Hello Everyone,

I came across the Tentmaker's website when I goggled "Hell" a few months ago. I've had serious doubts & concerns about the topic of "eternal punishment" of billions of people by such a loving heavenly Father since childhood 30 years ago. I've been a follower of our Lord Jesus Christ for about 20 years, and the concept of "Hell" has always rubbed me the wrong way. So for the last 6 months I've really made finding out the truth about hell, the afterlife and the fate of all the unbelievers of the world my top priority. I've learned alot and am hungry for more. Any helpful web links or book titles would be greatly appreciated.

Blessings to all.

Your brother in Christ,

Frank

Hi there Bro. Frank, and welcome to the Tent. Two of the finest works regarding the Restitution of all things are the following....

Christ Triumphant by Thomas Allin

HERE

The Second Death & The Restitution Of All Things -Andrew Jukes-

HERE
Are our broadest hopes broad enough? Shall there be a nook or abyss, in all the universe of God, finally unlightened by the Cross? Shall there be a sin, or sorrow, or pain unhealed? Is the very universe, is creation in all its extent, a field wide enough for the Son of God?

Hi Frank. Glad you are doubting the one doctrine that has led the most amount of humans away from Jesus. I haven't been on this forum in a while, but I came on here today and saw your post. I'm right next door from you - RI. God powerfully and supernaturally showed me the love and grace of God through Jesus' work on the cross at the age of 23 in 91. In 97', God powerfully and supernaturally showed me  "the larger hope" - Universal Reconciliation through Jesus' work on the cross. You are on the right track. Study aion, aionios, olam, gehenna, hades, sheol, and tartarus and you will see what the original language manuscripts of the bible really teach. God bless you.

Hey, and welcome.  We just did a study tonight during our home gathering on the greek work apollumi, from which come many of our English "uh oh, here comes hell" words.  As I understand, words like 'perish', 'destroy/destruction' and 'lost' comes from this word...such as the lost coin, the lost sheep and the lost prodigal son....we can take heart in this, because they were all lost to be found/returned, and things (flesh, so that the soul might be saved) destroyed to be re-shaped, re-formed, made into a different, better image...the potter (our loving Father) crushed, broke the unfit vessel, so He could remake it as He wanted it (us)...go gladly through His fire, knowing we come out the other side purified and presentable...God's blessing.

Hi Frank,

I think this site is the best place to learn about Universal Reconciliation.  If you go to the wiki entry,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_reconciliation , Tentmaker is now the no 1 external link!

The scripture based arguments you can also get to from the wiki link are worth looking at to.
