Humans from the time we could leave a record of our existence have always seemed to have a need to believe in something greater than themselves.
Over the centuries from the renderings made by early humans to now the ideation of a higher power has gone from natural to very dark.
And coincidentally or not human civilization has too. We create our creators in our image and likeness. We worship what we'd like to be and glorify and fear the worst in ourselves .

Jesus said , the kingdom of heaven is within you. He also said that he and the father are one. I think if you listen to that inner guiding holy spirit that exists in all things created that it will guide you into all truth. And it appears you've come to realize that already. May the love and light of pure eternal power guide your steps all the days of your life.

Which darkness is so totally amazing to have occurred quite often! Canaan was, it seems, extremely mixed up in it. Paul wrote that the 'gods' of the nations were demons, principalities.. Other verses in the Bible mentions a principality of a city preventing travels.. one arguing with an angel over the body of Moses.. glimpses I guess of that dark dimension - that's the sense I believe there are dimensions.. the darkness.. and the Heavenly.

Fortunately, and unfortunately, the human mind / psyche can enter those dimensions. "Seated in heavenly places with Jesus" or in the darkness of dark, less than noble intentions and thoughts. Where I get the sense the principalities are ever seeking to pull folks into by so many various means, of which all of us were once children of.

But the idea of actual human sacrifice! ...and ppl ask how could God make war? (Because right now He's not into open interference? Did that with the flood said He wouldn't again.. So I get the sense for the most part He is letting things / this imperfection, run its course.. all the way to its bitter end? it's unavoidable crashing and burning? apocalypse.. yet that darkness, meanwhile, is a bottomless pit of possibility. An abyss, we've not yet seen the last smoke of yet.. (Rev 9)

He is most definitely not just letting things run their course. The Bible is spectacular record of all the times God has 'interfered' in our history. The Revelation is a record of how He will 'interfere' at the end.

"He who does not love does not know God; for God is love.
"In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.  In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the expiation for our sins." (1 John 4:8-10)

A number of people would say that this looks an awful lot like interference and the Bible doesn't end at the flood (although the flood narrative does and with Noah cursing Canaan which may be why the Canaanites turned out so awful) but of course God interferes. Love demands interference; not just sitting on the sidelines and whistling while the world burns.

That is most certainly not how God operates. He has 'interfered' countless times and continues to do so '"My Father is working still, and I am working."' (John 5:17) not that it's properly called interference that would suggests that the world belongs to us and He has no right butting in. No, it's His world which we are destroying and He has every right to step in whenever He fancies to fix it and keep it on course. It's generous of Him that He doesn't 'interfere' more often.
