33 But whosoeuer shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heauen.

Can anyone explain?

Hi Chester! I think it's very true! But it does not say 'forever'. Or that there is never reconciliation. Knowing He is Father, I think, makes all the difference. Doers of wickedness, for example, not yet repentant, forgiven, with feet upon "the way", they will reap as they have sown. But, surely? Not forever. According to the parable of the prodigal Son.. how God is Love.. His mercy is forever (always) ..And of course verses like 1 Tim. 4:10 " God is the savior of all" and how Jesus said He would draw all to Him, Jn 12:32. And how "every tongue will wholeheartedly confess Jesus is Lord" Philippians 2:11, taking into account, the Greek.

But most of all, I always think any judgment, any correction is not 'forever'. It's not really in God's Word. "God is love." .."Love never fails."
 :Peace2:

32 So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, 33 but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.

In the interlinear, the word "acknowledge" is defined as "to speak the same, to agree" and the word deny is defined as "to deny, say no"

No hint of forever...

To me it seems to state the obvious:

If we agree with Jesus he agrees with us,
If we don't agree with Jesus he doesn't agree with us.

I think it could also be called , not ashamed of the gospel  . Jesus  Christ  is the good news  and the start of something wonderful!!

Romans 1  16I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, then to the Greek. 17 For the gospel reveals the righteousness of God that comes by faith from start to finish, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."...

Here are other scriptures to compare  with .

Luke 12:8
I tell you, everyone who confesses Me before men, the Son of Man will also confess him before the angels of God.

Luke 15:10
In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God's angels over one sinner who repents."

Romans 10:9
that if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Revelation 3:5
Like them, the one who is victorious will be clothed in white garments. And I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but I will confess his name before My Father and His angels.
Jesus is the reward  !!
