Corinthians 13:1 says "...In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established."

I realize the history of (the current) CU 'movement'(? i'm lacking another word and I guess that's what it is, God's Spirit moving..) would be a good history to know.

I don't know it much, as I don't read much things about God's Word.. except lately am reading a lot of bible hub list of commentary's and bible app commentary. (UR history  start with J Ebby?)

This verse struck me today when reading it, now that I really do read the scriptures as being Christian Universalist. There is certainly more than two and three witnesses to the strong conviction that the scripture (and God's nature!) is Universalist! There's more and more UR / CU groups on Facebook, for instance, some solid scripture based and supported, but also some more on ppl' ideas, many things being still mystery, some even contradicts God's Word..

But still, tho some are growing to scripture knowledge - in refuting the negative gospel, they think that they are now at odds with God's word. When it's still true God's Word is inerrant.. but as we know translators are not.

But whatever goes on, that's a lot of folks strongly convinced in heart and mind that God is happy and quite able to redeem and reconcile all.

But wait, there's more!

Deu 17:6 At the mouth of two witnesses or three witnesses, the one about to die shall be put to death. He shall not be put to death at the mouth of one witness.

Deu 19:15 A single witness shall not rise against a man regarding any depravity or any sin. In any sin which one may sin, the matter shall be confirmed at the mouth of two witnesses or at the mouth of three witnesses.

Mat 18:16 Yet if ever he should not be hearing, take still one or two others along with you, that at the mouth of two witnesses, or of three, every declaration may be made to stand.

Mat 26:60 and they found it not. At many false witnesses approaching, they found it not. Yet subsequently two false witnesses, approaching

2Co 13:1 Lo! This is the third time I am coming to you. At the mouth of two witnesses, and three, shall every declaration be made to stand.

1Ti 5:19 Against an elder do not assent to an accusation outside and except before two or three witnesses.

Heb 10:28 Anyone repudiating Moses' law is dying without pity on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

Rev 11:3 And I will be endowing My two witnesses and they will be prophesying a thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.

Amo 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

Just noting, one witness is not enough. Two is minimum required, and three or more makes them merrier. But, even only two witnesses for a Scriptural truth does not make it any less true.
John 1
14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

And Jesus said that Two Swords was enough!

Also, we are given Two Tablets of Stone on which is the Testimony (Witness)

Also, Jesus the Apostles were sent by TWOs to preach.

Additionally, we read about the Two Witnesses in the Book of Revelation or the Two Olive Trees in Zachariah.

What do you suppose this means?

We also read that the Sword is the Spirit of God.  Could it be that Two with the Spirit of God are enough to put someone to Spiritual Death to slay the "old man" inside them so they could live anew in Christ?  But that were the case it would mean the Apostles were sent to preach Life through also spiritual destroying the enemies of Christ by using the Spiritual Word of God.

Just thought of a couple more...

Marriage(Bride and Groom)
Natural and Spiritual
Tree of Life and Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil
Fruit with Good and Evil

There are more I know I am missing. Maybe others can think of more?
