He mentions tentmaker site in this review. i'm looking for people to refute any of the arguments he has against universal salvation or defend Nancy if you are familiar with her teachings or what you think about Nancy's views on us being in the kingdom age, the ascension or any of her other controversial ideas. I think her getting the crowd to cover on eye and then say "I will..." is a little strange since the one eye things seems to be from the dark side.

If you don't want to read all my comments as I read, basically the arguments against UR don't hold water! But I found the gal's preaching a bit weird.. which to me doesn't help the cause.. but  :dontknow: maybe some folks need that sort of thing? Kind of it's all about me.. for a while..?

Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'  And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' (Matthew 7:21-23)

The Page Says:
"Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons (1 Tim 4:1)" - "Latter times" began even in Paul's day..

"The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan....with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie (2 Thess 2:9-11)" - I know everyone looks for miracles but I think more in the line of modern marvels and wonders, a different sort of 'miracles'.. I don't know what the thought is, but I'm convinced this is the very strong delusion called theory of evolution, etc.. which is even in many churches undermining truth there as well as in the world -  Western civilization, once called 'Christendom' to fall away from the faith.. And I think of 'hell' as a strong delusion too.. which is a cause of the evolution one! (imo)

"But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction (2 Peter 2:1)" -this is often thought of as referring to very 'last' days, but he's actually talking about after his own "departure". Same with some others..  :Chinscratch: makes me more sure than ever that big twists of scripture occurred early on..

"The solution – sound doctrine, love, testing the spirits and correction

The solution to the opposition is believing sound doctrine from scripture, love that rejoices in the truth, testing the spirits through scripture and the gifts of the Spirit, and correction."
I ab-s0-lutely agree with that!!  :iagree: :iagree:

"Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus (2 Tim 1:13)
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Tim 2:15)

Test all things; hold fast what is good.  Abstain from every form of evil (1 Thess 5:21-22).
If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness....From such withdraw yourself (1 Tim 6:3, 5)
But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,  and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Tim 3:14-16)
Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching (2 Tim 4:2)."

:iagree: :iagree: If U.R. should let loose of the scriptures, or of Jesus.. both called Logos.. Like anything else, it will shipwreck. (And will be like wind.. a clanging bong..)

The video - I'm not much into leaders.. but hopefully I won't prejudge.. though I'm not much into yelling either, but you know, each to their own. First thing I noticed though that I would disagree with scripturally is when she says we who believe now, will be co-creators with Him.. I believe that's a bit of a run w/ the scriptures.. (I mean we humans are so easily flattered, it appeals to the carnal character/the flesh, as does being a great leader? :dontknow: )

Well, it's not my cup of tea.. some folks may need it for a bit.. but to me it goes back to days of "it's all about me". Everything referring back to moi.. I'm not that great.. in no time at all great boredom! :laughing7:

But what he's concerned with is - "Thus saith the Lord, when this happens the whole earth will fall on their knees and give their lives to Jesus in one day".
 I don't think - on Judgment 'Day' that "all" will fall happily on their knees in one day! But I do believe very, very many will! Why not? (Do we reaLLy believe God would demand a choice, before they have all the information needed to make that choice? gasp!!)

If that isn't a form of universalism, known as Christian Universalism, then what is it?

Nancy denied she believes universalism because she incorrectly claims universalism teaches that you don't need to believe in Jesus to be saved and that it teaches that hell does not exist.

Amen!! No one will be saved apart from Jesus. "All things.. being gathered into Jesus.." That's why, as we know, it's Christian Universalism.

The quotation above clearly shows she claims everyone will believe in Jesus and thus everyone will be saved.

   Is he implying that would be a bAd thing?

She calls this the "restoration of all things", but this is a complete misuse of the Biblical phrase "restoration of all things".

Well.. I didn't read much more.. but I have to wonder what his idea of the "restoration of all things" is.   :Chinscratch: A study on that would definitely be interesting and a blessing!

In fact most Christian Universalists believe in hell, but believe that it restores and purifies.  Nancy clarified in Horsham on 21 July that she believes in hell but that hell comes to an end, that God is the all consuming fire and we either burn here [presumably on earth] or burn there [presumably in hell] and that burning is purification and brings about perfection. This is a very common view of Christian Universalism as described in many Christian Universalist websites such as https://christianuniversalist.org/about/beliefs/universal-salvation/ and http://www.tentmaker.org/universalism.htm.

    :happyclap: :happyclap: :hithere: :trampoline:

She clearly believes the Christian Universalist view of hell as defined here: http://rethinkinghell.com/forum/2-general-discussion/1689-steve-gregg-three-views-of-hell-book

Looks like a book about three main views of 'hell'....? [Sounds interesting to me! ]

I've actually yet to come across any human being who is 100% correct in their view.. and since that includes me.. well, that gets a little twilight zone.. I mean how do I know what's correct and what's not? (Thy Word is Truth! :cloud9: )

But there's - for me - too much weirdness in her preaching.. and the ppl's reactions.. but I'm a very down to earth sort of person.. maybe other folks like yelling and jumping around.. But I tend to think it gives us a bad rap..?
:Peace2:
