Hello everyone, I'm Mark, 43 years old, live in England and hope to find out and with the help of all of you learn about Jesus true plan for mankind.  I was bought up in a Christian home, where I was taught Hell, Fire and Brimstone from my parents which caused many deep questions about Christianity, other Religions, God etc.  I've always believed in God, but could NEVER understand being taught that God loves you SO much in this life but when you die if you don't know Him You'll forever be punished...... like a loving Father could do that?!!!  Ive got so much to say and many questions, research etc into what the truth actually is.  I feel my Christian life has been a lie, as I've never truly worshipped God 100% out of love because my relationship had been based on fear..... much more to say later!!!!

Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

Welcome inside the tent. A place to share and learn about the victorious gospel and the salvation of ALL.

   Greetings Mark ,

May you truly know the love of God .... Eph 3
18 may have power, together with all the saints, to comprehend the length and width and height and depth of His love,

19and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

20Now to Him who is able to do infinitely more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us,...

God bless , Rose

I have found that a fairly thick skin is needed by Universalists.  I have been accused of preaching the "doctrines of devils," but have found that the right questions shut the mouths of denouncers and other assorted trolls.  Some things in the Scriptures just cannot be answered by ECT theology.  My favorites are:

If God is to become All in all, as I Corinthians 15:28 tells us, how can anyone still be dead and/or in Hell?

If the Lake of Fire is the second death, yet we are told in I Corinthians 15:26 that the last enemy to be defeated will be death.  If that is so, must the Lake of Fire not give up its dead, just as the sea did?

As yet, no hell-iolater has given me an answer.

EDIT:  I almost forgot this one..The most telling thing I found about Hell is that in one of the old languages and mythologies of pagan north Europe, the goddess or ogress of the underworld was called "Hel," and her realm went by the same name. In the wide scope of the breadth of Indo-European languages, I see this as a direct parallel of the Greek Hades: goddess and realm.

Again, I pose a question: "Hel" is pagan, but "Hell" is Christian?
