How do you fellowship when there is no one around you?

Hi there everyone,

I don't know if i have ever said but i am truly grateful for you all on Tentmaker and that i can fellowship here.
But what do you do if you want to fellowship with people in the flesh and there isn't any believers who believe in the salvation of all?
i live in Essex, England and there are unitarian universalists which i don't wish to go to but no where else that i know of.
Does anyone here live in England or who knows anywhere?

Nancy I am in Scotland near Edinburgh.
I would LOVE to meet fellow UR believers in the flesh, but failing that there is SKYPE and other means?
...I'm up for it if anyone else is...Either in groups or one to one for study time, prayer etc.

I'd LOVE that.  ... It's pretty lonely out here.

Have you ever checked out Methodist churches?
They are usually 'universal' and 'open to all'.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church embraces UR. It is part of their doctrine, now.

You might want to explore them. But I don't know if there are many Lutherans in England.

Oh, and I have a suggestion. Fellowship with people you do volunteer work can be some of the best and most fulfilling fellowships.

Depending on where you live, I would bet that you can find a Christian outreach or ministry that would love your help, and it is a great way to make friends. Whether or not they believe in UR, as long as you are comfortable with them and accepted, you might decide that would be enough. Each has to make their own boundaries and criteria, though.

Nancy, I think you are right about the unitarian universalists.  IMO, them, along with many other organized religious groups have gotten so far away from the truth of scriptures, I'd personally rather be "alone" with God, than partake of their plight.  When you dig into some of the things they allow in their congregations - not just allow, but sanction - the unGodly lifestyles and beliefs they even ordain as their ministers, I personally will pass, and look for other opportunities for fellowship.  Even if it's in passing on the street, in a store, etc.  Trying to share the love of Christ in a daily walk.  Currently I don't, but I'd personally rather (and have, and may again) attend an ET church as long as they don't hammer/major on it;  such as Baptist, Assembly of God, etc. where they truly follow the scriptures as best they understand how, rather than pervert and twist them as many are doing with their "inclusion" and "affirming".   IMO, most of the organized church world is in a mess.  I truly doubt you'll find an organized religion that believes both in UR and in otherwise truly following the teachings of scripture.  I have found that many groups who embrace "universalism" become ultra liberal in other ways, throwing out the baby with the bathwater.  Beginning to ordain those with "alternative lifestyles" and "identities", many (often subtly, not always obvious) questioning things like the necessity of the cross, denying the virgin birth, etc. (in the case of unitarian unis, believe anything or nothing).  I know it gets lonely, but I'd say be glad God has called you out, fellowship if and when He leads you to someone - otherwise, enjoy spending time with Him and seek to draw near to Him.   :2c:

Hi ya Marc555. you live in Scotland, nice to hear from you.  Unfortunately i don't go on sykpe, i'm not even on facebook!
As for unitarianism i try not to judge other peoples lifestyles but i want to learn at church as well as fellowship.
I don't know of any lutheran churches around.
Good point Jabcat, sharing Christs' love is more important and i always try my best to do that.
