Confused

Hi and thanks for allowing me into the inner circle.  I am looking forward to learning more.  I read the article on hell and it caught my interest.  I've always felt something was a little off about the hell situation.  Made it hard to love a God who could be so cruel.  Looking forward to learning more.  I know that sounds bad, I love our Lord, he has been so good to me.  It's so hard to explain...but I will not give up..Again thanks

Ross

Welcome;
Our future becomes clearer and more glorious as our loving Father and Christ reveal and teach us the truth which indeed sets us free.
Christ talks about our earthly dad, saying; " that they would not give us a stone instead of a fish, and our Heavenly Father loves us more than they do."
Paul says the things to come are more glorious than Moses saw in the desert.
Also says that NOTHING can keep us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
ALL pretty good news really. Learning more is an on-going process.
Have A Great Day. :dsunny:

 Thank you all so much for the welcome.  You know Ross those things you said about our earthly parents loving us and of course I am a parent..and even tho my kiddos sometimes make me so angry I could never torment them..... :sigh:  This has always made me wonder about the doctrine of hell.  I sometimes wonder if the lack of some feelings I have is due to not knowing or understanding my feelings toward God.  One day feeling love and loved the next confused.

Hi there !...welcome to Tentmaker ! ..I'm pretty sure we all have that in common with you that it's hard to truly love a cruel being who would torment human beings forever..be terrified of such a god, yes..but love ?..hmmm... anyways, there's plenty in the Bible to support the belief in a loving God who ultimately redeems all his creatures...that's the only way forward for me..bathing in His eternal love...I'm done subscribing to religion of fear. Hope you have a great time here and find it helpful !.

We seem to be only able to think from our experiences. If we have been treated poorly, even hurt, then it is hard to grasp true love.
The learning is an on-going process. Bit by bit the doubts will be dissolved in ways that you have never seen before.
His ways are higher and way better than our ways. His patience and love works wonders.

Amen, amen.. whenever He sends a truth, He will confirm it.. First by His Word of course, then in the little ways in which He is able to personally communicate with each one of us letting us know what we are learning is real!

He is so able.. and so good!! gracious, merciful and kind.. :HeartThrob:

WELCOME!

Keep in mind that confusion is a temporary condition, and this is the best site on the www to dispel confusion.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus
