Hi All;
Col 1;13 " He has rescued us from the tyranny of darkness AND TRANSFERRED US into the kingdom of His beloved Son."

To be transferred one needs to be officially released from the present surroundings.

Col 2;13,14 " And although you were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ.
He forgave us all our transgressions,
having cancelled the certificate of debt with it's legal demands against us,
which was hostile to us.
He has taken it away by nailing it to the cross."

* Were dead- past tense.
* Complete forgiveness.
* Cancellation totally wipes out something- ergo total release from the debt of sin thanks to Christ nailing these things to the cross WAY before we were even born.

col 3;4" When Christ, Who is your life, appears, THEN YOU ALSO WILL APPEAR WITH HIM IN GLORY."

Amen! Wow! Total change for the incredible difference.
Won't be needing the car/bike/walking frame.. anymore,

Transferred because we are Transformed....into His likeness.

Only God could think of something so wonderous as this.

I am in awe.........

D.
7"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened....

Matthew 7:7 -8

Amen! Our flawed character is "crucified with Him".. is circumcised from us.. Traded in our heart of stone. We have been fully "adopted by Him and born again" into His family and influence.. Though we are not yet fully 'of age'...

Transplanted from a chaotic, weed overgrown garden which weeds choke the life out.. Transplanted into a garden of good rich soil..

Amen! from darkness (and death) into light (and life).

Amen, He is truly wondrous.. totally awe inspiring!
100% wise & wonderful.

The OP puts me in mind of the Law of the Jubilee, which we find in Leviticus 25:8-13.

"You shall count off seven Sabbaths of years, seven times seven years; and there shall be to you the days of seven Sabbaths of years, even forty-nine years. Then you shall sound the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month. On the Day of Atonement you shall sound the trumpet throughout all your land. You shall make the fiftieth year holy, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee to you; and each of you shall return to his own property, and each of you shall return to his family. That fiftieth year shall be a jubilee to you. In it you shall not sow, neither reap that which grows of itself, nor gather from the undressed vines. For it is a jubilee; it shall be holy to you. You shall eat of its increase out of the field. In this Year of Jubilee each of you shall return to his property."

:offtopic: BTW, no one has yet responded  :sigh: (AFAIK) to my offer in the last post of my thread "Heaven, Yes - Hell, No" in Hellbuster's Hallow.  :btantrum: Have a look, pls.  :winkgrin:
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus

 :Chinscratch: :Chinscratch: I wonder if that final day when death is totally defeated and swallowed up by life.. will be in His calendar upon a Day of Atonement.. Just a passing thought..
