Matthew 12:31-"Therefore * I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven.
Matthew 12:32-"Whoever * speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever * speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.

Matthew 12:31 links with verse 32 with the conjunction και(and). Here are some questions:

1.In verse 31 it mentions blasphemy(βλασφημια)against the Spirit and in verse 32 it mentions speaks against(ειπη κατα)are these two different since the conjunction has one verse saying one thing and another verse saying another?
2.Why would Jesus use βλασφημια in verse 31 and ειπη κατα in verse 32 if they mean the same thing? Why not use one or the other? Jesus wouldn't repeat himself if he uses the and(και)conjunction.
3.If they are different types of insults against the Spirit does both verses tie into "in this age or in the age to come"?

Good question. Not sure Jesus sees it this way but this is my view.

Blasphemy for me is like insulting the HS. Like saying Jesus' power of casting out demons is satanic-power instead of HS-power.

Speak against is, I think, a milder form.
Let's assume the HS said celebrating Christmas isn't a good thing to do.
Then someone replies: I think it's fine if I  do <...>, but not <...>.

So, direct insults vs watering down the word (knowingly)

I recall studying this years ago and stumbled upon a meaning from the Vulgate that said that blasphemy in the verse meant to "hold cheap".  It left an impression on me that essentially what it means is Defamation.  So when we hold God or His Spirit or Power to be of less than what it is then we commit Defamation.  To "speak against" would be in my opinion to be in opposition to. 

So if one truly understands what the Holy Spirit is then this should be simple to understand.  We must have the Holy Spirit to be saved.  If one defames it or speaks against it then they cannot possess it until they learn to embrace and understand it.

So now let's understand what the Holy Spirit is and what  it isn't.  First what it is NOT.  The Holy Spirit is not a third person of a Trinity.  There is no such word Trinity or its understanding in your Bible. 

The Holy Spirit is the very BEING of the Father Himself.  Ask yourself this - is the Father a Spirit?  Is the Father Holy?  Yes, and Yes.  the Holy Spirit is His BEING.  You have a spirit also.  It is what makes You - You.  Read that again, it is what makes You - You.

1Co 2:11  For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 

Now do we have another "person' inside us?  No, that spirit in that verse that man has is our BEING. God's Being (The Father) is the Holy Spirit. 

Consider the flesh (which is a type of the Spirit - see Clement).  You get your flesh from your parents.  You appear in likeness by the flesh to your parents.  It is a type of the Spirit.  We get the BEING of who we are as Children of God by putting on His Being.  To do that, we must displace our Being.  Therefore, our BEING must die by the putting on of His BEING (Holy Spirit).  This is what defines us as His.

Gal_4:6  And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

So we obviously cannot PUT on that Spirit unless we BELIEVE in it. Therefore, if we defame that Spirit or oppose it then we cannot become the Children of God. 

The Goodness of God will eventually lead all to no longer oppose Him and by Knowledge of Him will others learn to not defame Him in due time.
