the messengers He indeed says,
                                ' Who makes His messengers winds, and His ministers of state a fiery flame;
                         But as to His Son-
                                 ' Your throne, O God, is to times age-abiding, and your sceptre of equity is the sceptre of His kingdom.'

Heb 1;13,14  " But to which of His messengers has he said at any time,
                                ' Sit at my right hand until I make all your enemies a footstool.'
                       Are they not all spirits doing public service, set forth for ministry to them who are about to inherit salvation?"

Also interesting the comment/statement that Jesus makes to Pilate as He is about to be  sentenced;

John 18;36 " Jesus answered,
                                          ' My kingdom is not of this world;
                                            if My kingdom were of this world my subjects would be fighting to prevent Me being handed over
                                            to the Jews;
                                            but as it is My kingdom IS NOT FROM HERE."

John 19;11 " Jesus answered,
                                          ' you would have no authority over Me at all unless it had been given you from above.'

This all seems to be why Paul says to focus on the kingdom above, and not the temporary stuff.
The good news is a proclamation that what is coming is prepared for us; and the enemies try to distract us by our surroundings.
I.M.O the flesh cannot grasp that; only the spirit; hence the struggle between flesh and spirit.
All of this part of the mystery which will only be made known to individuals at their own time. Just like we all have special stories about our conversion, so too will everyone else.

Heb 2;5  " For He has NOT SUBJECTED THE COMING HABITABLE EARTH,
                 of which we are speaking,
                TO MESSENGERS."

...shared 'memories' handed down, taking different forms after the dispersion from Babylon - w/o God helping/inspiring, those fuzzy memories are sure to be embellished..

Like the Sumerian legends, of creation and of a great flood, called "The Epic of Gilgamesh" but in the story he encounters a cyclops.. a good example of human embellishing of accounts handed down through generations..

Years ago when I was reading up on some things, I came across images of the first known and unearthed artifacts. They were of a sort of pocket size torso of a rather stout lady.. I thought, this looks just like what a baby might see under an ancient mother's clothing.. Which made me wonder if all those original "mother Godesses" of so many lands, started out in part as fuzzy memories of Eve, whom Adam called "the mother of all"..

Here's another crazy thought I've had - the flood.. one type of person survived, another did not.. is this what science thinks of as the Neanderthal and Cro-Magnon? The Neanderthal - Cainites - with the marked (prominant?) brow? perished.. disappeared.

Also about the flood, few ppl know that many fossils are found in piles, like washed by a tide.. and fossils are found in the sediment of the flood, which aged all under it, the waters lasting a year. And also answers the question of how sea fossils ended up on top of mountains..

In these late days, many theories not aligning w/ God's Word = "lying signs and visions"? Crafty inventions..? But man's world will/is fading away..
