God Is Love

"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?" 37 And He said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' 38 This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 The second is like it, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' 40 On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets."


I really don't see God as very involved in loving Himself. If "God is love" and "God is light and in Him is no darkness at all" I see Him as fountain ever pouring, and His satisfaction, His glory, is in that He Is That He Is. His joy is in the communion of love, like a river always flowing.

He is a pure being and He is bringing us to pure being. That is the work of the cross in our lives, destroying the "double minded man" in us.

Babylon means confusion by mixture, Jerusalem means double peace. We are on a journey from one to another. The Lord is our Shepherd. He will bring us through by restoring our souls even as we walk through the valley of the shadow of death.

When God has had His way in us we love. We love all in our communion of love with Him who loves all. We love with Him who loves because He Is Love, and we are in Him.

The eye is the light of the soul.

Darkness is not just the absence of light, like a night in which one can see the stars. The darkness of self-centeredness is like a black hole. It is always sucking in, yet it remains endlessly empty and never says "enough". In a black hole, even the light becomes darkness, and Oh, How great is that darkness.

SO yea :), I think God is zealous for His glory, because His glory is to love. His glory is His being Who He Is and all that He does proceeds from that pure fountain.

When He has become All In All......communion will be everywhere, free and spontaneous like a waterfall, deep calling unto deep, the celebration of joy unspeakable and full of glory, a fountain flowing from beneath the throne into a crystal sea feeding a river that makes glad the city of God.

"If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. 11"These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full." Jn 15


"I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, 23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. 24 Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. 26 I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them." Jn 17

This is what the salvation of our souls is. Saved from double mindedness and the fruit of our affections being suspended between Him and the idol of self. Saved into purity of being, a soul existing only to love and receive love in joyous communion and endless creativity.

I hate to be unloving, but it sure seems like the 'church' lost it some where along the way.. (well, if facebook groups are any indication, that is :mshock: )

Or the turn or burn mentality..

But! :banana: absolutely! ..how awesome life will be when Yahweh is all in all.. and that crystal clear river flows throughout all the city of God and the earth made new.. which waters shall be for the healing of the nations.

There's so much beauty in life now (and people).. we can only imagine.. how glorious and beautiful all shall be when our heavenly Father is all in all.. :cloud9:

                        is, so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with
                        punishment. So the one who fears has not been perfected in love.
                        We love because He first loved us."

1 Cor 13 highlights definitions.
Psalms refer to love many times.
We are hear to learn about true love and just what that entails.
Wisdom comes from experience- so we need to go through much to learn much.
Discipline is never comfortable at the time, but knowing the security of position helps to explain the lesson.
Judgment can mean correction- not being discarded, but corrected.
Having the security of position In Christ releases the fear of expulsion, the fear of rejection, and emphasises the reality of true love.
So much to learn. Such a glorious, sensible, fully planned future inspires hope to the point of expectation beyond measure.

This is so true! I have noticed that when I am full of love I do not have fear. But once I graduated from college, my fear came back. Because of job hunting. I have to discuss about my past life which I really dislike but learned so much. I have changed soooo much. And many people even noticed my change. Some lobe being around me. But the ones that don't thats because I stop doing what they still are doing. I guess I am boring to them. But they do miss me, they say! But my fear kicked in when I should not let it. Yes, I made many mistakes but taking a look back at it I do not want to change nothing because I learned so much and met so many wonderful people that I now can't live without. I love yhem all so much even my friends I used to do stupid stuff with. Well this made me realize that people should just accept me and my past life and know that I have changed. It taught me so much. Well, I know I have faith in god and know he have better plans for me. So if I do not get the job due to my past thats ok. Something better will come along and I will be more happier with what ever he gives me. He is so wonderful. I can't wait to learn more after this life time.

Thanks!! I need to not fear! I know I am ok Now. And god does know what our future holds. Hope he gives me a good ending. Because the beginning of my childhood life was really rocky. And kept being rocky. Then now I am better.

Perfect love casts out all fear.
God is perfect love, so He gives the security of position through what Christ did for us.
We are to come to HIM as little children.
His love literally cannot be defeated by anything.
Good to hear the positive He is doing with you.
