Because getting to heaven isn't the goal. Titus 2:14, "who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds."

I'm glad you're here searching for answers because there is no doubt things will start coming together for you. I used to have all questions and no answers, lots of confusion and mystery.

Hebrews 11:6  "And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him."

I think when you understand that there is no fiery hell to be tortured in, you will lose you're fear and be able to think of this life here and now and figure out heaven later. God has you covered and you're not going to fall through the cracks. Just my two cents worth.  :smile:

Hi Chester,

God has set into motion a glorious process, so that all mankind will come to know Him, love Him and worship Him.

Our journey here on earth is a part of that process. It will not end until we all go 'home' to God, and have accepted and embraced the above.

So, Heaven is the eventual place, but it is the journey that makes us fully God's children, the body of Christ.

Young's Literal Translation, 1 Peter 2:9

What was done when Adam and Eve bit the apple, has been reconciled by Jesus' death on the cross. Now, we are, each in our turn, becoming part of the body of Christ, until all mankind will kneel and praise Jesus, and be united fully with God.

Whow....it gives me chills, sometimes.

To think we have the honor of being part of this process!

I think because God sees value in the learning process. He compares himself to a gardener who tills the soil and watches for growth. Why? I don't know, that's just how he is, like how you are the way you are and I am the way I am.

Being completed and perfected in us all  ,  none that went before us can be perfected   without us all also   , when GOD IS ALL IN ALL [ LOVE is complete ]

GOD IS LOVE  and     A powerful LIVING MOVING AND ACTIVE breathing   HOLY SPIRIT  OF LIFE   ,  most of   our earthly lives have never known the Love of   GOD    being this , it is the body of  death ,   it is  the carnal mind that must be changed and healed to the mind of CHRIST    that honors the  Father     totally   , LOVES  , KNOWS   and does His Fathers  business , because He is exactly LIKE HIM    and loves  His own body of living things  ..

I guess there's big fuss these days about "contemplative prayer" which I guess is a movement in some churches.. but not strictly biblical..

But I put a lot of credence in (real?) contemplative prayer, which to me is pondering things of an eternal (ultimate reality) nature while in prayer.. Comes natural, yes? :laughing7: ..that to ask Him the why of things and then rest in Him concerning all things and wait patiently for Him.. ..He can guide our ponderings.. as we ponder the why's.. One question I have, or which often comes to mind, just how would one go about creating a forever un-breakable paradise/perfection? Perhaps program all creatures fully? Especially the rational creatures. What sort of creatures/created beings would these be? ...What is it that He is creating? Just what is He about, anyway? I'm sure it has to do with "LOVE"!

:gsmile: I'm just a practical gal, love the earth and what He has created/is creating, think it's glorious, awesome and oh so beautiful and perfect, even while subjected to the law of death/entropy. How much more so when all is done and proven..

Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven...

As yet, His will is being done on earth through those in whom the veil has been torn, through the revelation of Christ crucified...

"by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh" Heb 10:20

"And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus," Eph 2:6

In the ages to come the veil will be rent for all....

Look, he is coming with the clouds," and "every eye will see him, even those who pierced him"; and all peoples on earth "will mourn because of him." So shall it be! Amen. Rev 1:7

And the heaven was split apart like a scroll...

I believe the heavens are like waters, and in Genesis we see that the waters above were separated from the waters below and the waters above were called "heaven".

"Come let everyone who thirsts drink freely of the water of life"

As the "veils" are torn, more and more see Christ crucified and Christ raised... in each of them the kingdom of heaven comes...

"Lift up you gates and be lifted up you eternal doors that the king of glory may come in..."

Until, when time is complete, "the gathering together of all things into one in Christ" is fulfilled Eph 1 9-11

And God becomes "all in all". Heaven will be everywhere and in every one throughout all creation.
