For quite some time I have been telling a fundamentalist that believes in eternal hell , fire and damnation why there is no eternal
hell. however this man is serving under such an arrogant boastful and controlling spirit that is very uncomfortable to be to be near, a most repelling feeling that is hard to bare and IT finally pushes at me to where I just want out of the presence of this arrogant controlling spirit.
It is difficult for me also because this man is a close extended family member
and is over 22 years my junior.
Has anyone here ever experienced such a repulsion so sttong you just wanted to get away from it?

If in this life only we have hope in Christ we are of all men most miserable.

Challenging when looking at the family.
Prophecy says in the end times there will be divisions in families; probably the different beliefs.
I used to be in spiritual warfare years ago, alongside my brother.
I remember we were having a prayer time and I prayed something which felt meaningful;
He warned me that I was praying with something he did not recognise. He is still in that stuff- I am free.
Christ sets us free; be encouraged that at his time he will be corrected- you now are protected.
Just your presence will be enough- do not PLAN anything- rely on God- if you are to say anything it will be Christ through you, not you.
Paul makes that observation ;1 Cor 15;10 " Yet not I but the grace of God that is with me."
Getting closer to the return of Christ will stimulate all sorts of experiences.
Fellow brother in Christ

yes...at times

  Yes , Brother
I did , leave  such a one   I was sitting  under   for a few years  . a member of  my hubbys  family .
He was  judinging in ignorance   and the Lord spoke to my heart  asking  , Do you believe this ? I said No Lord ,  you can save anyone at any time  you want , You are the LORD  !!!.
and the question was asked to me , Than  why are you here ?

I was in silence , I had no answer for the Lord  , but questioned  my motives ?
Was it to be seen of men  ?    was it to  be like   this preacher  ?

Why was I there  ?

I got up and  left that place  and returned once  many years later   after another member had been   given  a testimony   from  dying and being revived   and thanking God for this .

It was  with mixed signals   speaking  both life and death  as I saw  it  , my own  opinion  , they were still under   the old covenant law of sin and death   and could not rise above it
Still as prisoners and slaves   by preaching Christ and yet not fully  delivered from the body of death  yet . nor am I for this matter , So  who is better off  than anyone else is  overcoming  the world and all that is in it ? ,  It keeps us humble brother needing more and more of Jesus  Christ / Truth  manifested in our lives to the end .

I am comforted in knowing   they will be  , Because God   says so .

I love them and still pray for them   all

Love is a greater   power  to overcome the world than fear is .

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom  that everyone  should  experience   first ,

but as we grow in truth and grace it should be  complete LOVE  that   has the total victory over deaths power  and fear is cast out of us more and more as we see the  Light becoming  much brighter  to us all  ,

This is how we will know God is  working  in all our lives as the doubting is being   removed by total faith in Him  to do as He promised to do    :2c:  .

Do not give up or into it   , the world as we see it  now , God is still working on us all ...

We  all  are waiting on the Lord  to fulfill all things  ,as we  excitedly do as we are told  to do  and rest in Him and be at peace with everything  going on as Gods plan is  set in motion  , we wait patiently  for the end results .

Keep being thankful and  hopeful   that God is in total control  of everything  completely  , our confidence  is in Him  and not of ourselves  ... :HeartThrob:
Jesus is the reward  !!

I have a cousin who believes basically everyone is going to hell except a tiny fraction of specific Christians believing the right thing.

We initially bonded over our Christian beliefs as adults (most if not all of our cousins are atheist or agnostic) but I became uncomfortable after a while because she often brings up how all of the "unsaved" are going to hell etc. even after family members die she will say they are in hell.

When I first believed in UR I stupidly thought I could share it with others and they would be released from the fear and lies that I was released from upon believing. Wrong! Every Christian other than my mom that I told immediately rejected the idea, even with scripture support. Every atheist/agnostic I told basically was happy I didn't think they were going to hell forever and that was the extent of it.

I now don't really share. I don't feel called to. With my cousin, when she brings up hell I just simply say something like "I believe differently from u on this" or "I have faith that God will make it all work out."  I do feel some sort of icky recoiling during these conversations.

While I don't share, I do pray for others like Rosie says. I think that is important.

GIL not even Jesus and his Apostles were able to convince all. Most suffered voilence for telling the truth.
And that wasn't because they were wrong or weren't good with words.

The road is narrow, and only a few find it....
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

Sometimes trapping people with their own words is more effective than sharing. But you might have to be patient. (or steer things a bit)

Example, if your cousin says Moses was a great man that kept all laws, was good at praying and did all sort of things God commanded him to do. Just agree after a bit say: "Yeah he was a fairly good man, pity he's in hell now because he never believed Jesus rose from the dead."

Or when your cousin says it's good to be a friend of God: "I think that does no good because God called Abraham his friend, but sent him to hell anyway because Abraham didn't pray to Jesus."

The 'Wishmaster' series of movies might learn you such things...  :URWelcome:

Not lately I haven't.. though there are times talking about certain things, or world affairs, I get a real cold feeling.. chilled.. And I have felt times when things were going on when it felt like violence could so easily break out.. and again with the cold feeling.. I do try to remember to regularly order dark spirits away, any time I think they are around.. I do think they come around a lot.. Obviously, it seems, one has gotten hold of your family member.. makes it tough. In such cases, I try to remember to pray before seeing them, before family functions, etc.. and maybe order dark forces away if led to..

It used to be if I found myself in a very irritable mood - which still can happen once in a while - I would remember a line I read in a book about the character "being in the grip of a foul spirit"! No better time to do some ordering away, but especially to submit myself to He whom we follow.. In my warfare days with my own demons (as the saying goes) there were times I felt as though I was being beat over the head and shoulders with a spiritual two by four.. I've always been a lone Christian, in those days I found myself wishing I had folks I could ask to pray! But.. the Lord helped me..

I guess that's about the extent of my experiences. I can definitely relate to the feeling.. :Peace2:
