Hi guys!

I'm Jarson Brenner from Brazil!

I am very happy to be here in this forum where I can talk about this question: Universal Salvation.

I am a member of a very small group of believers in Universal Salvation. We do not have a meeting place and we meet from time to time in parks in the state of São Paulo.

Most of the time we talk only over the internet.

We have long read the articles on the Tentmaker website and it is very gratifying to be able to participate in this forum and talk to you.

Blessings,

Jarson Brenner

Thank you all for the greetings.

I hope to learn a lot here with you to share with my group and with more people interested in learning more about Universal Salvation.

My dream is one day to see this thought become prevalent among Christians.

Amen! We know it will occur, but during this side of life / age, would be great! I do believe more and more are coming to the awareness of the truth of just how Great God is, and all His doings. :cloud9:

Yes! I say to my friends that they don't need to agree with me now because one day in the future all creation will be reconciliated with God!

So they will agree with me in that moment!

I say that Universalism don't need to force people to believe because everyone will be saved in the future. So believing or not this Grace will prevail upon all. Is this correct?

Forgive some error in my text. My mother tongue is Portuguese. I'm still learning to communicate in English.

God Bless,

Hello.  Yes, all will believe.  I believe some will come to faith in Jesus as Savior in this age, so we are given the word of reconciliation now, i.e., spreading the Good News of Jesus saves/is Savior.

"...the saying of the faith, that we preach;  that if you may confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and may believe in your heart that God did raise him out of the dead, you shall be saved, for with the heart does [one] believe to righteousness, and with the mouth is confession made to salvation;  for the Writing says, `Every one who is believing on him shall not be ashamed '..whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, he shall be saved.'

How then shall they call upon [him] in whom they did not believe? and how shall they believe [on him] of whom they did not hear? and how shall they hear apart from one preaching?  and how shall they preach, if they may not be sent? according as it has been written, `How beautiful the feet of those proclaiming good tidings of peace, of those proclaiming good tidings of the good things!'

This is a very beautiful message! I think the world would be a better place if all christians believe in this way! No wars! No discussions about which is the right church!

Only one people! One church! All gathered and considering each other how the son of the Almight God!

Nah, unfortunately people would still find things to war over. Going to war is easier for humans than restraining from going to war.

I believe that one day the bad side of the Creation will be eliminated by the Fire of God.

This is the Universal Reconciliation of all creation with his Creator.

Maybe after this event no more wars will happen. The eternity will begin and the peace will reign forever.

The creation will return to a similar Golden Age like we lived at the Garden of Éden.

What do you think about this?

But I believe this happens in full, after judgment 'day'.. which follows the millennium which begins when Jesus returns.. But at His return, the works of the earth are burned up.. and "they shall beat their weapons into pruning shears"/gardening tools? And Satan&co are all ‘under  lock and key’ during the millennium. And later I think, after the 1000 year millennium, and after Judgment 'Day', then is the fulfilling of the verse in 2(?) Peter, when "the elements, the heavens and the earth will melt with a fervent heat" which I figure is Revelation 21:5 when God "makes all things new and now He will Tabernacle with mankind upon Earth made new" - "And the meek shall inherit the earth and delight their selves in the abundance of peace" ..."the river of life clear as crystal flowing out from the Throne.." I see all that as literal.. "The lion will eat straw like the ox, the bear will graze with the cow" Isaiah 11:7..

How glorious.. "and of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end.." Amen no more using religion for politics and old disputes.. No more seeing differences as a reason to blame/make war.. without needing to be clones of each other! The ethnicities, for instance, are beautiful! Plus their different art forms, crafts and foods.. Life will not be narrower, life will be fuller!
Definitely will be peace, for His law will be written on the hearts and minds, yes? I.e., His character. Love.
:Peace2:

Yeah, it doesn't remotely change what I said. At the moment we have to live in the world now with the 'bad side of creation'. That will change but not till we've all died of it.

What do you think about this?

I think in general that is pretty close. These things are not nailed down in detail, but seen "Through the glass darkly" as Paul said.

I fully agree that the fire of God is purging creation and will be doing so through the revelation of Jesus Christ and His love in this age and the one to come, beyond that the scriptures are not too specific.

I do believe that there is a, as you called it, "Golden Age" to come that is eternal, transcends time, during which God will be all in all and there will be no adversaries or wars of anykind any more. To me this is the fulfillment of all God's plans through the ages.

Here are some verses pertaining to that view.

Ephesians 1:9
With all wisdom and understanding, 9 he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

Romans 8
9 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.

1 Corinthians 15
22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 23 But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. 24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For he "has put everything under his feet." Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. 28 When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

Rev 5:13
Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. 12 In a loud voice they were saying:

"Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength
and honor and glory and praise!"

13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying:

"To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be praise and honor and glory and power,
for ever and ever!"

And BTW, Welcome to Tentmaker :o)

WELCOME, JARSON!!

It is gratifying to see that Universalism is universal!  My country, your country, every country.  Your English is quite good, by the way.  I only recently found out the huge size of the Portugese-speaking part of the world:  big, really big.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus
