I know it's been years now, since off and on I would see gospel music singer Guy Penrod, singing on TV. I always enjoyed that. :-) Then last Friday night, my oldest Sis and I, we watched him on TV. Good program and singing. :-) I was shocked when Sis said he was supposed to be singing soon, some places in our area of the country! And she asked me to look that up online and see where those places were? Did that and was shocked to see Guy Penrod would be at a Baptist church, maybe 25 or 30 miles down the road from us. And that coming up, on this last Sunday night. Sis called them yesterday/Sunday evening and found out the program started at 6pm.  So, we had to hurry and get ready and get down there! (ha)  Not 100% sure on this; but I think it was three sons of Guy Penrod, who made up the band. Two on guitar and one on a piano. They sure were good and I'm really glad we got to go see them. :-)

Before the program started, I went through some doors and saw those three boys, in a room by themself. Then about an hour into the program, they took a rest break and went with their Dad Guy, to that same room. I had written the name of tentmaker.org, down on a piece of paper, because I wanted to give that to Guy Penrod, if I got the chance to? So, went back to that room and they were all there. Got to say hello and shake hands with guy and give him that paper, with this pages link written on it. Told him it was a real good Christian webpage and he thanked me for it. So glad, I got to do that. :-)

The concert lasted over two hours and when Sis and I headed home,it was 8:20 and dark. Part of the way, we had to pass over this really big lake and it was just beautiful, what with the full moon, shining down on it! :-)

And a really nice thing for my oldest Sis. She's 70 years old now and when we went into the concert area and set down, the lady in front of us, she was someone Sis had gone to school with, many, many years ago! They had both graduated, from the same class. And before and after the program, Sis and her had a great time talking with each other. :-)

Just a real good time last night. :-)

Isn't it just lovely when everything comes together like that?  I usually hear about events the day after.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus

Ronny to Lazarus:
I know what you mean Lazarus! And so glad things worked out so well this time, for me and my oldest sister. :-)

Just sitting here and thinking of two things, I would like to do this year; but need to do some research on one, so I'll get to go to such! :-)  They have a baseball team around here, for kids who are mildly to severely handicapped. I just want to go see them play and support them, in that way. Partly, this is important to me, because I'm so hard of hearing and we didn't have such programs, when I was growing up. And just so glad to see, that they have this program, for the local kids now. :-)

Also want to go to town today or tomorrow. A garage sale going on, to support someone going on a mission trip. Would like to go to that sale and see if they might have something I want? And I want to leave them the link, to the tentmaker.org page.
