the tares are key?

Lately I've been thinking, if we understand that the tares gathered into bundles to be burned has nothing at all to do with 'hell' nor lake of fire - said to occur at His return when He also gathers His wheat into His barn - Wait, first let me say, I know there are metaphorical understandings of this.. This is an addition to I would say - If we understand that the tares are "gathered to Armageddon" it puts two things in place. Like a puzzle piece which fits into two different puzzles. Which is of course, all the same puzzle..

Being a key to prophecy/culmination of history, also to an attribute of God - showing us the wrath of God -  which occurs at Jesus' return, is the results and consequences of man's own doings! [Allowed/preordained by God of course.] Yet man's doings, not God's 'rage' because it's the gathering to Armageddon. See how this shows us two things? The wrath is not God's 'rage'.. And Armageddon is not (likely?) random fire from heaven (as supposed rage and hatred of God coming down. "Love thy enemies"!)!

I think it's important to understand all the word of God in order to make sense to other christians when talking about CU/UR, including what's called latter day prophecy. (Any thing like dreams, visions, etc to convince of UR, or strange contortions of verses, heaven forbid, will only alienate. Imo?)

And of atheists - who I think are in a struggle with God.. but the "good news" doesn't sound that good or make that much sense I think to them.. And that's their big question, I think, having to do with the 'wrath' of God.. and things like hell..

I do not believe the verses are saying when Jesus returns the tares (unbelievers, goats) will be gathered and thrown into hell where they will languish in agony and torment being burned alive forever and ever. - But this is the message the world is getting..

  I read this twice , I have always seen tares  as  [carnal thoughts ]
  We know that  the carnal mind is an Enemy against the Sprint.
  I know God is a Spirit and a consuming fire  .
    To me the carnal mind is what fears God  , my own carnal  mind  feared anything I could not understand  of GOD 
  Reading the bible was like reading in a foreign language  all my  life , till one day  in my twenties   there was a turning point ,
a wow moment and  a light  shined though it   , it could be expressed like  a lightning     bolt    though a storm  when everything  is darkened and scary /uncertain  of what to expect .
with cloud coverage  and rain  , noise of thunder,  etc.

I believe in metaphoric  language  , Jesus compared His Kingdom often to  comparisons of earthy things .
   Being a lower form of  glory to express the higher form  spiritual   glory .Greek doxa "expectation"

  I thought instantly of the  3  and the 4th like the son of man in the fire  in Daniel   , and not a   singe   to their mortal   being was  harmed   in that fire as it seems God was with them  though it all .

Those are the kind of things that  make a difference   in understanding them   with  one mind   it makes no earthly sense at all and seems like foolishness  to believe in .
  Yet in the Spiritual  mind   you can see   , man s ways are ''like a fire ''  to  do harm to others ..... James 4

  But God says   the second death cannot harm you ...   what can  man do to me  ? destroy the  earthly body yes .. ,   a being    that is of Spirit  in Gods likeness and image   cannot be  destroyed by  any earthly element .

I just think most do not know their true nature and potential   of being born again of the Spirit of Life itself .. 
  and it takes  practice  and comparing  both natures  often and of course discerning spirits  and even knowing what manner of spirit we are of   the one of pride is the most influential in religious   circles and the most deadly  because it is the false  image  the beast /carnal mind worships    most often  not knowing any better  .

Jesus said forgiven them Father they do not know what they are doing      on that Cross  ,  if they had known  they would NOT have crucified the Lord of Glory , to me it goes right back to the beginning in genesis  ,

How one handles the Word of Life .... that simple   and profound  in meaning .. Careful how we handle the Word of Life    would be with Love  , not force , the wrath of man has never worked the righteousness of God from the  beginning ... 

you cannot force  people to love  anything .. GOD knows . For me ,this is why we experience the   suffering for doing good and evil  in this very short   , corruptible  condition  called life , but is it really living  to its full potential ?

We have to ask ourselves   is this all there is ?
That starts the ball a rolling  to me and the cogs a turning  ...and the fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom , but the end is  perfect Love  ..

For me  , I have come to the conclusion   of two things  GODS WORD  speaks ,    this short life of being carnally minded  [ is the Esau''hairy man ''  I have hated ]  and Jacob I have  loved [  smooth skinned man ]  the vanity of all of humanity is subjected too .   
  The wrath of God is  abiding on the disobedient  ones naturally  ,  those carnal thoughts   and earthly and sensual and devilish things  are temporary  [ missing the mark /sin]    of Gods calling to rise up  higher   with Him   in the air / spirit breath of Life   up out of the death mode   thinking  of survival at all costs   to the sacrifice of others for greedy gain  and self satiating 
satisfaction  of desires ...not considering   God or man or anything but self preservation    .


I think missing the mark applies to us all  the beginning because God is so fair to us all  in the being subjected to  corruption and vanity and  earthly glory .

  But we find  that asking and seeking and knocking   for the HOLY  SPIRIT   & fire  to come   is what will complete us  , that seal of approval from God is our sign    of  true  believers   and the only one given , because the WORD /seed in us is judging us all   if it be dead or alive  within us  doing the  greater works  promised   of God to those whom are  called   out of the world ...

  :thumbsup: :gsmile: The Word (Truth) of God is so amazing.. Like the parable.. "treasure new and old"! Packed full of meaning and magic! Yet is a message a small child can easily understand! And in today's "babble" of ideas world, that's refreshing.

Good old logic and straight forward message that God is light, love and a third L, life itself.

And 3 R's! ( :laughing7: sorry i'm partial to 'formulas') how "all" will be resurrected, all will repent, and all will be reconciled to God, their names written in the Book of Life.

I am afraid  it is missing the mark ,   that creates tares   sown by   the devil in the night / darkness while  Adam/mankind  is sleeping Matt 13 24Jesus presented another parable to them: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25But while everyone was asleep, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and slipped away. 26When the wheat sprouted and bore grain, then the weeds also appeared....

  Where in the Bible does it ever say  Adam/mankind  woke up from the deep sleep God  placed upon him while  creating Eve and pulling her out from among  his  side ?   What if it is until  Adam/mankind  hears Gods voice will he live again , Jesus CHRIST IS   GODS MOUTH PIECE   ''VOICE '' speaking on Gods behalf 

We  remember it is Eve  that was deceived  not Adam 2 Corinthians 11:3
I am afraid, however, that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may be led astray from your simple and pure devotion to Christ.   
So what is Eve but  your minds sub conscience ?  help meet, a helpful companion?  What God had joined together let no one  divide , right ?

  But though trickery  was deception /by corruption conceived  and tares formed in our minds

Being that the LORD himself says  He will make a new heaven and earth    without corruption  , the realm of corruption is done away with entirely  [ the incorruptible seed of Life  is the WORD OF GOD ] ..   God is a Spirit   and consuming fire  that melts the elements [tares gathered to be burned  is a wonderful thing , like evil thoughts  are consumed by Him  so truth remains  ]  , not a literal fire , nor literal  wind /spirit  but we can see this literally  in the natural  realm when a wild fire consumes  everything  in its path when  a wind is  blowing  and the root system in the earth  is left  to grow new shoots  that can bring  new  growth and seeds of its own kind  trees  .

But in the wheat fields it is different  , Jesus is that winnowing fan on the threshing floor   that fires/kindles  the flames   dissolves the tares   and Adam /mankind would eat bread by the sweat of his brow  , this is laboring continually  and was not guaranteed to  make food  to be consumed but bring briers and thorns  , tares   as well as  food for thought  mixed  evil /bad ,corrupt  & good/incorruptible  . that must be separated by Gods Word  of truth  to be made pure

When the LORD  Jesus Christ is lifted up  from  out of the earth  He [WORD OF GOD ]incorruptible   is drawing all unto Him , remember He is both the LORD of the dead and the living , ALL will live because of Him ..The heads were white for harvest ] the wheat fields  are the good grain gathered for the bread of heaven and  wheat gathered into His barn   as an endless supply   to fill the spiritually hungry  with  the bread of Life  continually .
 
I hope to explain  this with  simple clarity   as Shelia   helped   with the above post and Marie also touched on  being the WORD OF GOD /  as food for thought    as the bread from heaven  , that wheat  is used  from making bread  and the tares  are useless and a nuisance  that is to be burned  to stop the  noxious harmful, poisonous, or very unpleasant. seeds from spreading

I just want to consider this part  so far , Jesus being the Bread of Heaven was going to have them buy of Him the TRUTH ,  Word of Life /bread of heaven without cost  to fill them  needy souls /lives with   His  holy self   for them to consume  , but they had to sit down  at his feet first  to learn  of Him    and notice   the plenty of grass / is plenty of fleshly minded men to  deal with  in that moment  that Jesus was  bearing  with them   For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower there of falls away:

The word, flesh, shows the weakness of our nature, which is chiefly to be considered in the flesh itself  as a glory that fades  and falls away  and dies  in due time . but Jesus was fixing to make them  apart of His new creation   that never dies  :HeartThrob:

11Then Jesus took the loaves and the fish, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted.

12And when everyone was full, He said to His disciples, "Gather the pieces that are left over so that nothing will be wasted." 13So they collected them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten.

15 Realizing they were about to come and make Him king by force, Jesus withdrew again to a mountain by Himself.

They still were  carnal men wanting an earthly king  and would do this by force , not Love ,  having just started  and had not been perfected in Love /God  yet . but Jesus  bears with us and  deals with us with great long suffering   in patience  and all the good and  holy things  that last unto perfection / completeness   in HIM .

I just want to point out all the exciting things the Word of God  clarifies   for us making  us able to see  crystal clear when it was such a dark  and muddled mirror   we gazed though at first  ...

  He truly does give the increase of truth  and grace    to set us free  , if we are willing to  sit down  , wait on the LORD , rest   in hope and sit at His feet and be taught of Him   and be filled with His bread of heaven    and drink His blood  / new wine   to the full  as His works of righteousness in the earth   destroy   the evil , tares  , briers  &  thorns  etc  dead works of our own hands   as HIS BEAUTY   GLORIFIES   THE FATHER  by making all things new    ,a new heaven and earth  ,  that never ever dies  ..

In what I have come to understand, ..... the greatest outcome, whether it be 100% or "all in all" which are both the same truth seen in different ways (as a number or words) ..... the greatest outcome has to become the foundation upon which everything else has to line up with (be built), and when we "have faith" (being convinced) IN that greatest outcome, God then begins to align everything else in Scripture to that lofty outcome from that firm foundation in believing that outcome through faith ... constantly being reassured BY (that aligning of) Scripture THROUGH His Spirit which results in a "greater faith".

Our beginning of understanding (in the physical) and our end of understanding (in the Spiritual) always remains the same; remains constant, and when all Scripture lines up between these two points it becomes a perfectly straight line (path) and when all is said and done and "the mark" of "all in all" has been reached through God's works (work-man-ships/us), we can't even imagine what God has in store for us after that

This is just part of what I see in Day One of Genesis with the two terms "to be lofty" (translated as Heaven) and "to be firm" (translated as earth) ..... "all in all" is "to be lofty" (our Heaven) ... lofty being the greatest outcome

AND

"all in all" is also "to be firm" (our earth), our foundation .... firm (foundation) also being the greatest outcome .....

The words translated as Heaven and earth are a starting point of understanding, because everything God says is "lofty" and is also "firm" and everything He does is "lofty" and is also "firm" in which when we move into Day Two we can easily discern what is from above and what is from below and then when we move into Day Three "the dry appears" and what I see in that is "a dry understanding of death" ...... a dry understanding of death is seeing it only as an end, but by the renewing of the mind, death is no longer an end ... it becomes just a point of transference into Life .... it no longer has a sting

We each have pieces to the mystery (puzzle) and when God brings us together (here) we each show what pieces we have and seeing them and examining the pieces others have, we find that they fit perfectly in our puzzle, revealing a clearer picture of what can still remain a mystery to others

It is like putting a puzzle together upside down on a glass table ... in our own understandings we can easily draw our own picture on the back depicting two different outcomes for mankind (heaven and hell), but it isn't until we are brought to our knees can we see the true picture of ONE outcome for mankind from below the table through the glass; THROUGH HIS SPIRIT

I'm just joking around. You made some good points back there. Your emphasis of dryness and renewal got me thinking. When our foundation is "shaky" and "broken,"  everything that we put on top of that foundation will fall and break. In the same fashion, our foundation is our interpretive lenses to which we view everything else. Have a bad foundation, everything else will appear "dry" and not nourished. With the right foundation, everything else will give understanding, and the Water of Life will flow freely down to those who drink it; and be nourished and renewed, in Body, Soul, and Spirit.

We all have two natures   that war within , it is the inner man being renewed day by day that  is strengthened  by faith in GOD 
and inherits  the promises of God , Jesus said believe in God believe also in me . 

The Spirit of God without the Word of God  can do nothing [void ] Both are living works to believe in[have faith in the Father & the Son ] working within  you  , is not the Spirit  blowing the Word forth  as  incorruptible seeds to be planted  in our hearts and  change us from the start as the old man Adam is perishing .


One day is in Adam = death[in the Day you eat of that tree you shall surly die ]  He was dying  the whole 930 years and it still was not a full Day  in Gods sight , because if   a Day is 1000 years   in Gods sight  , He did shorten the days of mankind  to 70 , a breath of Life  , by His Son [Love ]  because of righteousness  in the earth  , that they would NOT suffer  in this  corruptible state  of evil   [age of  Satan walking the earth seeking to devour ''the man child '' has a short time ] nor the SPIRIT of God  could fail   us .,   but is by grace we are saved it is the gift of God .  we can rest in hope now !, because Jesus Christ is our hope  and Sabbath DAY  rest [ Hebrews 4] we can enter though Him opening heaven for us [ the higher  realm of Love , Light and Life   while we remain in earthly bodies /  temporary tents ..

One day is in Christ = Life   , the Day of the Lord and  the  last DAY ,  being that  7th  day  rest  we enter heaven  /the throne of God
once the laboring stops , birthing the son / man child  [ before the throne of God Rev 12 ]   and the   greater  works  follows   because Jesus Christ  being the WORD OF GOD  IS  sitting at the right hand of the Father   now  as the  HOLY SPIRIT bears witness to us  in our earth   and convicting   , and chastening and  comforting us  whom are experiencing   Gods  glory in the earth .

Heaven is my Throne [the throne of grace   we boldly  go before Him  ]  and the earth is my footstool .

Could you tell me why the Lord says that he will make his enemies a foot stool?
 
and   we have  elsewhere the earth is his foot stool (Hebrews 1:13 and Isaiah 66:1)

From a literalist pov the tares are defined by these verses and they are exclusively yje Gentiles that Jesus kills on the same day He returns.

M't:13:41:
The Son of man shall send forth his angels,
and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend,
and them which do iniquity;

Some are gathered for the supper that He gives to the birds and beasts as 'payback' for the ones from their groups that were killed as a sacrifice that was needed because of Adam's sin.

M't:24:40:
Then shall two be in the field;
the one shall be taken,
and the other left.
M't:24:41:
Two women shall be grinding at the mill;
the one shall be taken,
and the other left.

M't:24:28:
For wheresoever the carcase is,
there will the eagles be gathered together.

Re:19:17:
And I saw an angel standing in the sun;
and he cried with a loud voice,
saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven,
Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

The majority of unrepentant Gentiles die where they stand and the fact their bones are not buried is actually a good thing as Eze:39 shows an unpleasant fate for the bones that are gathered and buried in a specific place.

Zec:14:12:

It should be noted that going to the grave covers all sins so when the (former) tares are resurrected at the GWT event they are sinless rather than they are still look on as being the sinners they were when they died. (Job:14)
